Strub Residential brings to the table what no other Realtor I have ever come into contact with does: a truly client centric focus. His team's dedication and ability to help me find a home I love, while guiding me in making a smart investment choice are uncanny. I am an all out, get things done type of guy; so when I decided I wanted to buy a home, I already had the location, price and what I needed to be happy lined up. However Mark still helped me take a step back and really define my goals and hopes in a way that not only truly suited me better, but made the process so much easier. I never anticipated landing in my dream neighborhood (Crestview), however with some coaching I am proud to say I am getting all that I had on my wish list plus 200 sq/ft and charm I can't imagine finding in another home. Back to being an "all out type of guy" from the date I contacted Mark about purchasing a home to the date I closed my option period was less than a month. Mark handled my ADD, rapid fire, ... Firstly, let me start by saying that I count Mark Strüb on my short list of close friends. No, this is not a matter of full disclosure, but an important measure of his approach to being a Realtor. Prior to representing me as a buyer's agent, I knew Mark as an acquaintance, but got to know him much better over the few months that we were looking for homes. Mark takes an incredibly personalized approach to purchasing a home. The very first thing he did when we came to him to discuss buying a place was talk about our interests, the places we like to go, and the things we like to do. It was immediately clear that his first priority was to understand who my wife and I were as people so that he could help us walk the delicate tight-rope that is balancing price, location, size, and home quality. In the past I've worked with realtors who have done one of two things--either they have pressured me into making a hasty decision that I knew wasn't right, or they were completely off base about what ... This is not the first home I've bought, by a long shot, as I am over 50, and have worked with realtors at home in Arizona in the past, several times, with both good and bad experiences. We were looking for a small home for my daughter as she is attending graduate school at UT. I looked at many internet sites for an Austin realtor, made phone calls, and sent email. Mark was immediately responsive and was very knowledgeable about the Austin market, understanding exactly what we wanted, which was convenience to the university, safety, value, convenience to shopping and services, and an ability for the property to appreciate in value. He sent us frequent updates by email of available properties, and responded immediately to questions about neighborhoods and property values. We visited Austin for a long weekend, saw many properties, most of which would have worked for us, and left Austin having put in an offer, with some second and third choices. We ended up with our first choice home, in w... Read more

The people at Strub Residential consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent realtor, I couldn't have done it. Mark and his team made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style. As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighbourhoods, and with little credit history, many realtors would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge, and succeeded with flying colours. Mark and his team have always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighbourhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, they were already on to the next issue. Strub Residential is especially attuned to the needs of young home-bu... Read more

The perception I had of a Real Estate agent was that of a very pushing individual more interested in speeding up a sale than in assessing and fulfilling the real needs of the customer. Additionally, since I was coming from out of state the distance added more of that risk factor to my buying experience. From the first minute I spoke with Mark over the phone, he immediately got my interest due to his obvious knowledge and ample experience of both the current trends and the future of Austin market. His approach is very relaxed, yet his recommendations are clear, concise and very professional. After carefully assessing my needs, he put together a comprehensive list of properties that matched my budget, size and expected location. He even drove me to several properties I was interested on until we got exactly what we expected. My buying experience could not have been more rewarding and after a couple of searching weeks we are in the right track to ownership thanks to a real professional as... Read more

I would like to state that Mark Strub has been the BEST REALTOR that we have ever encountered. Mark has been patient with our search process. It took us several years of being very picky to choose the exact house of our dreams. Mark always provided exactly what we were looking for and provided his expertise when needed. When we took interest in homes he would go above and beyond and research the area and what other houses were selling for. Mark provided the professionalism and relational approach that we needed. I would and have recommended Mark to anyone that is looking for a realtor. Mark also helped us sell our home. It was one of the most stressful events of my life and he was always confident and reassuring. Mark was able to tell us what we needed to do to in order to prepare our home for being on the market. As a result our house was sold at the HIGHEST value that a home ever sold for in our neighborhood. Mark was great at assessing what to price at and also provided all the pros... Read more

We love Mark and had the best experience with him. We originally purchased a house with him as our agent in 2006 and then July, 2008 decided to sell. We contacted him and he came over that week to discuss the house and pricing. We were shocked and excited to hear him suggest that we list it for $35K MORE than we thought we could get. He was wiling to listen to our concerns and worked with us as a partner through the staging process all the way through negotiations and closing. We sold our house in 34 days! The best part of it though is that we sold it for more than we expected AND in a really short time because it was priced correctly in the market and because we listened to Mark who really knows the central Austin market. If you're looking for someone who will give you honest feedback on your house and is enjoyable to work with, Mark would be a great fit!‎

Mark and I met on the Internet while I was surfing for investment property to remodel. Over the past two years we have worked together to sell and purchase two houses. Throughout the long arduous process to decide whether to remodel or to sell a home that I had owned for over 10 years, Mark was continually helpful and above all patient. He provided me with extensive information so that I could make an educated decision. He was positive minded and always up-beat. He listened to what I was trying to accomplish and guided me down the road towards a profitable decision. Once the decision was made to either purchase or sell the home, he was efficient and thorough with completing the financial process. I would recommend Mark Strub to anyone, especially my mom.‎

When we looked into Austin real-estate, we had very specific needs -- but limited exposure to all the intricacies of Austin neighborhoods. We live in Houston but wanted to establish a weekend home in the capital city. Mark and his team had the exact information we needed - and were able to quickly understand our goals and give us the insight we needed. Mark quickly became a partner in our search - with keen intuition as to what worked for our lifestyle and what we should exclude. He never wasted our time (or his). His insight is unique; his style is personal. He is a pro - in every sense of the word - and his candor in working with us made all the difference.‎

I worked with Mark for four months back in 2005 searching for my first investment property. I was pretty picky. He never pressured me to buy something that wouldn't be profitable. We sold it this past summer. Mark priced it just right and gave me excellent advice on what to fix up, and what not to, before listing it. Mark's knowledge of real estate, and especially the Austin market, make both buying and selling the house painless. I plan to use Mark's services in future real estate deals.‎

I put in calls to several realtors when I began looking for property. Mark was the first to call back and had a website up for me with properties that met my criteria before anyone else even called back. He was on top of every question during the search and was very helpful in keeping the negotiations on an even keel after I found what I wanted. I will always give his name and the highest recommendation to anyone who is wanting to buy or sell property.‎

I was very pleased and completely impressed with Mark's knowledge of the current housing market and the greater Austin area. He listened to my needs and was very thorough with the properties he brought to my attention. It was a long process and he never gave up the search. Always responsive to my phone calls and inquiries, meeting any day of the week, he gave me the feeling my search would be successful‎.

I have worked with Mark on a number of projects and every one has been a learning experience for me. Some transactions have required a good amount of patience, agility and most importantly, creativity. Mark's ability to think out of the box with confidence and skill has made him an indispensable tool for navigating Austin's real estate market.‎

Krysten was my real estate agent when I moved to Austin, TX. She was fabulous to work with, got what I needed/wanted immediately and went the extra mile(s) to find it for me. She was personable, very well-informed and excellent at her job. I love the house she found and she made the entire transaction smooth and pleasant.
