An interesting story. The fact it went on so long and thought of as real makes it worth a good rating. I guess people just don't want to believe young girls can lie and deceive. Having three daughters I KNOW they can not only do it but do it effectively.

About Cottingley Fairies

In 1917 Elsie Wright(16) and Frances Griffiths(10) presented a series of photographs proving the existence of fairies. By modern standards the photos are anything but convincing or great quality. For its time however the photos were believed. So much in fact that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle became involved in an effort to help the girls prove they were real. 60 years later the girls admitted they were fake.
