New Planet Moving & Storage

I don't think anyone looks forward to moving whether it is on your own or with a mover. I mean literally everything seems to go wrong regardless right? Well I booked with New Planet Moving and they did everything they said they were going to. I had a pickup window of 3 days and although they came on day 3, they did get there within the time frame we agreed on. The delivery time was supposed to about 5-7 days, and they arrived on day 8... But with this being said they did a really good job on protecting my things, I had no damages and they did keep me up to date on everything once they KNEW the delivery schedule. The frustrating thing for most people I think is the fact that they can't tell you what is what until they are a day or two away from delivering. But I've moved a lot and I know this to be true with other moving companies too. They do many different moves on each truck, and therefore they have a lot of different factors to consider. Traffic, delays, other customers taking longer, having more questions, customers with more to load than planned or whatever.

I am very happy with the overall service I received from New Planet Moving, the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fact that they couldn't guarantee a pickup date in my area, and therefore I had to be available for 3 different days. I moved from Montana to Northern Virginia.

I moved with New Planet Moving back in 2009, and again this year. I received my stuff last week and just finally got everything unpacked. The only thing is a small scratch on the corner of the back of a dresser that has survived 4 moves so far in it's life LOL

When I used New Planet Moving the last time, I had no damages, and the movers were very helpful. So I of course wanted to use them for this move as well. They were able to accommodate my new home (with like 30 stairs) and waived the charge for me because I was a returning customer.

I have also referred a few of my friends to New Planet Moving who have also had good moves. And the moving company offers it's customer referral bonus' so be sure to tell your friends, and get free gift cards and stuff like that. I have already gotten 2.

These guys and gals did me just fine. The rate was good and stayed the same throughout. Every time I called they answered the phone, and were helpful. The movers who arrived to get my things were uniformed and clean. The main guy was a little short spoken, but super efficient and I felt confident that he would take the best care of my goods as well. When my delivery came, everything was in tact and I called to let them know of my satisfaction. They did ask me to please review them online so I really hope this helps! I was honestly shocked to find that moving with a moving company was actually less expensive than moving myself. I had a great experience nothing broke and my price stayed where they quoted me. I will recommend this company to friends and family in the future. It cost me only $1400 to move 2,000miles.

Every piece of furniture was placed in the new place exactly where we wanted, and our pieces are heavy... As i spoke to you the other day, we were so pleased, we asked you to move us back when we are ready...That is how satisfied we are with your company. I just want to tell you that we were pleased with your service from beginning to end. The guys at pick up were courteous and efficient.
We made contact with Carlos. He was kind and kept us up to date as to when he would be delivering. Both guys were patient and did a nice job.

My daughter was a little stressed during delivery and at the end found damage on a Secretary Desk. Carlos took a picture and said they would take care of it. He couldn't have been nicer. Later, I was able to point out that the damage was not on the part of New Planet but at another time period. When she was able to be calm, she had to agree that it was not New Planet's fault. Please disregard the damage claim.

I moved from California to Washington DC and I had a great move, and nothing was damaged. The girl was super nice and told me all the stuff that could or would be an extra charge upfront, several of my coworkers are relocating and i recommended new planet moving to do business with them because with all the scams i really fell lucky that we had a great move.

You read a lot of crap about movers and all the scams that can go along with the companies. After doing my research and talking to several different companies I chose New Planet Moving because really the girl Lauren was the only one from any of the companies that really explained things thoroughly and seemed to only talk about thier company as opposed to talking bad about every other moving company. And man some of these people were ruthless. Anyways at the end of the day I recieved my delivery and everything was fine, no damage or lost items which was really my only scare. Lauren had me over estimate my weight, and told me about the packing that I needed to accomplish, and I was ready to go when the movers got to my home. I also got printable packing labels, and coupons from thier website. My move was from Las Vegas NV to Denver CO.

I live in Atlanta and needed to move my mother to live with me. She is 83 now and as much as it has turned my life upside down and sideways i absolutley had to have her here. The thing was that in Michigan in the little city she was in didnt really have any moving companies that could go out and take a look at what she had. This really concerned me because all I read says only go with companies that can come to your home and do a "binding quote" I didnt even know what binding was but I did a ton of research and found that most companies do quotes to and from everywhere so I decided to go through the house with my mom on the phone and have her tell me everything that she had, i gave the same list to Lauren at New Planet Moving and she told me a price that sounded great, she then recommended that i overestimated an additional 500lbs to protect myself from going over. I headed to her advice. She was really nice and whenever i called or emailed her she always got right back with me. The office called me the day before the move to let me know what time they would arrive at my moms. When they did arrive they found that my mom had not finished packing her stuff. The driver called me (which i was so greatful for) I was concerned about the additional fees that could come up and was relieved when he called to let me know exactly what was going to be needed. I am never happy to spend money, but at least he gave me a good rate- all the items were delivered and only a few minor dings here and there. I was quoted a 10 day delivery window and recieved my moms items on day 8. Overall a great experience and I dont know too many people that can say they had even a decent experience with thier move.

i moved from ohio to nevada and i had a great move. they told me theyd come on the 1st or the 2nd, and they called me two days before to let me know i was moving on the 1st and that was good because i really wanted to leave on the 2nd. the movers were very helpful and gave me a break on the long carry from my apartment in ohio. i gave them pizza and then we went to the scale. i decided to do that so that i could pay my balance then and not worry about it later. my weight was 120lbs over but they said that they would have the office call me to check it out-- well when the guy called he told me that since i didnt add anything, i wasnt going to have to pay more- i was so greatful. i had my items stored for 2 weeks so i could find my new place, and although they moved my items into and out of storage before bringing them to me, all of my stuff was good, nothing was broken. the movers at delivery were also cool and set up all my stuff for me too-. i asked them how i could thank them and they told me that reviews are so important these days (and they are because i looked at a million movers and they all had bad reviews), so i posted one for them. thanks new planet i will recommend your copany

I moved from Dallas to Las Vegas and back to Dallas again. Both moves were with New Planet. During my first experience with them I was very satisfied with the rate that I was quoted, and the total move I did had about $150 total in extra packing charges that I may have avoided if I payed closer attention to what the girl was telling me as opposed to getting hyper about the rate LOL. All in all my items arrived in fine condition no major issues along the way. The delivery was 3 days later than I had planned, but being that I moved with Mayflower before I knew to plan a little extra just in case. By the way, the delivery wasn’t guaranteed, it was an estimate. They do offer a guaranteed delivery service the thing is though my move isn’t worth it. It’s just me and my two kids in a 2 bedroom so … No reason to get the entire truck for ourselves. The second move I knew about packing my mirrors and TV’s so I did that, they also gave me a 5% repeat customer discount to move back home to Texas. All of my goods have officially traveled over 2,000miles with New Planet Moving and all has been just fine. The dispatch assistant, the sales girls and the movers are always a pleasure.

I am writing in reference to our experience with New Planet Moving from 06/22-06/30/11.
Lauren Alexandra was the first individual that my husband and I spoke with at New Planet Moving in May as we were obtaining quotes from a number of moving companies. Lauren was very patient as she listened to our questions and concerns as this was our first major move across country from Ohio to California. She followed up with occasionally after we received the initial quote as we were trying to make a decision. Based upon a number of references that Lauren had provided and I had made contact with the references, we made the decision to select New Planet Moving.

Lauren once again was very patient as I believe I had her walk through the inventory list three times and our list continued to change. She suggested that we slightly over-estimate which was the right call...we still had more inventory than what I had given her the final time!
Lauren said that we would have the person in charge of our move call me the day before they arrived, and he called as expected! Leo and Daniel were two energetic movers with a great sense of humor. They worked extremely hard as they packed up the semi-truck on a somewhat hot-humid day dodging one short-lived rain storm. I walked them through all three floors of our house and they did a beautiful job wrapping and protecting the furniture that I had not disassembled, as well as wrapping up a number of our large framed pictures. Leo gave me some great pointers as I was still packing the last of the boxes when they arrived. I was amazed at the precision of packing from floor to ceiling...I thought I was a good packer!

Upon arrival at our townhouse in California, Leo and Daniel once again did a great job efficiently moving all the furniture into the respective rooms, reassembling furniture, and patiently waited until I moved my cats to a different bedroom so they could bring the last bedroom furniture and boxes upstairs.
Although my husband fell asleep on the couch and my mom and I were busy orchestrating where everything was to be placed late into the night, Leo and Daniel were professionals.
When we are ready to move again, my first call will be to New Planet Moving!

I have never moved before. I went to some website that got me a ton of estimates. I went through an inventory with the first person that called me, and they told me I had about 4000lbs. So I shopped all the companies with the same weight estimate. When I spoke with Lauren at New Planet she informed me that most of the issues customers have stem from being over the weight estimate. Even though I insisted on not going through another inventory she kind of made me. Well she told me that my weight was 5,000lbs, as much as I was not looking forward to paying more for my move than I had been planning on with a 4000lb estimate, I elected to go with the 5000lb estimate. I went to the scale before and after with the movers to verify if I really have 5000lbs, and in fact I had 200 more lbs than that. Being that my inventory didn’t change by much they didn’t charge me for that 200lbs which I thought was cool. I received my furniture in tact yesterday got everything sorted out and called to thank them for giving me an upfront quote. There are so many reviews out there on each company so it was kinda scary. My recommendation to anyone moving would be to take your time get a valid inventory list and keep in mind that other people who complained about going over, would’ve went over with any company and that company could’ve gotten that review. These guys were great. Long distance moves suck but they made mine much easier.

I recently got my delivery from this company. All of my items were in tact and the movers at delivery were awesome. The guys at pickup were pretty good as well. I did wait for 2 days longer than I planned on but that was no big deal because I was staying with my son at his house while I waited, plus they called me to let me know they were running late. Everything went really well, one thing is for sure when I made the reservation the girl basically forced me to over-estimate the weight of my items by like 500lbs, I thought it was totally excessive, so I went to the scal and attended the weighing in and out, and she was right, I actually had about 75 additional pounds, but they didn't charge me for that. I am very happy with the service and rates that I recieved and will be using them again when I move up to the North West as well.

I recently moved with this company and although I will admit they did call to ask me if I would post a positive review, I really don’t mind to do it at all. They did a great job the lady I booked with, the movers at both my pickup and delivery were great, and the dispatcher was super helpful. I also appreciated the fact that they always stuck to the initial answers to questions that I had. This is also one of the things that made me choose them. Other companies were changing the answers depending on when I’d call. I was very nervous to move with any carrier but I am glad that I did choose New Planet Moving because everything got here just fine and I will totally recommend them in the future. I think people need to keep in mind that if there is an issue with any company people always complain right away, but even myself I had a great move, and I wouldn’t have thought to write the review unless they asked. I did however send them a positive letter so I somewhat thought it out lol, Thank you guys I will def use you on my next move!

I recently moved from Las Vegas to California and used New Planet Moving. Like most people I looked around for quite a while trying to get the best rate, and more than that i wanted to be sure my items were safe. They offered me a rate on an exclusive truck from Vegas to here and I decided it was worth the extra $500 that they charge for this for service. A lot of other companies were charging between 2-3000 for this move, but they charged more at 3550 -- at first i was like oh this is too much money for me, but they explained to me that they include so much more than the other movers as far as tape, shrink wrap, fuel some boxes etc... so I went online and did a bunch of research and i have to say all the companies had some good, and some not so good reviews, ultimately I chose New Planet because they made me feel more comfortable than anyone else did. Every time I'd ask them a question no matter who i got on the phone they gave me the same answer. I am very happy to say all of my items arrived in tact the movers were really great and so was the office staff, thank you so much new planet, I will definately use you on our next move!

I had a really great experience, the movers were cool the chick in the office was sweet, the rate was cool all i would say is grab a few extra boxes just in case youforget something cause thiers are pretty pricey, like ten bucks or so. great job no damage got my stuff to WA in 4 days like promised

When I finally found a job, I was so excited. But it was in California and I was in Chicago. I wasn't as excited about that but what can you do. I went online to this website and it sent my information to what seemed like 50 different companies. I looked through my million emails and decided on 5 to compare that looked like reliable companies. (You'd never belive some of the other companies unprofessionalism) Out of the 5 I chose New Planet was right in the middle cost wise, and I spoke with a really nice girl named Lauren. I spoke with the other companies as well and narrowed it down to New Planet, and one other company. After doing some research I found that they both had mixed reviews online, I admit I was nervous you hear all the horror stories about moving, so I went back to my million emails and picked a few more and researched them, and they were terrible. I called Lauren and she helped me understand how everything works, and that as long as I gave ample time to deliver, and had an accurate inventory that they would take care of me at New Planet Moving. I took a leap and jumped on board. I am happy to say that my movers were so helpful and so fast it was unbelievable, the delivery guys were just as great and only one table had a small scratch. That was it! I am here in Cali now relaxing in a nice area with my new job, and I paid exactly what I was planning to for my moving service. I felt that I owed them to write a review, as I had given them such a hard time about the negative ones, and my move went so well. I will recommend New Planet Moving to everyone, THank you!

I recently moved with this company and everything went well. I was given all of the information upfront and their price was very comparable to what I had been receiving from the other companies. I got pickedup on time and they delivered just a couple days after I asked them to. Everything went well :)

Except for a small confusion over payment options at delivery, everything went great on both ends of the move. Both crews were excellent. Our furniture was well cared for and arrived in great shape. I may have mis-heard you about "cashiers check or money order". I thought a personal money order from Wells Fargo Bank would be just as good. At any rate, the agreement for a cashiers check today at least meant only one more trip to the bank, rather than having to deal with the bank AND the post office while the crew waited. Thanks for all your help setting things up. Everything was true to your word. I would certainly recommend New Planet Moving to anyone else.

I moved with New Planet moving from Reno and had an excellent move with next day delivery. Recently I recommended my sister to use their service and she also had a good move. She did end up going over the quote slightly, and after investigation found she had left several large items off the inventory by mistake. The movers that arrived were uniformed, professional and fluent in english which was important as she is older, and language barriers are about impossible. In the future I will recommend New Planet with the advice to always quote higher than you think you are to be sure and safe and pack all of your breakables , or they will do it for you for a little more

my move was smooth and stressfree. Im not sure what all the hype is about but these guys were great. the uniformed workers were experienced and very efficient. I'd definately recommend them to my family and friends!

My daughter was in a really bad situation that I needed to get her out of right away. I pulled myself together and went online to a website that sent my phone number to every company in the world, or so it seemed. I had all kinds of different types f people calling me, from all hours of the day. But when i spoke with the girl at New Planet Moving she stuck in my head. She was nice, explained everything, told me about a lot of things that are hidden in other quotes and things like that. I was nervous, but I had to do things quickly. My daughter lived in Colorado. They picked everything up the very next day after I reserved and my daughter got on a plane. I'm in Georgia that's where I brought her to, it took a little over a week to get everything and nothing was damaged. This situation was tough by itself, but luckily the move went well. I truley appreciate the help that I got from this company, and I will use them when I make my move to Florida.

these people hanging on to anyones furniture. they stored my items for
3 weeks and as soon as i found my apartment i called and let them know

i am finally happy about a company this company. i had a huge move and 4 bedroom house a garage and a storage so i just knew something had to go wrong with as much stuff as i had. so when i got my stuff i was pleased to say i didnt have one item broke.
even the price was fair. i was afraid that since i had so much stuff that i would forget a lot of it and you know what they say they charge you off the weight.
well lesley made sure that she overestimated my move for that reason she really took the time lords knows we were on the phone forever.
now i wanted to just say its a 4 bedroom and not take the time to go over everything but she really insisted and said i would thank her later.
she is right because from the other quotes i got the y were way to low and i would have paid a lot more at delivery so we went thru it all and she even told me to add another 1000 lbs on top of it for those misc. items she said. so i went with her idea.
thank god i did . i didnt realize how difficult mopving could be but i felt better after she went over everything with me.
it was funny she said she was a counselor and we had a good laugh anyways i am very happy with the move and i told her that i would refer her to everyone i talk to so if you need a mover just ask for her she was great and has a great personality always happy.

I moved with this company and just recieved all of my furniture and boxes in tact. I have to admit i was really skeptical about going with this company. There are so many companies to choose from, and they all call you and email you a hundred times a day. Each one with thier own schpeel about how moving "works"... I booked with New Planet because the representative took a TON of time out with me and answered every single question the same, each time i called. This was something that set them apart. Other people would tell me one thing on the first call and somethign totally different the next time i would talk to them. My delivery to New York took 11 days with New planet. I was ready for delivery as soon as possible, and i think 11 days is good considering Mayflower quoted me 3 weeks. I didn't read the reviews until after i had reserved, so that definatly made me nervous, especially when at first i couldnt get a straight answer on delivery date for my move. But the dispatcher explained to me that as the truck got closer to me, they would confirm the date, i stuck it out, and they did what they said they would. I have never moved this far before, and my experience really was great. I am glad that they pass out the comment cards to customers to write reviews on line, i would've never thought to if they hadn't. Thank you new planet moving for getting my items to me quickly, and all in one piece. I will let anyone i know whos moving, that they should use your service!

so i got layed off from my job after being employed with the union after 15 years,once i made my decision to get the h*%% out if las vegas i began seaching on the internet for moving companies i wanted one that was local so if anything went wrong i would have a starting point.Soon after i recieved a ton of phone calls from all different movers finally i got on the phone with a girl from new planet moving her name was marisathey sent out a guy named roman who came out to my house and gave me an onsite estimate they were very upfront about the costs the move was going smooth or so i thought all of a sudden i get a phone call from a company that was going to be moving my vehicle they said that they could no longer move my vehicle and they werent sure when!!!!!!WOW thanks for the heads up the movers were suppose to be there tomarrow so i got on the phone and called marisa she wasnt in yet but she called me back about ten minutes later i explained my situation she said let me see what i can do about ten minutes later she gave me a call and said she found a company that could pick up the car that day and it was 90.00 dollars less than the company i chose.Next thing i know the compay for the car needs me to fax over some papers so i mentioned this to her she said for me to come into the office i could print, sign, and fax everything from the office there.She stopped what she was doing to help me i was extremly shocked this is so rare now a days expecially in vegas.Later that evening the movers came got me all packed up and loaded i got my stuff 7 days later from the pick up date I HAD NO PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!marisa and lauren asked me to write a review so here i am i want to say thank you for getting me to n.j. happy and my stuff didnt have a scratch on anything it was all covered the guys were just as helpful as the girl so with that i say THANK YOU----THANK YOU--------THANK YOU------------------

I hired New Planet to move me from Arizona to Oregon. Leslie got me all set up and she was really nice. I read alot of good reviews about them online and so I felt that it was ok to go ahead and hire them. I called several times before moving day to confirm the pick up time. 9am on pick up day came and went and nobody showed up. Nobody in the corporate office would answer because it was a weekend. About 2pm the movers finally showed up. Never got an I'm sorry for being 5 hours late just excuse after excuse after excuse. They blamed it on dispatch saying that they were told I was in Prescott, AZ when I was actually in Tempe, AZ. Said there was a fire on I-17 which there was not. They finally arrived and I was off doing some other things in another room of the house, they finished, had me sign the paperwork and left. About 5 minutes after they left I walked to the back bedroom to pick up my purse and computer, and noticed my I-Pod which was sitting on top of my laptop charging was now missing... I had to wait until Monday to file a complaint, and all they told me was just file a police report, get us a copy and we will reimburse you... kinda hard to do when you don't live in Tempe, AZ anymore. So on Monday I started calling at 9am to complain about the movers being so late to pick-up Joe in disbatch avoided my calls until almost 3pm that day. I had to repeatly call, at one point the receptionist refused to transfer me to dispatch, we argued and I eventually hung up and then called back later. So I finally get ahold of Joe and he tells me that my delievery date which I was told was going to be that Wednesday was not even going to leave Las Vegas till Thursday and I would have my stuff by Saturday or Sunday, and then that turned into Sunday or Monday which then turned into Monday. The movers who dropped off my stuff were rather nice, they at least called me to give me a heads up when they got close to the area. Overall my experience was bad, alot of sleepless nights wondering if I was ever going to see my stuff again. They may be cheaper then other moving companies but its for a reason... Beware, Stay away, don't use them!

Great movers! I had lots of glass furniture, nothing broken or scratched. The price was the best quote I got and the mover in charge, Al, went above and beyond to make the move efficient, safe and quick. The customer rep Trish was extremely helpful in explaining all charges and everything I needed to know to prepare for the move. I would absolutely recommend these guys any day! Especially if you get Trish and Al to work with! Thanks guys for making my first long distance move a painless one!

I have to speak on behalf of a third party that was forced into taking the only option out of a very bad situation by their insurance company that denied a claim. This company sub's out all of your moving experiences with them, and the people mentally force you to make a statement and sign documents then tell you "it's Okay that's why you have insurance", which is not that true if you read the fine print. But I am taking it upon myself to WARN other victims especially women of this company. DO NOT TRUST THEM OR THE INSURANCE COMPANY THEY DEAL WITH IT IS ONE BIG RACKET. That's my opinion from what I have witnessed first hand, and I'm sticking to it until New Planet takes responsibility to make things right. And for those that have got screwed by them as well please report them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU as I would like them to take responsibility for their incompetence. This is not slander , it is factual and I do not recommend ever doing business with these people, ever. Most unprofessional company I have ever seen operate.... David Spall.

they came on time delivered on time and nothing was broken, the sales girl was sweet the movers were fast, everything made it ok. they were about 500 less then the big boys and maybe 200 more than most little ones.. good job planet

My husband and I moved from CA to TX. We had most of our furniture still in storage (off-site location) and we lived in a small two-bedroom apartment on the third floor. My husband negotiated on how to give us the best estimates. Melissa, contact person of NPMS (New Planet Moving & Storage), was very helpful and courteous to us and provided us with good suggestions before signing the contract. On moving day two guys showed up who were fast and efficient in getting furniture packed and transported to the truck. The offsite location took another good three hours to pack up. Delivery in Texas was prompt with two guys unloading our belongings. The men were friendly and moved fast without damaging any items. We had more damage done to our own furniture moving the first time without using professional movers. This time we had no loss or damaged goods. We were pleased with the experience and feel that using this company made our move a lot less stressful. We would recommend these guys again. Thanks for a job well done. The Reynosos

I used these folks to move my family from UT to FL.. We have moved many times in my husband's career, so I like to think I pretty much know what to expect. I went online & got ALOT of phone calls from moving companies, and decided to see who "really did" have the best rate. These guys told me to get United to come look, and they would guarantee my price based on United's findings. So, I did.. I have 15,000 lbs worth of junk (who knew how quick a family could accumulate so much stuff?) and United's price almost made me have heart failure. I spoke with my girl at this place, and sent her the estimate United gave me, and she beat their price by over 1/3rd !! I was skeptical, at first, who wouldn't be, right ? So I went online & did some research, and got even more scared. After all, who WANTS to be a horror story, right ? But, with money tight, I and with the answers the girl gave me over the phone regarding the bad reviews I found, we decided to take the chance. I'm so glad we did! The movers that came out to our home in UT were nice, clean, friendly, and professional. They had us fully loaded & were pulling out within 5 hours, which is much faster than we were used to. We got the driver's cell phone number, and confirmed all of our FL contact info & planned on meeting again in about 10 days. We got a call from Joe a couple days into our trip, and he told us our goods ended up weighing pretty much exactly as what United had estimated, so our price would not change, and reminded us what our total was, and to pay it in cash or money order to the driver at delivery. We had not expected this call, as our girl had promised us a guaranteed rate, but were happy our price did not change. About 7 days later we got a call from our driver who told us his other customer on his truck he was delivering was unable to take his goods becuase something about his house falling through, and he wondered if we were available to take ours early ? He said we could wait for original date, but was available if we were.. Well, needless to say, we were VERY pleased, as everyone knows staying in a hotel is no fun if you're not on a vacation, especially with kids! So, our driver & the same crew arrived the next day in the afternoon, and delivery went just as great as loading did. The guys that took our beds & tables apart put them back together again, and we did not receive any major damages or lost items. So, all in all, I'm not understanding why all the negative comments, and although I'm not normally one to go online to give praise, I feel as though I owe it to anyone out there that might be thinking about using these guys that apparently not everyone has a bad experience. I would use them again, and will refer them to my friends & family.

we used then to move and were overcharged. after 4 months of waiting we finally got our settlement from the arbitrator 4 the whole amt. if u use this company b prepared to use the arbitrator. they provivlde nothing but lies n made up prices. dont use this company. they wont return phone calls n will up ur price. stay away. the good reviews r obviously written by their own staff. domt use these peopepl

Liars, Liars, Liars. Lauren is nothing but a Lying sales woman. They say they use their own employees and trucks (no sub-contracting). That was the first lie. The truck that showed up delivering to my new home was some trucking company out of Miami. The truck was loaded out of the NP&S Warehouse and was litterraly crammed in this trailer with someone elses belongings. It was so crammed it took these delivery guys 30+minutes to figure out how to even begin. Once unloaded, we found multiple, mulitiple crushed, broken and torn boxes with many damaged articles inside, not to mention the broken kitchen chair, end table, futon,and many item with cosmetic damage. Then, of course, they screwed me with the final cost $2,000 + more than estimated becuase of the 'weight" and of course they hold you ranson if you don't pay before they unload. Criminal and liars....ESPECIALY LAUREN.

unprofessional rude incompetent

I scheduled a long haul move from Los Angeles to Detroit and was initially quite pleased with the pricing and staff. On the day of the move I told the driver I was already at the end destination and to call with questions. These guys took it upon themselves to provide me with extra wrapping services which I never authorized. I got a call the next day from a neighbor stating that the movers left a 6 foot mirror in the elevator. I called an complained but was assured that the driver would return. 2 scheduled appointments came and went and they never showed. After calling to complain I spoke with Joe about the situation. At that time he informed me that my $1600 move was now $4200 because of weight overages and extra packing. EIGHT (8) days later I find this out. After disputing this he basically told ME I was a liar and should be happy that they did a nice job. Going on week 3 with no resolution and was last told he did not care if I complained as he has a good business. After filing a complaint with the BBB I noticed that over the last 36 months they have 40 complaints against them. Buyer Beware!

The guys got to my home on time and packed everything very well, they included tape and plastic wrapping for free which was cool, I was told by my mom (who's moved a ton of times) To go buy that stuff, and I didnt but they took care of that free for me. I moved from chicago to Las Vegas and along the way the truck got a flat tire. Like most people I thought oh well an hour or two delay no issue, but semi's to my surprise do take a day or two to get serviced depending on the area. Regaurdless they were great and still got my items to me about 2 days after I originally hoped for. After reading these reviews I think people are under some assumption that they are the only stuff on the truck- that is just not how moving works.That truck is going to a ton of places accomodating a ton of people, and althoughthey offered for me to pay for a guaranteed date, I really didn't want to and come to fiond out i really didnt need to either. I will recommend them from here on out if you want to ask me more info please feel free to emial me. Thank you new planet!

I recently moved my 3bwdroom home and my storage from Reno to Nashville tn I spoke with a really sweet and funny representative who took care of me the whole time throughout my move. I just received my. Delivery today and I am so happy although the delivery was one day after I originally thought it was 5dys before the major vanline would've taken: -) on top of that everything was on the same movingvan that picked up! Anyways I called to tell them how happy I was and thank the girl I talked to she wasn't in so I decided to write this review they really were awesome and very great rate too I will recommend them toan yone

I'm not going to get in to too much detail about what happened to me, but I will tell you to keep looking! If you are willing to take a chance on this company I feel for you and you're better off playing Russian roulette. They will lie through their teeth and low ball you so you agree for the move. After your personal belongings are picked up it all goes down hill and the same nice person that you were low balled by doesn't have time to talk to you or call you back when the price almost doubles value after pick up and weighing. The whole process was a circus. They never knew when my belongings would arrive and chose to play games on the phone with me when I would call and say that they didn't tell me certain promises and that they didn't know who I was. I had two pieces that I had issues with. One completely lost. The other of high value broken. Good thing I was insured with them. Their insurance policy(if their liable) will give you 60 cents for every pound. YES, 60 cents per lb. It gets better when after multiple phone calls and headaches later they somehow found themselves not liable for either one of my items and for lack of better words pretty much told me to screw off. I proceeded to have a phone conversation with the president of the company, who no surprise was the most unprofessional one of the pack and proceeded to tell me that I was wrong for being upset and that they weren't responsible for my items. I told him that I was going to fill reports on them, and his response was "Oh, you here me shaking!". He proceeded to tell me to go back to where I was from and to not call them again screaming and hanging up on me! I have never given a bad review or many good reviews on companies on a public site in my life but I will do so if it will have an effect on someone's decision to protect themselves! It would be a crime for my story to go untold to another individual looking to move their belongings. I'll close with this as I said in the beginning, keep looking and go with a well renowned company! It's well worth every penny and giving them the business. These are your personal belongings and are worth much more than 60 cents a pound!!! God knows that you won't even get that!

On my move they were absolutely horrible. I had a very narrow window for pickup and delivery. They assured me they could deliver within that window. They were very nice until they had picked up my shipment then their attitude changed. They then made it clear that they had 21 days to deliver regardless of what they had said when they were trying to convince me to use them. I do not believe they ever had any intention of meeting any commitments made prior to getting my business. They were quite rude and event yelled at my wife when she was trying to find out where our shipment was.

They delivered 18 days after pickup when they originally led me to believe they would be able to deliver it 4 or 5 days. Their cost estimate was also off by over $400.00. I ended up sleeping on the floor and eating out for over 2 weeks which added to the cost. I would never use this mover again and would caution anyone thinking of using them to only believe what is on paper. Do not believe anything said unless it is written in the contract

they do not do the over charging shi* like other co's in vegas do. and they are really nice and you can check on them to see that check the b b b and the dot sites to see for yourself

I came on here to write a review, and noticed this other one... wow i cannot believe that this is the same company i used. maybe it is another company slandering them? anyway i will continue my review :-) i had a visual estimate done by new planet moving and i had about 12,000lbs they gave me a great rate and it included packing as well. I called the other companies in town and i didnt find anyone who could do all the packing and loading in one single day. ( i have a 4 bedroom well i had) soi went with them they delivered everything to LA the next day with the same guys in order to reassemble everything., i didnt incurr any extra fees, so i have to say i am surprised at the other persons comments. anyways i will recommend them to everyone and will do all future business moves with them as well. thank you guys take care

I hired New Planet because 1. the cost 2. the personal attention, the warm and comforting demeanor my represntitive gave to me 3. the thorough explination of the process of my move (that calmed my nerves). My move went smoothly. I will recommend anyone who is moving cross-country to make New Planet Moving their #1 choice :)

Had a move scheduled with new planet. had an estimate done that was binding and then the movers said it wasnt accurate and my total price went up $732 dollars on my contract. they were nice enuf to discount me $200 dollars so in reality my bill was only $500 more then my binding contract. so i get to my destination and get settled for a week and call new planet to say whenever you have a truck im ready for my stuff. Started calling on a monday morning called two times a day and left messages with receptionist and on eli(dispatcher) voicemail. Friday afternoon finally recieve a call from eli i told him i was ready for my stuff and his response was you should have called earlier in the week cuz he had a truck that left friday morning. i informed him i had left numerous vms and messages and his response was oh yes i had been busy all week no time to return a call. he told me he was not sure when a new truck would be heading my way and i said whenever they had one would be fine. i told him my only concern was that with the labor day weekend coming up and that my bank acct was still in vegas that could i get a heads up when my stuff was inroute so i could get the certified funds required to pay my remaining bill. eli said no problem. Labor day weekend saturday at 2pm recieve call from driver saying he would be here sunday nite or monday morning. I informed him i had no way to get the certified funds could he take a card. after speaking too his boss which took till 9pm that evening that i would have to pay 600 in cash and they could run rest on the card. so when i spoke to eli monday he wanted to know y i had to use card(he had to come in to run it) i said wasnt called till sat after banks were closed. eli says it was the drivers responsibility to call. this seemed to anger the driver who then called eli and wanted to know y i wasnt called. So after all this i need the weight tags for the arbitrator. again call twice a day for a week and no response. finally speak with joe and he is livid that i posted a negative review and that him and the owner were going to get citysearch to pull my previous review and take me to court for slander or liable i dont know which and neither did he. he said and i quote rite now u are tickling the owner and i wont like it when i am tickled back. i know it was u whio wrote the review. i said of course you do i used my email address. i asked if i could get my weight slips and he encouraged me to delete my review and i could have them. i said no n if he could just have a secretary email them too me. he said ok and again suggested i remove my post or would hear from there lawyers in a couple days. it is my reccomendation that you steer clear from moving with this company
