I love her books, and they're based in Philadelphia, where I live, which is fun.

Another legal mystery writer. Worse than most of that ilk.

Lisa Scottoline has really matured as a writer. Her first few weren't so hot, but I stuck with them because the characters were so engaging. But recently, she's been putting out some top notch writing! Plots are well planned and well executed. In addition, most of them are based on dilemmas that face the legal community in the U.S. --- some of these have been used as supplementary textbooks on the issues. The prose is smart, and the plots are well timed. Truly an outstanding writer.

Lisa Scottoline has been hailed by critics across the country as "The Female John Grisham". I think she's better. Her brilliant sense of humor, unforgettable characters, and gripping plotlines are the perfect recipe for several great novels that you'll want to read over and over again. Plus, how could I give the woman who gave us Bennie Rosato any less than five stars? I recently read her lastest book (Courting Trouble - if any of you Scottoline fans haven't read it, please do so) and she hasn't even come close to losing her edge. Take care, everyone!

They call her the female John Grisham. John Grisham should be so lucky. With Lisa Scottoline, you don't just live her storylines, you also live her characters. You become them. Who would have ever thought that they could identify with "Pigeon Tony" - the old guy from the pigeon racing club. I don't know anything about pigeons, sure don't race 'em, but I became Pigeon Tony. nuf sed?

She is one of my favorite authors. I grew in and around Phildelphia. So many of the places in her stories I know very well. She is incredible in suspense and character development. I recommend her books to anyone Ken [email protected]
