    My name is Catherine Herbert and I don't know much about computers. At some point in the last month I believe my computer became infected with a virus. It was making my internet run very slow and I was unable to email my grandson away in Iraq. This being my only way to communicate with him I became very distressed. I wasn't confident enough to be able to attempt to fix it myself. Besides I hear hammers and computers don't go well together. :) I got in touch with the local geek squad and dropped my machine off. For $199.99 and three days of work they said they would have it up and running better than ever! This didn’t go down like the nice gentleman wearing black trousers had promised. 7 Business days later, I still had a broken computer and a quote for $449 to remove viruses, fix the hard drive and install antivirus software.     I took my computer to Geek Squad to have it upgraded. I was intending on giving it to my daughter for her school work and wanted it to be able to be used for that purpose. I needed a larger hard drive, more ram and a new video or graphics card. I told the young man when I brought it to them exactly what I needed. He asked if I had considered purchasing a new computer and started that dreaded sale pitch. I couldn’t even get a word in until his 5 minute presentation ended. I again told him what I wanted and nothing more when he told me that he was going to get me someone who could help me with that and he walked away in search of this person. I stood there for another 10-15 minutes waiting for his replacement to return. He never showed. I had to flag someone down and start the description process all over again with a new person.     What you are about to read is false and was written by a company called secure remote support to promote their business by "piggybacking" Geeks Squads Reviews. I have teenage twin boys who like the internet a bit too much. They MySpace and Facebook the hell out of their laptops. They shoot aliens and war craft like medieval mad men. They are perpetually plugged into these machines so much that I would swear the iPod appendage they have grown actually seems normal. So it was bound to happen that they would eventually need their notebooks cleaned up and swept for virus’. We took them to the Geek Squad and they told us it would be a few days and they would call us when they were done. A week later of the boys alerts me that he needs his computer for a paper he has to write.
