I had my dad pick up a bag of Evolve at the grocery store, because my Colt had eaten all of his Wellness dog food, and the only close-by pet store was closed. It was an emergency buy, but I'm glad we tried it. He's only been eating it for two weeks now, but I'm liking what I'm seeing. Colt has a problem with dry skin. Evolve is one of the few brands that his skin does well on. He also has trouble with certain brands giving him a 'fishy' smell, but I haven't had a problem with that using Evolve. Colt is a disc and agility dog. We don't compete, but we spend a lot of time and energy on our sports, so a good food is important. It's easy to tell by his performance if he's doing well on a food. If a brand is wrong for him, he'll tire out easily and put less effort into the game. Well, he's not having that problem on Evolve. He's doing great! I was unsure of the brand. It was lower protein than usual, grain-inclusive, it came from a grocery store, you get it. I was planning on getting him... Read more

This looks to be an ok food. A few border line ingredients such as rice flour and beet pulp. For the price of this food there are better that you can get.

I have been feeding this food to my dog for the past year. She has always been excited to eat, but the last bag I purchased was completley all grain, no kibble. The next bag was better, but now she walks away from the food when it's time to eat. She is not sick, she will eat, just not this food. I'm not sure what's going on at the distribution center, but I am not going to feed this to my dog anymore. She has also been throwing up and seems less energetic. She is only a 20 month old golden. I am going to switch her to Fromm. She loves it! Eats it up and doesn't walk away from the bowl.

I would say that this is just an average food. My golden has had more loose stools then regular ones, but is thrilled to eat it (most days). I would also say her coat is shiney but to me is a little greasey. I am having some trouble keeping her weight up with it as well. I have to feed her a decent amount to keep her where she should be. Ingredients are pretty good with the exception of using the whole meat.

I have been feeding my dog Evolve since he was a puppy. His coat is shiny and fluffy.I am actually feeding him less because of the ingrediants. It is great food. I wouldn't feed my dog anything else

I had to feed my dog twice the amount to maintain her weight and also I don't like that it has poor protein quality

I have 9 dogs/pups and all of them on Evolve. It reduces shedding, makes the coat shinny and healthy, poo less smell and most important of all they like it.

I've been feeding Evolve to my pack of 5 dogs for the past two months, and am pleasently surprised by the results. I've had bad luck with holistic foods, but this one is different! I'm also extremely nitpicky regarding the little details and normally don't stay with a food for more than one bag. But I truly can't complain about Evolve. Teeth are clean, coats are glossy (not greasy?, fluffy, and thick. Energy level is great, even for my epileptic Beagle who zones out on some diets. I had a bitch who had whelped a litter and had a hard time keeping on weight after the pups were weaned, but she filled out quickly and has such a thick coat I am truly amazed. Also very pleased with the price. I can purchase the 40lb Breeder bag for $34 or under, which is a nice break on my tight budget. Great food, I highly recommend it!

1st ingrediant is lamb, not lamb meat or Lamb meal, the whole lamb, 70% water plus all the other junk. Read the label!!

My dog was unable to keep many foods down but this has been wonderful! Her coat is shiny and healthy, she's a great weight, and she loves the food. She goes to the bathroom less often than on other foods and we can feed less volume and maintain her weight. We just adopted a 2nd dog and quickly switched him to it as well, and after 2 weeks he already is doing so well on it! Highly recommend!

I switched from blue buffalo to evolve because my dogs seemed picky with it. My huskey and lab/border collie mix love the evolve and gobble up all their food!!! I feed them the same amt as the blue buff. and they have neither gained or lost wgt. their stool frequency and consistency have not changed either.

While this food has an impressive list of ingredients, my dogs coats have become incredibly dry while eating this food. Also, I am having to feed twice the amount to maintain their weight.

Has great ingredients, and the price is reasonable for its quality. My dog loves it too.
