MTA (Baltimore, Maryland)

The listing is about the trolley system, don't you know? Well for my rating of the trolley, it is okay because of how expansive the system is, and how clean the trains are. Their situation here is that they are in close proximity to the city and even to some rural-like areas. I have not seen much of it, but if it get to ride it more, I would feel that it is a four star transit system- the flaw here is the parking, but that is negligible.

I couldnt agree more with Bebe's comment. The only thing that you can count on from the MTA is inconsistency and rudeness. I can recall an instance when the bus driver took too long on her break making her very late on her route. When I asked if another bus was coming she had nerve to say I was making her late! Then another time, two busses on the same line passed me by as I stood under the bus stop sign. Thank goodness a kind gentleman saw what happened and helped me catch up to the bus in his truck. I cannot stand the MTA, but being unable to drive, I am stuck with it. Of course, those who can do something about it never experience these situations and therefore, just do not care.

Baltimore's MTA has to rank with one of the worse mass transit systems in America. It's a constant game of guessing when your bus will come and if the bus driver will even stop to pick you up. The coaches are as old as dirt, but that does not stop the MTA from putting them on the road. Undue preference is given to those people going to baseball or football games. How do I know? An all call went out to the bus drivers telling them that the best buses would be cleaned up for a football game and, as far as the other drivers were concerned, it was catch as catch can when it came to the other coaches. When asked about it at a transportation forum, Flanagan, Maryland Transportation Director gave only a very flippant answer about everyone deserving a safe and clean bus to ride.
