Adrian Smith (guitar for Iron Maiden)

Adrian is my biggest influence,before toni iommi(black sabbath) and wolf hoffman(accept).He may not be the most technical guitarist but he always had his own style.Turn on the first seven maiden albums and if you're a fan of them, it's easy to say who's playing solo.Adrian has a great sence of melody,that i always liked.This is to me the most difficult thing as a guitarist,but he always has.I frequently see guitarists who have a great technical abbility,but they fal appart when it comes to a melodic flavour.Listen to the somewhere in time album and you will find a master in melody and technique.Outstanding teamwork with Dave over the years.Great solo's in Wasted years,Stranger in a strange land,Two minutes to midnight,Omega(bruce dickinson),the evil that man do and my al time favorite The Prisoner.....etc.Thanks for al you have done over the years.Grtz Bert Bockx

Adrian Smith is among the most creative and versatile(prog metal,heavy metal,bluez,fusion,hard rock and ...) guitrusts of rock.
His ability to write great songs is really amazing.He act very deliberatly and knows where to put certain harmonies in its right place.

Adrian Smith to me is the better guitarist in Iron Maiden. His guitar playing/solos can best be described as watching H play soccer, Adrian can have the ball and you never know what his next move will be and his guitar solos are the same way. I am an Adrian freak!!!!! Long live Maiden!!!!!
