04/13/2006 | A little sidenote here: Rolf Benirsckhe, who made the game winning field goal, went to college in my hometown at UC Davis. Had I been alive then, I probably would have pulled for San Diego. The game never seemed like it would end, but it finally did. Kellen Winslow having to be helped off the field is the lasting image of this game.

02/11/2005 | This game had it all: utter despair, wildly joyous excitement, and gut-wrenching tension -- played out in a combination of 'gimme' field goals that were missed or blocked, momentum swings, exhausted players, interceptions and fumbles on the same play, and the greatest desperation play I have ever seen in any professional sport executed flawlessly -- the hook and lateral that involved Don Strock, Duriel Harris, Tony Nathan and a stunned San Diego Chargers defense. I can still remember watching this game as a 15-year old like it was yesterday!

01/19/2005 | Wow. Remember Kellen Winslow getting helped off the field? Remember the field goals? Remember the hook-and-ladder? Hands-down the greatest football game I've ever seen. (But it doesn't top MIRACLE ON ICE!)
