Bugs Bunny just seems like the very definition of cartoon, and this show remains good today.

A television program put together from theatrical release classics mostly from the 1940's until the 1960's with some newly drawn interludes to set up the individual cartoons. Good show. Would still be entertaining today.

You could stop me from watching if you tried.

This was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid.

I like Bugs Bunny and the looney tune pals for one main reason.  It is the classic good vs evil that simply doesnt exsist anymore, now we just have lesser evil vs evil.  Bugs had morals, integrity, he never let anyone get the best of him and the "violence" he used amounted to using his opponents weakness in his favor.  I wish kids were still weaned this sort of Satuday morning cartoon as opposed to the likes of the newer "junk" thats spews out now.   AHHHHH! Those were the days.

Modern classic animation aside (e.g. "The Simpson"), cartoons didn't get any better than "The Bugs Bunny Show" in its various formats. While I normally didn't care as much for Bugs himself (I preferred the misfits like Daffy, Yosemite Sam, and the like), there is no disputing the art, science and creativity that went into these productions. As some prior reviewers have noted, these animated shorts were originally developed with adult audiences in mind (for movie theatres) yet still appealed to the younger viewer (as attested by millions of Americans). The characters have also served as a unifying experience among multiple generations, something that I'm afraid has now been lost since I don't think that Looney Tunes are now shown on Saturday mornings. Also, as others have noted, these shorts introduced many children to classical music and operatic themes. The Wagner inspired "What's Opera, Doc?" (aka "Kill The Wabbit") is considered the greatest cartoon in history.

I loved this show so much! Why can't Saturday mornings be beter than they are today? The kids today don't know what thy're missing! Seventies Saturday Mornings Rocked!!!

One of my 5 favorite cartoons as a kid. Plenty of variety with other cartoon characters, especially Elmer Fudd!.....Say,"Heeerry!! Whats' Up! Doc"

Loved this one, always made me laugh, and it didn't really matter who the other person was. If Bugs was in it, you knew it was good.

Excellent, but only from the golden age late '40's through the '50's. Funny (and mature - Mel Blanc knew kids weren't stupid) it also introduced a couple of generations of kids to classical music, opera and classic literary themes in a way that was almost subversive. However, the franchise was badly milked and was the first to kowtow to the anal, politcally correct types who felt cartoon violence was the sword that would kill America.

please bring this cartoon back to cartoon network television

All of the better cartoons have all been removed from television. I use to sit with my brothers for atleast four hours every saturday. I wish I could rent or buy some of those older classics like Heckle and Jeckle,mighty mouse,Johnny Quest just to name a few.

I remember growing up watching the Bugs Bunny Show. I still enjoy seeing these cartoons on cartoon network. I especially like the classic ones from the 40s and 50s. Warner Brothers, Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc, and all the others who made these cartoons had a lot of talent for coming up with characters who are still just as famous today.When I think of some of the funniest cartoons I have seen or some of the most memorable I always can think of The warner brother cartoons. from What's Opera Doc? to Michigan J. Frog. What I love about the Bugs Bunny cartoon. along with all of the other characters I still like them as an adult.I imagine anyone who has seen enough of these cartoons can think of one of their personal favorites.

This is a great show-not bad for someone whos been around for more than 50 years and still going strong.

It's a crying shame it aint on as much anymore

I love to watch Looney Toons but Cartoon Network took it off for no good reason but to put on mindless shows like powerpuff girls.

Always! I wish ABC would put this back on Saturday mornings again, for a change of pace. Saturday morning cartoon-watching was so worthwhile in the 1980s and earlier. This was superior TV for all ages, compared to some of the stupid stuff they have now.

I can never say no to a good classic. I hate Bugs Bunny, but hey, it WAS good.

i like these cartoons more now that im older than i ever did when i was a kid. there is a few that are kind of cool. i always liked if it was bugs and elmer fudd paired

These cartoons are great because they aren't just made for kids. Ever watch an old bugs bunny cartoon, and realize some of that gibberish from back then is really a funny remark made for older people... almost a political cartoon.

We all could sure use some of Bug's ingenuity. The guy was a god...or was Elmer that much of an idiot?

One of my favourites as a kid, I am still charmed by these cartoons. I particularly enjoy the episodes with operatic themes.

Probably the best loved cartoon character out side of the Disney studios. The voice work by Mel Blanc is great and the writing was funnier then most cartoons at the time.

That Wascally Wabbit is my favorite cartoon. He is the original all time smart ass! You gotta love him. The best.

Too many good ones to even begin to discuss. This is the best cartoon show ever.

Bugs cartoons are simply more grown up. The gags are taken from a time when stand up comedy was more then just bathroom wall jokes. I went into a video store about a year ago and they had banned the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner movie because it was too violent for children. Yeah sure, buddy ... but it's okay to rot peoples' minds with all that Disney garbage. Qu'est-ce qui c'est, Monsieur le Physician?

The master of all animation. This show will never grow old, and will always remain a classic. Kids today don't know what they're missing if they spend all their time watching PowerPuff Girls and DragonBall Z. Nothing will replace the slapstick humor and smooth animation. Just watching the show with the 24 framerate really makes you appreciate the work put into this.

These old WWII area cartoons were not intended for children, but were shown at the movie theaters. I grew up watching these on tv and loved them very much. Crazy characers, lots of violence, and very few humans.

How could you not like this show? it is a great show! I love it lots! I still watch it today! That's how great a show it is!

The Big Daddy of the 7/8 minute format. Looney Tunes are the best.

A classic and my favorite as a kid. I certainly hope that it's around for my kids to watch.

Great show but to bad it sucks now

even though this show is an oldie, it still airs on cartoon network. i wasn't born when it first started,(i'm a kid) so now i watch it on Toon Heads!!! luv it it's funny!

I loved watching Bugs Bunny and the whole bunch of cartoons when I was younger. I still watch Bugs Bunny when there is nothing to do. I am 41 and love it. Most of the time I am watching old Black & white tv shows but the best animated cartoon that I have ever seen is Bugs Bunny. Mel Blanc I loved all of your cartoon voices.

Amazing cartoon; the best ever!

The prime 80's Saturday Morning Cartoon show for me--yeah, it gets repetitive, they use the same jokes over and over, but it's a cartoon, this was for children, and when I was a child, I absolutely loved it.

This still is better than any Saturday morning cartoon since. Have you ever flipped through the channels on a Saturday morning lately? What is up with all these horrible cartoons? It makes me glad I was little when I was. If I had to grow up with the cartoons of today, I would be as crazy as the kids are today also.

Bugs has a little something for young and old alike. I wish I could get the best of bad situations like he does.
