I took my 2 golden retrievers in and found the place very useful. They had all I needed to get the dogs cleaned up, and were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely use them again.

My dog gets groomed at Dirty Dog religiously, about every three weeks. He used to be the neurotic type of dog who needs special attention and handling. The staff and groomer who handles my pooch do a fantastic job! He's really calmed down over the last year. My boy also looks and smells great and I can sense he loves going. I will never have him groomed anywhere else! I understand that you can't make everyone happy all the time, but for me and my boy, Dirty Dog always delivers. I am about the pickiest person on the planet and I am completely recommending Dirty Dog to anyone who is looking for a great bunch of people who do it right!

Mean people I heard the groomer choked out a dog and and just plain mean. This is just what I have heard so beware if your dog is a little antsy be prepared for it to be man handled.

I have tried other groomers in town and was disappointed in the grooming, not mention the awful customer service! Dirty Dog is definitely there for the dogs! Their South 1st location was very pleasant, the staff was very welcoming, and I loved the hair cut! My dog was not afraid when I picked her up and this was the first time she has ever gotten her nails clipped by anyone but the vet! They Rock! Tara really knew her stuff, and my dog seemed to really like her. I was also very impressed that I received a paper telling me everything they found on my baby while they had her! I was not aware of a little bump they found on her and was very thankful they spotted it. Talk about going the extra mile! I would highly recommend them!

Everyone who wrote reviews complaining about the space being reduced at their north one, that's not true, if you ask any of the employees there, which I did, they'll tell you that they put a wall up to separate selfserve from the grooming side so they could have equal room on each side also to expand the room for the dogs they groom. As for the rodent feces yes i've seen on the ground at the south one and also got home with many flea bites, so yes they may have a pest problem, but i saw that they got one of electronic repellers to control their pest problem, i used one kind of pricey but very good it got ride of my pest problems. Thier william cannon one is very small and has strange hours, but its pretty cute, the tubs are much smaller than the ones at the other stores too, maybe cuz it too small to fit those big tubs... my favorite is the south one even though william cannon is closer because the people are very sweet there and welcoming and they have somewhat regular hours so i know... Wow, I have just found a gem! This place is awesome! Dirty Dog is a self serve dog wash or I can get him groomed there by them. I didn't know that a self serve place existed. It's great! They have everything I need, shampoo, hair dryers, towels, etc... oh and big tubs, much better than my bath tub! I have had him groomed there twice and he came out perfect! Super cute and everyone there seemed genuinely sweet and caring to him! Love, love love it!

Well, I love where I work and I love the people that I work with, so I have to defend my place of employement... First off, I find Kimche's statements way out of line and I find it unbelieveable that someone could be so RUDE. I am so appauled! I know that you can't always make everyone happy all the time, but Kimche's comments are clearly written by either someone who wanted something for free and couldn't get it, or a former employee who is sitting at home uphappy with their lives. Secondly, we do have flea and tick shampoo for dogs, its made by Biogroom...ask employee to look at it, we have it! We order it from PetEdge. Look it up. Dishsoap can be used as an alternative to flea control, many shops use it! We do not charge self-serve customers to use dishsoap! Are you kidding me?? Third, I bring my own dogs to work with me and I would not be bringing them if we had an rodent problem Fourth of all, I'm going to touch on our prices. Its called inflation, its happening everywhere. We ar... Read more

We used to love Dirty Dog but hadn't been for about a year. What a difference! The new arrangement is so cramped. No stands for brushing the dogs. We had to ask for a tie down for the tub. We drove about 20 miles to go there but won't make the trip again.

I have taken my Wheaton to Dirty Dog several times to bathe her myself. It was so easy! They have everything there you need. my dog couldn't jump out of the tub and I didn't have to break my back bending over the shower! Recently she needed a full service groom so we took her there for a haircut. She looked great! They were so helpful and nice. I really felt like they took care of her while she was there. The groomer saw a dry spot and pointed it out to me and recommended some spray and told me where to get it! Everyone was very nice and helpful- I HIGHLY recommend it!

Although I think Dirty Dog has done a great job grooming, I have been very dissappointed with their customer service. They tend to take every opprotunity to nickle and dime you for extra service. They even have argued with me regarding specific instructions given to them at drop off. Their self service facilities are great but be prepared for less than sunny and smiling service if you have them do your grooming for you. They love to argue with their customers.

With the closing of grooming at Bark & Purr, we decided to use Dirty Dog, which we've used often for self washing. What a mistake!! For $65, our English Springer Spaniel has two shared to the skin areas on this next, both about 1 1/2 inches by 1 and 1/2 inches. This wasn't mentioned to me when I picked up the dog and it wasn't noticeable until I felt his chest and noticed the shaving. We've never had this experience and we've used several grooming services in Austin. We won't be back to Dirty Dog again for any service, including self washing.

My dog used to hate getting baths and after taking her to the Dirty Dog we do not have the struggle we used to have. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and always remembers us, and my dog leaves looking sharp and smelling great!

After many failed attempts to bathe my rather large lab in my small apartment bathtub, I took her to the Dirty Dog. What a genius concept! They provide everything, so I never have to worry about packing everything up. They have aprons, so I don't get wetter than my dog, and everything is sooooo easy. Plus, the prices are very affordable, and well worth it! Take your dog here. They also have grooming services if you have a furry dog or just don't want to do the dirty work yourself.
