Pleasant smell but it's too soft! It melts away much too quickly. After a few days in the bath, it's all gooey and misshapen. Just Like the guy I envision in my mind, I want it to stay hard.

I see I'm not the only one who is unhappy with the hollowed out bar of Dial at the same price. The shape is unhandy as it doesn't stay on the sink soap holder--always slipping in the sink and reminding me of the changes. Convenience is just one of the issues, the other being ethics. Are we who use Dial and liked it foolish enough to buy the deception? I wonder what ingredients changed. There is another good bath soap out there, and I'll find it.

I have been a Dial bar soap user for more than two decades. It has been a good, balanced soap, but the latest tactic of reducing the size and shape of the bar, while still charging the same amount is tacky and dishonest, to say the least. Not a good way to treat customers. Everyone knows that prices for raw materials and logistics have risen, so the more honorable way to address this increase is to proportionately increase the price of the product--not to deliver less product for the same price. Customers can handle modest increases in price, but not reduiced quality or quantity. So good bye, Dial. Maybe you can offset some of those production costs by firing whomever perpetrated this deception upon your customers. Mary in California

...just like many of the others posted. The reformulation in the product and the size sucks. I too emailed and complained. I would rather have the same size as the old bars so I would not have to replace the bar so often. This company sucks too. I am on a mission to find a new soap once my supply runs out. Sad they take a great product and manipulate it for the dollar. WHAT IGNARAMOUSES!

I always considered Dial a plain soap which I liked. I didn't want a residue or lingering smell from the soap. It always left me with slightly dry skin but it never bothered me until I got older. I used this for the last thirty-two years until last month. I read up on soaps and learned about the push to replace bars with body wash and that basically two companies own all the brands at the big stores. After reading that the added foaming agents dry the skin. I tried Dalan Olive Oil Soap (www.tulumba.com) that's been made over 100 years. Way better. I'm finding out there are lots of choices that aren't at the local stores. Like SPEICK (www.shoeboxshaveshop.com/speickbathbar.html). I won't go back to Dial.

This is one of the biggest rip offs around. Packaging is the same but with half the soap. When they cut the center of the soap the edges wear out real fast so its a double wammy. Less soap and it disappears twice as fast. Don't bother to email them as you only get a lame excuse. Email them a second time and no response at all. Better off to find another product.

CONSUMER RIP OFF!! Been using Dial bar soap for at least 50 yrs now, maybe more and can't believe how they screw the consumer. Look at the curves and cuts they made on the bar, can't even call it a bar anymore, guessing it is at least 1/3 the quantity as the original bar and because they made it so thin it wears out quicker and only lasts a third of the time. This isn't inflation but a outright rip off. They cut back on material and it wears out twice as fast, a double whammy if ever there was one.

Dial is way too harsh and has an extremely strong scent that I think does not smell good at all! It's rather clinical and it is anti-bacterial. I oppose the use of anti-bacterial products (especially all over your body like a bar of soap) because it decreases your natural immunity.

This is an awesome deodorant soap. I like using the spring water version because the scent is light yet very good. This soap is great in every way. It leaves you feeling very clean and it does not leave you feeling dry at all. My only recent complaint however would be their recent kick in the ass to its own customers. They reduced the bar from 4.5 oz. to 4.0 oz. in that they reduced the bottom of the center of the bar and now makes it look a little curved. While I still stand by this product, these marketers can just so screw themselves because they clearly dont give a damn about their customers or straight out think we're too stupid to notice this rip off. Anyway, I usually buy the 8-pack at Walmart for about $3.80 give or take a couple cents. With daily showers the bar does last about a week and does a good job and other than dial's sneaky kick in the ass to its customers..it is a great soap.

I have been using Dial soap for some years now. This is a very good anti-bacterial soap. I make sure that I wash my hands with Dial soap when I return from any where outdoors. Gives me the comfort and sense of security from infections.

Has anyone used the Dial Springwater liquid hand soap?    I have been noticing that all of my handtowels have been bleached out where people dry thier hands after washing.  Most of my hand towels are wrecked.  Please let me know if anyone has encountered a similar problem.

I have been using dial soap for as long as I can remember. I recently am having a problem with their new size. Instead of gougeing out the centers of the bar to reduce the weight, leave it alone and raise the price. I know my body hasn't changed in size, but it sure reduces how many washes I get from the new bars. All these companies must think everybody are stupid. Leave everything alone, because I think people would much rather pay a few cents more instead of feeling like they been ripped off. This is as bad as the Klondike Bar. I guess the blade that cuts the ice cream must have gained in size.

Dial for Men Bar Soap is great! It does just what it says..cleans without drying skin. Bar now has ridges which make it easier to hold. Nice to have soap product geared for Men.

You have got to try the White Tea and Vitamin E. Smells good can be over powering if left alone in a closed closet. However, it cleans dirt runs off. Not too drying (feet) you will need to lotion afterwards.

I bought dial for men.....3-pack at wal-mart for 1.50, it sucks. Bar is 1/3 gone after using it once a day for not even a week. Doesn't keep me smelling good, and after a couple hours you can't even tell that I showered. I bought it bc I figured it's supposed to be the "manly version" and be specialized to us guys, but it didn't do anything. I'm sticking to irish spring.

There are far better brands, in my opinion. The smell is okay, but doesn't last very long. Regardless of my skin allergy to it (which I did not have a few years back), I never liked this brand when compared to others.

Dial must have improved their formula because it used to make my skin itchy in the winter, but I tried it again recentlyand it is much better. Doesn't irritate my skin and the lavender and oatmeal has a nice smell. Rinses clean and feels fresh afterwards.

A While back i bought the gold dial due to the wonderful scent it gives out, i used it for my 2 boys who are constantly active and gets dirty to the max, anyways this dial gold, is great for dirty boys, it gets there muddy feet clean !! i cant use Dial... it makes me feel tacky and drying to me, but i get the 3 pack bar gold for my two boys, if the gold bar isnt in a store and there is other dials soaps, i wont get it, i tried the white dial on my boys but it didnt clean as well as the Gold bar. P.S. But one thing also i love of dial is there original gold liquid hand soap,(you know the clear gold color liquid soap??) that i can use for my body!! That is GREAT!!!!!!and i also love there scented liquid hand soaps, the tropical scented and the fruity scented ones, those did great as a body wash!!!!! Try the liquid family size hand washes, they did well for my sensitive skin body... , great for your entire body!!! I highly recommend those liquid hand soaps for taking a shower with inste... As good a deodorant soap as there is. I've used it since I was a kid. Lathers and rinses well. My other favorites are Safeguard and Lever 2000 Antibacterial.

Dial soap is the only soap I use, and don't I wish everybody did. It's the only soap that stands up to the job I do every day. You might think a bar of soap is just a bar of soap, and yet there is a difference. I don't know what it is, I'm no chemist or whatever it takes to make soap. I only know that it works. And that's enough.

I've used DIAL antibacterial bar soap for a long time. I've never had any issues with it. To me, soap is soap. I didn't shop around much for soap originally: it was a name brand and cheap. I don't care what color soap is, as long as I feel clean after using it. That's what matters. The fragrance is fine. It's not too strong or perfumy.

Dial is OK. The smell is unpleasantly pungent, and the color is boring. Nevertheless, it still cleans good but not as good as other soaps.

I have been using DIAL since I was a little girl and it is the best soap I have ever tried. It leaves you feeling clean all day long. I have tried other soaps but none of them ever kept me as clean throughout the day like DIAL. Not to mention the fact that it is antibacterial that is very important, because it gets rid of the bacteria on and inside your body.

Dial's scent is so overpowering, it makes me feel nauseous. I also dislike its slippery feel and garish orange color. I like a soap that doesn't draw attention to itself, and Dial is definitely not that soap!

For my money and based on my experience, Dial is the best deodorant soap on the market today. It has a really nice clean scent, is long lasting and does exactly what it claims - cleans and deodorizes. And, while it doesn't really moisturize, it is still pretty easy on my skin even in the dry winter months. I've tried a few other bath soaps, but I always go back to Dial.
