Friendly and professional service. The food mirrored what was shown on the website. The taste was superb. And to wrap everything together, the atmosphere was so elegant and relaxing. The decor of the resturant was gorgeous and the music set the scene. I was very impressed as a first time visit experience. This is definitely some place I will not only return, but will refer others to as well.

Ate here last Friday night. Restaurant wasn't too busy. Live music was nice. Our party of four ordered 2 appetizers, fried green tomatoes and fried okra. Tomatoes were excellent. fresh, juicy tomatoes in light, crispy breading. Okra was okay... used the same coating as the catfish, which I didn't dig. Other items were a big disappointment. Fried chicken was very dry. Candied yams were also dry, and the cheese in the mac and cheese had separated, making the dish very oily. Catfish was okay, but nothing spectacular. The service was horrendous. Our waitress basically refused to so much as cr- ack a smile the entire time we were there. We asked for recommendations as to entrees to order. Her response? "You want chicken, order chicken. You want fish, order fish." One person asked how the green beans were prepared, only to be given a rude stare and a "withOUT meat." Other servers seemed to be similar attitude. The sitdown restaurants Downtown and in Lees Summit are beautif... Read more

It?s hard to imagine spending millions of dollars to open a restaurant in this location and not pay attention to the concert schedule of the largest attraction in KC. (Sprint Center) We were on our way to a concert and decided to try this place. I made a 6:15 reservation and arrived at 6:10, only to be told it would be a 20 minute wait. I looked around and more than half of the place was empty. I was told that the kitchen was overwhelmed. After standing there very frustrated the place began to fill up. The manager, whom was very nice began to wait tables. She had the hostess seat us and serve us. I can not say enough for the staff and how nice they all were in a bad situation. There were only 3 servers for a large restaurant. On a concert night?????? Anyway, the entire restaurant was angry to say the least. Clearly orders were taking a very long time to arrive and there was a restaurant full of people waiting to be seated. Many of those people left and went to other places... Read more

The service was lousy to say the least, we had the manager at our table three 3 times, me and two of my friends were there pretty close to 3 hours., service was extremely slow, one person at our table did not get their food until 30 minutes after we received ours, we tried to wait but then our food got cold. The manager came back and again she apologized again, and said she would take care of us (I was thinking what she meant by take care she would "comp"our meals), at the same time the manger was at our table Shaneka (the Server) showed up with Friend S meal, Friend C and I were finished with our meal by that time. Shaneka (the server)went on and on and on about how sorry she was and that she just started that job last week and she was single mother, and how it was not her fault but she would take responsibility and in the same breath, she would say it was not her fault!!! Friend S only took a couple of bites and was ready to go. Once we got the bill I was taken back, not only did ... Read more

Last year in 2007 I went to visit my niece in Shawnee Ks. she kept talking about Peach Tree. Before I left she took me .OH MY GOD. I can still taste the fried catfish and bake chicken.I'm from Texas they really need to franchise and move to Dallas Tx. The seasoning was just right not to much just right. I'm going back this summer in 2008 and that will be the first place I request

What a dining experience! Fantastic soulfood in a little more upscale atmosphere. Dinner starts with fresh rolls and sweet potato cornbread muffins. My baby back ribs truly fell off the bone and were nicely glazed with a zesty sauce. The baked mac & cheese was thick and flavorful, not too saucy, and the green beans were better than homemade. Menu indicated the Salmon croquettes included bell pepper, but it was not detectable. They were perfectly spiced and tasted lightly fried. Others at the table were fully pleased with fried catfish, fried chicken, black eyed peas and greens. I went on a Saturday evening before 8, enjoyed no wait for a table for four and a live jazz trio playing loud enough to be heard, but mellow enough to be a relaxing accompaniment to conversation with our meal. Service was very friendly and approachable. I will most definitely return here!
