Visited Baltimore from Miami & went to Kooper's Tavern on a rainy Saturday afternoon...wasn't too crowded but there was a nice mix of locals & tourists drinking, grabbing a bite & watching college football. The bartender, Nicole, couldn't have been nicer! Manager Jeff was also great, as was the whole staff! Had THE BEST bloody mary I've ever had, nice & spicy! Also Nicole suggested their Kooper's Yellow Tail Ale which was a great light beer. I had the sliders, which were tasty but it's only 3 of them & they were very small. All in all though I had a great time here & I'll definitely be going back whenever I'm in the Fells Point area.

My girlfriend and I slipped in here on a Friday night after being somewhat turned off by the crowd at a feline-named place down the street. We figured a place with a dog on the sign had to be at least decent. We got a spot for two right at the bar amidst a pretty mixed crowd - 20-40 somethings out for dinner or just starting their night out. The bartender couldn't have been nicer and more attentive despite being pretty busy with a full bar and the full tables near the bar. She knew her beers and recommended a couple of new ones for us. Off the menu, but highly recommended is Kooper's pesto and crab pizza. It was awesome! The crust was thin and crispy, the amount of crab was generous, and the balance of the pesto with the crab and cheese was perfect. We made very quick work of the the good-sized pie. The burgers we saw going to other tables looked great, and there's a late night menu posted right over the bar for folks looking to get some good pub grub after 11PM. If you're in... Read more

I was a little dissapointed with Koopers only because I had heard such good things about it. The food that I had was good, but not great (Fajitas). It was fresh though and the place was clean. Service was good. I was there for lunch and it wasn't that crowded but it seemed like a nice place to hang out for a beer. I would go there again to see how some of the other food is. I may have just gotten something that wasn't to my personal liking but I would definitely go back to try something else.

What a great little tavern, they have tasty food and a very nice wine list. The owner was working the day we were in the restauarant and he was very excited about wine and made some very nice recomondations. This is a restaurant where you can mix and mingle with the visitors and locals of Baltimore.

My family has just moved back to maryland. And Koopers which was once Thames Tavern is a family oriented restaurant. The food and service were great. And I WILL recommend Kooper to my friends and colleagues.

The Scene Kooper's looks skinny from the outside, but the long bar starts at the front door and stretches back to the main dining area. TVs adorn the corner walls, but don't miss the view of Baltimore Harbor. There's a second, more refined-looking bar upstairs that folks often overlook. Weekends are busy, and both college students and locals show up for weekly events like Monday Night Football. The Draw The selection is neither spectacular nor lacking. Draft selections rotate periodically; the decent tap list may include Blue Moon, Killians, Miller Lite, Yuengling (a Baltimore staple) and DeGroen's. The microbrew selection is extensive. Look for other bottled fun like Mike's Hard Lemonade. Kooper's has a full menu of good burgers, steaks and seafood. The Sunday brunch is definitely worth checking out.

What a wonderful tavern/pub!! Great atmosphere...very cozy. And the best Cider Jack beer...I could have drank all night!! I'm not a huge beer fan but that blend could make one of me!! Wonderful food...especially great bar fries!!
