Bush credit though--- he promised to "bring Republicans and Democrats together" when elected President. He must be commended- he brought Republicans and one Democrat together to change America. After 2004, there might just not be any deep South Democrats that are conservative enough to stand behind Bush's policies. Bush's re-election won't be a cakewalk by far and away. It won't be a 49 state sweep, still, I predict he will win re-election. Incumbency is a powerful advantage and Bush is maximizing his resources all he can, even if it means pushing the truth concerning his record on a variety of fronts. Money is also a big factor; Bush has about 150 million dollars, plenty of which he will use in the Spring to define his Democratic opponent who will be broke and unable to respond. But the time Bush is done with John Kerry or whoever comes out of the primaries, he will be seen as an card carrying ACLU liberal in the tradition of Mike Dukakis, Walter Mondale and George McGovern.
