 | EschewObfuscation (71) 09/30/2004 | A legitimate, if overly sarcastic, point of discussion. We have a health care problem in the US but it isn't too many wealthy Americans with coverage and it isn't too many federal dollars being siphoned off to private health insurers, but those words are a call to arms for the let's socialize healthcare crowd. The democrat solution is still Hillary-Care and 38% of Americans are in favor of it. The republican solution is let the competitive market keep costs down and allow the participants to earn a reasonable profit for their risk and 42-43% of Americans favor that. Unless one party or another crystallizes the benefit of their solution to another 10-15% of Americans, life will go on as it is today. What else might change that? Obfuscating and mocking your opponent's plan gets us nowhere.
