Great service, price, selection, and professional demeanor. Sung is patient, courteous and always on time. I usually take a number of frames with me when I visit and I'm always satisfied. Sung is both an artist and a true craftsman. Most recently I got my own and my wife's frames adjusted, new lenses and also a frame altered. All in less than an hour. He always takes the time to deal with a customer in his store. I can't recommend him highly enough. PS: One always wonders when a merchant only gets the highest possible ratings. With Sung, that's all one can do.

Eyetailor offers the highest quality service of any optician I've ever used. Sung is incredibly professional providing excellent work at a very fair price. My frames have always been ready before he promised them and he stays open late so you can pick them up after work. He also carries an extraordinary range of frames in the store. I couldn't recommend him more highly. Six stars!

I LOVE Eyetailor. Sung Kim was able to fix a problem that no eye doctor or technician could fix. My lashes touched the lenses of some of my frames. One frame in particular was expensive and useless because of this problem. Sung fixed the problem by installing small silicone nosepads professionally and at a reasonable cost. He has adjusted multiple frames at no cost, even though I've not yet purchased frames or lenses from him. He also let me purchase some hip frame cases that other places would have required a frame purchase first. Very professional and kind--the best! I intend to purchase all my future lenses from Sung Kim.

Awesome Job! I expected Quality and you delivered....precise and very very fast. Finally I have found THE optician in this city. Thank you for the excellent workmanship on my new glasses. I could not be happier, and could not recommend you more highly.

I collect vintage frames and could not find anyone capable of putting my prescription lenses into these dainty, classic 1940s frames which I adore! I was heartbroken thinking I could never wear them. I couldn't even get anyone to attempt the job ("We don't have a drill", or any other number of excuses as the frames are very unique and require custom work).I went everywhere - you name it, I went there. No one had the tools to precisely cut the lenses the way they needed to be cut to fit these classic beauties. Until I found Eyetailor. Mr. Kim fixed and cleaned these frames I brought in and managed to make my *thick* lenses not so noticeable. Prices are totally reasonable too. And he is nice and professional - unlike the pushy salespeople you find at the larger chain stores who try to upsell you on a million different things and do a lousy job for a huge price.

WORKING WITH EYETAILOR HAS BEEN A POSTIVE EXPERIENCE FOR ME. i HAVE A SEVERE PRESCRIPTION AND THE OWNER -SUNG- WAS VERY PATIENT AND KIND. HE NOT ONLY HELPED ME PICK OUT A PERFECT FRAME , BUT HE HAD AND SHOWED CONSIDERABLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE TECHICAL ASPECT OF MAKING PRESCRIPTION GLASSES. DUE TO MY PRESCRIPTION, I SPENT 6 MONTHS IN NEW YORK , AS WELL AS LOS ANGLES, INTERVIEWING OPTICAL STORES AND OPTICIANS . NOT ONLY WAS EYETAILOR THE MOST QUAILFIED--EYETAILOR ALSO WAS SIGNIFICATELY BETTER PRICED.

Don't like what they have at lens crafters? or most places? Prices seem too high for what you want? Don't want a gold D & G on the side of your temple every day... Check out the eye taylor they have a great selection- many styles, retro, hipster, reasonable prices, and if you have something already in mind they probably have it... Also the turn around is really fast.

Desperate and fed up with hyper-trendy and excessively expensive frame shops here in Los Angeles, I was psyched to walk into Sung Kim's shop on Melrose. I can't praise his professionalism, his lack of pretense and his friendliness more. His shop is extremely comfortable, filled with light. I didn't feel pressured or overwhelmed. His selection of frames is top-notched. He helped me choose the best frames that not only suited my face but also my style without trying to push more expensive frames. His prices will astound you, compared to other high end shops in town. He's also quick like lighting. I went in on a Sunday, and by Thursday I had both pair of glasses. I would love to see Eyetailor become a staple for the Koreatown, Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Echo Park crowd. Eyetailor is located by LACC on Melrose in between Vermont and Normandie. All you glasses-wearing-folk out there, do yourself a favor and check it out!!!!
