The store itself is cool. The people that work there are real a$sholes. And everything is overpriced. If you arent looking to buy clothes or something like that Id go down the road to the graffiti headshop. Much better, cooler people and cheaper glasswear.

Hippie Gypsy is in a great location and has a terrific selection of clothing and headware. Unfortunately, their prices are as high as James Franco in Pineapple Express. I purchased a Vaporizer there only to find out it was 10% less on the web from the manufacturer and included some additional accessories. The herb grinder I looked at I found for $40 less on-line also (almost half the price). If you are in hurry and don't mind paying the Hippie Ripme premium, they'll have what you need plus the staff is friendly and helpful.

Overpriced. Can't blame them, they are located on Mill right next to ASU. As far as the above review, you NOOB, of course you can't return pipes once they've left the store. C'mon. I have never been to a headshop that took returns on these types of items.

Whatever you do do NOT buy a hookah or shisha from this place. The grommet (rubber seal) for the hookah smelled like it was made from recycled tire rubber. It affected the tastes of the hookah in the worst possible way. And the shisha itself was terrible (smoked some in a different hookah). No matter the flavor chosen it all looks and tastes the same. Bland and without character. Do yourselves a favor and avoid wasting your money at this place.

I have been going to the hippie gypsy shop on mill for a few years now and I still don't have anything bad to say about it. The staff is friendly. the store is clean, the merchandise is neatly organized, and it always smells nice. They have an awesome selection of pipes, bongs, and hookahs not to mention interesting clothing. I highly, highly recommend this place.

Please go to the Hippie Gypsy and judge for yourself. I have never had a bad experience in this shop. This is a classic head shop. It is very roomy and has a lot of product. Every salesperson is very helpful and ready to answer any questions! I am sorry Chasers had what he felt was a negative experience. Remember folks, we are only hearing one side of the story here. I have seen the "No returns" signs with my own eyes - but I already know there are no returns - that is common sense! Returning a glass pipe is a big nono because it can be cleaned up and look brand new - but it is not. Any glass product, when heated, changes physicall composition and weakens. If properly cleaned up you cannot visually tell the difference. If the shop were to accept a returned glass pipe and resell it they could potentially be selling damaged goods. That being said, I LOVE this shop! Many unique and hard to find clothing items, memorabillia, and smoking apparatus. The fact that it is snugly nestled in the... Read more

I've shopped here for years. 4/5/08 we purchased a glass pipe. 4/6/08 we went back to EXCHANGE the unused, undamaged, pipe. The woman said "I apologize we don't do returns on pipes, it's just our policy." I was very upset that we weren't informed of this "policy" before making the $50 purchase. Julia the woman working the register (that wasn't even helping me) yells, "there are signs all over that state no returns!" I asked Paige (the girl that was helping us) to show me the sign. I never saw it and neither did any of the people that I was with. Julia, then screamed..."You don't need to have attitude, I will kick your a$$ out of this store so fast!" I thought to myself, "are you kidding me right now!? Paige showed me a very small sign taped to the back of the glass near a register that I did NOT check out at. I informed her that I merely wanted to do an EXCHANGE as we didn't notice the hole in the pipe was excessively large. Her response, "that would be dishonest." Dishon... Read more
