We recently had dinner at Nobles because of the reviews we saw on this site. We thought the food was very good but the rest of our experience was very disappointing. First of all we were seated right by the hallway to the kitchen where our whole hour at the restaurant was spent watching waiters rush in and out --very distracting and annoying. The sound level in the restaurant is very very noisy and not relaxing at all. The kitchen is exposed and our view was entirely of the waitstaff rushing to and from the counter. Our waiter was a robot with an attitude...no personality, no people skills, and he rushed us the whole time we were there. He gave us no time to settle in or savor our evening out. This was our first visit to Charlotte so needless to say we had a very negative look at what we expected to be fine dining and southern hospitality. When we asked about a pasta entree (lower priced entree) he said he and the restaurant themselves don't recommend it--obviously wanting us t... Read more

Food was great and had good service. Loved the ambience. The cheese plate was really tasty. Our entrees were excellent---chicken and lamb. The side dish of fried corn was great. We didn't have desert but two warm cookies came with the bill--nice touch. An all around delicious dinner--I look forward to going back.

We went here for my birthday, and the thing I remember most was the service. The hostess, waitress, bus boy-- everyone was extremely kind and accomodating. The bread was delicious (crusty and great with the olive oil). There were a lot of meaty dishes that I am usually not too fond of (veal, duck, lamb), so I tried their lobster and mushroom pasta. It really wasn't that great, but I'm sure the rest of the food was wonderful. My fiance had the veal and he loved it. We had apple tart and sorbet for dessert and both were lovely. The cinnamon ice cream is to die for!

In Short The Tuscan-inspired setting makes you forget that you're in an office building. Hues of gold, brown and salmon, marble accents, stone half-walls and moss topiaries lend a down-to-earth feel. But tuxedo-vested servers remind you that this is an upper-crust place. The crowd is upscale: business-types having dinner meetings in suits and golf shirts, and couples and families dressed to the nines. The menu changes daily, and frequently includes favorites like the pan-seared Angus filet and wood-grilled free-range chicken.

Noble's has always been one of those restaurants on our list but never seemed to bubble up. Perhaps the office building setting was a deterrent but to our delight, the space was quite inviting. Without a reservation, we decided to try it on a Thursday. The bar is nice in its own little nook with a long communal table that would be ideal for a group of friends and drinks. We both had fish entree's which were cooked to perfection. The two salads we tried were also splendid. If I had one comment, it would be the size of the entrees. For $32, I had a 2.5 oz. piece of fish over a half cup of tasty risotto. The value is missing but the flavor goes a long way.

I have been to Noble's twice and each time has been a wonderful experience. I would not reccomend taking children, only becasue it is such a quiet, relaxing, and romantic place. They can also accomadate larger groups without causing discomforts to their other patrons.

My first visit was for Valentines Day as I wanted to show my date something special. The service was flawless (Randall was the server i believe). We are a younger couple and we are used to receiving either ugly looks or poor service only b/c of age and stereotype, but we rec'd the same service as the more "refined" couples in the restaurant. No complaints beginning with the bartenders in the beginning to the dessert at the end.. Thank you for a good night.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Always consistently wonderful! Not too pricey either! I live in Atlanta and I look forward to coming to Charlotte to dine here.

Excellent food, fine service, beautiful "digs", and fine ambience. Jimmy Noble has another winner here. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the meal.
