I just moved back to Tx from Arizona (native Texan :) and I was totally satisfied with Casa Rio! This was actually our 2nd choice b/c the first restaurant had an hour and a 1/2 wait. I'm glad our plans changed. We walked a few blocks and Casa Rio had an hr. wait. This place is mulit leveled and right off the Riverwalk (cool scenery). Upstairs, I had a frozen rita that was not too sweet and had a great frozen consistency. I asked my brother about his rita, and the bartender over heard and asked if he'd like to try a top shelf rita instead offering to give us the first. I was appreciative b/c I know most bartenders don't take the time and feel too busy to go the extra mile. We got a table, and were greeted promptly by the server. I noticed he was sat at least 3 tables all at once and handled it perfectly. We never noticed. The queso was great and the server stayed on top of everything. My mom and I coordinated and shared 2 plates, green chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, along with a combo plate with one cheese enchilada and a bean tostada. I was pretty stuffed, but the beans and rice are good too. This was a great welcome back for me and I highly recommend Casa Rio! We got a lot for what we spent. I will definately return.

I always bring families visiting me here in San Antonio and no matter where they came from, they always love the river scene. It has something to offer for both kids and kids at heart! The Wax and Believe it or Not Museum is just across the street from the Rivercenter Mall. The boat ride is a must if you have someone who's never toured the river and it only cost 5 bucks. I recommend going there on a weekday if you can because it's packed with Air Force visiting families during Saturday and Sunday.

The SceneOnce a nefarious part of the city that military personnel were forbidden from visiting, this 2.5-mile meandering stretch of shallow water, trees and tables with umbrellas has evolved into the top tourist destination in Texas. Within strolling distance of the convention center and surrounded by hotels, the Riverwalk is clearly designed to accommodate tourists, yet the area retains a quaint, guileless charm. The DrawMore than 50 restaurants cluster along the river, and while some national chains are present, most bars and eateries are native to San Antonio--including Casa Rio, the promenade's first restaurant, which opened in 1946. Just beyond the Arneson River Theatre there is a quiet path to rugged benches, historic tiles, fountains and a view of the city beyond the water. During the holidays, trees drip with colorful lights and the atmosphere is festive.

I have traveled to many places in this great country of ours and the San Antonio Riverwalk is the most beautiful city in the United States. It is clean, fresh and the people are so nice and friendly. The riverwalk is unbelievable! I had the opportunity to move to a small town near by and my husband and I take advantage of the romantic riverwalk and it's plethora of restaurants every chance we get!!

I had the opportunity to visit San Antonio, about two weeks ago, a week before Thanksgiving. It is a beautiful city. I was there on a bowling tour, along with some friends. We all visiting from St. Louis, Mo. where the weather is awful cold and inconsistent. We got a chance to go to the malls, the alamo, the riverwalk, the movies, a night club, etc. I particularly like the riverwalk. We took the river ride, and had excellent tour guide name Juan, it was worth taking. The riverwalk is a must see at night. We ate at the Crab Shack, Dick's, and a nice little Bar-B-Q place across the river from Dick's. The weather was sunny in the low 70's. If I had to relocate and move my family San Antonio is where we would move.

When family members and friends come to visit, the first place I take them is the Riverwalk. With all it's attractions and different restruants and entertainments, you can't go wrong. The City of San Antonio takes pride in their city and it shows.

The San Antonio Riverwalk is the best for people-watching. You don't have to spend a dime, unless you choose to, and then the restaurants/coffee shops/ice cream joints are great! Enjoy!

I have never seen anything like the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The saff was very friendly, polite and knowledgable. The view of the foliage during the boat ride was spectacular. The idea of riding through a beautiful city in a boat was certainly a new one that proved to be very pleasant. The choices of resturaunts along the River Walk seemed to be wonderful both in variety and quality. We ate at an outside table of a Mexican resturaunt next to the water. The food was better than any Mexican food I have ever tasted and the atomosphere was great! I would go back in a minute and reccomend it to anyone!

The Riverwalk is a great place for a romantic getaway. There are many nice hotels within walking distance. The Marriott is located on the Riverwalk with balconies overlooking the river and the city of San Antonio. It's a nice, comfortable and luxurious place to stay. There are also many nice restaurants and bars to choose from ranging from casual to upscale and everthing in between. At night it is lit up so nicely. You and your loved-one can enjoy a romantic dinner, go dancing or tour the Riverwalk by boat. It's also lots of fun just walking around, perusing the shops and seeing people at their best - having fun! I recommend it for families as well.

The river of dreams! The resaurants, the people, the music, the fancy hotels, all give the feeling that you're really someplace. I only wish my lady had been with me.

Great place to stroll anytime but especially during the cooler evenings. Plenty of different restaurants to choose from and a great mall. River boat rides and a floating mexican restaurant, Casa Rio.

The San Antonio Riverwalk is the most incredible attraction for tourist as well as locals. No other town in the United States has a year-round attraction that you never tire of. The people in San Antonio are so friendly - unlike any other city I have ever lived in. No one EVER gets tired of going to the riverwalk - even when you live here. There is always something to do, see, eat, live entertainment and an abundence of every type of food you could possible want. Hands down, the San Antonio Riverwalk rates a 10+ with me.

The Riverwalk is a "must do" experience for any visitor to San Antonio! In the Spring and Fall one can spend most of a day with their loved one just strolling along the serene walk and stopping for a bite to eat or a drink at any of the many fine establishments that abut the walk. One can even take a relaxing ride in a boat or be served a meal during a boat ride. This is San Antonio's crown jewel...

The Riverwalk is a wonderful place to experience culture, romance or just have a good time. The view of the river is absolutely beautiful and there are many restaurants to suit anyone's fancy.

San Antonio's riverwalk was the most fun I have ever had with my friends in my life. We took the cruise, ate at Hooters - TWICE!!! (San Antonio's Hooter Girls were the best looking I've seen compared to any other hooters.) The mall was wonderful, i dunno, i cant explain how fun it was, and the history and trivia - -AWESOME!!!!! Watch out for that Texas Poison Ivy.

A very pleasant place to relax, dine, shop, and people watch in a beautiful setting. Better to go on the weekday evenings - less crowded!

From dusk to dawn even on a weekday morn, the riverwalk is the place for you and your love.

Fantastic people watching, food smells from the nearby restaurants and music in the air. The riverwalk is as much a part of San Antonio as the Alamo. Great any time of year.
