I didn't realize how much I appreciated Harold Reynolds until he left Baseball Tonight. The show just isn't as watchable without him on it regularly. He did some work for TBS this post season in the playoffs, and it was a pleasure to hear his voice. He is a great baseball analyst, and I would love to see him on TV more often. Unfortunately it seems his separation from ESPN didn't go so well, and no other network dedicates much time to baseball besides the Worldwide Leader.

No glitz and glitter, just a crisp and knowledgable take on the game. I like him.
Loerke 01/15/2007
I enjoyed Harold's willingness to pick up a bat and demonstrate his points with clarity for a viewer like myself, who has not the the slightest bit of athleticism. His mysterious firing was doubly unfortunate now that he has been replaced by Steve Phillips. If Reynolds was fired for sexual harrassment, as the rumor goes, Phillips isn't much of a choice, since he was sued for the same thing himself in 1999.

My favorite baseball anouncer!
lilbg13j 07/12/2006
Harold is a personal favorite of mine and is second behind the great Peter Gammons. He comes to the show with great infomormation and speaks very clearly.

I like Harold, he doesn't have that take me out to the ball game and buy me some cracker jacks vibe unlike a lot of baseball analysts have. Very smart, and has a smooth delievery, also unlike most ESPN analysts who mumble and talk too fast.
seatomb 05/10/2006
Way to smooth. Always, Always says thing we all already know. Will not go out on a limb, very safe and neat. Can not stand him.
Oyeah487 02/26/2006
Good player, good analyst.
gobolts 12/15/2005
Just a little too smooth. I usually find myself not agreeing with Reynolds view. I think he is better in the booth, but he is not bad paired with Gammons and complimented by Kruk.

Extremely likeable guy, was a good though not great second baseman , and demonstrates his deep knowledge of baseball fundamentals on a consistent basis. The only thing I don't get at all are some of his predictions or opinions, but his analysis of the game itself is usually fine.
RainMan12 09/14/2005
Very level-headed and classy. Harold does not have a big ego and does his homework. Very steady, akin to his playing career.
MSouthworthTB 08/25/2005
He is one of the best analyst Ive seen for Baseball Tonight who actually stays on the team.
southparker9 04/22/2005
Has improved immensely sense joining ESPN. Great job Harold.

Outstanding baseball analyst, one of the best
Corporal34 03/25/2005
The best baseball analysist out there. John Kruk is on the verge of becoming a good one too, and with those two plus Peter Gammons, Baseball Tonight will be the best sports show on TV.
mtbmlb 03/03/2005
He is a great guy with a likeable personality.

Great guy and a good Christian. What a ball player. Started with dirt ending with a spot light on his face.
Haywood Jablowme 12/27/2004
Smooth!
shonuffcute 12/15/2004
I do not watch baseball (It's boring) but I swear everytime Harold is analyzing I find myself watching his segment! Smooth presence and great eye-candy for the camera!
Wavebacker 12/11/2004
Great on Baseball Tonight and doing The College World Series. What makes him special is that he brings real life experience to his analysis and will actually show or tell you what he sees. Great stuff.
ericsaul 09/22/2004
Never says anything interesting. Arguments are not thought out. Seems to be held in contempt by other announcers. Terrible. Don't understand why he has a job [and I'm a Seattle Mariner fan].
The_Drizzle 08/08/2004
Carries a lot of poise and brings professionalism to Baseball Tonight and ESPN. He gives the viewer excellent insight to the great game of baseball. ESPN has been lacking and needs more guys like HR.

One of if not my favorite sports commentator.

Harold, as an ex-player, provides valuable insights on Baseball Tonight and his camera presence has improved over the years. He doesn't bash his opinions over your head, but rather articulates them in a thoughtful matter. He and Gammons make a good team.

I enjoy Harold so much, especially with the little league world series. He's genuine. He's a nice guy, humble and enthusiastic, very positive. I applaud his success. Keep up the good work, we'll be watching!
BeanoCook 02/07/2004
When he started he was a joke. Now he is average which is a testament to someone fixing him. Poon hound.
larry_biz 12/24/2003
Don't look now, but HR is honestly being groomed into one of the best TV baseball guys out there. He isn't a blowhard who thinks he is the ultimate source of baseball wisdom, which that in itself gives him 4 stars.

Raynolds has gotten better by leaps and bounds from when he first started on ESPN. I thought he was just another dumb jock at first, but Harold has improved his speaking skills, has gotten more confident, has a much improved tv presence, and is more adept at getting his points across in general. His knowledge of the game of baseball was always top notch and since he's improved as a broadcastor it makes him all the more effective. I like Harold.
Philkid3 09/04/2003
Knows the game very well and throws in a great personality to boot. Usually people only accomplish one or the other. Harold pulls off both.
hendo 07/16/2003
His love of the game shows, and his sense of humor really adds to Baseball Tonight.
grosegreg 06/02/2003
Always got something to say.

A joy to watch someone who enjoys their work!

Not as knowledgeable as Joe Morgan, but very good.
michael_arbor 11/26/2001
Is this Chris Rock being a baseball analyst? That is just a joke, they remind me of one another though for some reason. He does a good job interviewing and giving a player's insight to the game.
