Eileen is my favorite. I've been going to her for over 5 years now and I love the way she waxes. She is always very interested in what I'm saying and legitimately cares about what goes on in my life. I have never had a burn or redness after visiting her, and I have very light skin. Awesome woman-- check her out!

I was very dissappointed to find that Carolann Espino is no longer affiliated with Strada Dayspa. She was one of the best in the business. The best esthetician, massage therapist and Reiki Practitioner. Too bad for Strada.

I have experienced TRUE RELAXATION. After an extremely taxing week, I decided to visit the salon and purchased a package which included a facial and massage with services provided by Kerry Hamilton. The facial and massage were fabulous. Kerry’s touch is gentle and soothing, yet firm and effective. Her gracious and gentle nature could make any customer feel at ease. I highly recommend a visit to both the salon and Kerry for anyone interested in feeling refreshed and revitalized.

I went to Eileen at Strada Spa for a Microdermabrasion Facial and it was awesome! I was looking for a more aggressive facial for my aging skin and was very happy with the results and the service!!! She made me feel very taken care of and explained to me vey thoroughly the whole process and how to take care of my skin!!! Go see Eileen she rocks!!

Rodney Haines is amazing. He is extremely talented, has extensive training and experience, much of it in high end New York salons. is a perfectionist as well sweet and witty. My hair has been a nightmare my entire life: lifeless, thin, and extremely fragile. Many stylists have tried to work with my difficult hair, but to achieve what I want, has always resulted in damaged hair. Well, Rodney has achieved full, bouncy, curly hair with a beautiful color and highlights, and still kept my hair healthy! He listens to your wishes, and works with you, but he will never allow damage to your hair. He is open, honest and truly cares. He styles men, women, young and old, everyone getting exactly what they came in for. He has many talents, you might even get some great tips for creating amazing meals too. All this and his prices are quite reasonable.

Whether it's color, cut or a new style- He spends a great deal of time listening to the client to determine exactly what the client wants and the best way to achieve it. I have known about Reiki for many years. I am a caregiver who works in hospice with the dying. I met Carolann because I was told about her compassion and knowledge and practice of Reiki. I know other caregivers who practice Reiki and I have never heard anything negative about the benefit of this healing modality. When I went to see Carolann it was to discuss my husband's debilitating conditjion of Parkinson's Disease. She never made any medical claims and certainly did not tell me not to continue seeking medical experts. But what she did do was a Reiki session for me and I was convinced that Reiki is beneficial to anyone. She merely placed her hands on me and I was relaxed, peaceful and felt warmth, vibrations and a state of calmness that I haven't felt in so long. I was referred to Carolann at Strada Salon by a friend. I had a great treatment. Everything was conducive to a relaxing facial and massage. She was informative, professional and explained very well the benefits of facials and massage. It is very rare that I go to the zone where I completely relax. She asked me about any injuries and before doing extraction explained the sanitation procedures she uses for all clients. I was very impressed. I have never had anyone make me feel so comfortable about all aspects of my treatment. I highly recommend her to anyone. I will definitely become a return client.

I have been a client of Carolann's for 15 years. She is a friend and professional associate. I have had all spa treatments by her over a span of many years. We are friends but also very picky about what we spend our money on. I knew her when she had her own Dayspa and have continued to see her for almost 20 years. That speaks for itself. .

After experimenting for many years with different hair stylists and salons and being disappointed most of the times, I finally found Suzi Mate. She is absolutly the best and very profesional. Her haircuts are very precise and even.... which means my hair always grows out evenly and always looks great ...without spending much time styling each morning. So unless I decide to go shorter I can go for up to 2-3 months between my haircuts! Thank you Suzi for making me look beautiful everyday, and get all those nice compliments from my friends!

Nice work with my haircut and style, Suzi Mate. You're a true virtuoso with the scissor cut I've missed for so long. Clipper cuts cannot match the way you custom shape my very straight hair to the shape of my face. You've earned my steady business!

When visiting Strada, you MUST ask for Kerry! Her facials are heaven sent and she gives the BEST massages! I always leave her feeling like a new woman! She's the nicest person and really listens to what you expect/want/need from your experience. I can't wait to go back!

I had a facial and a massage at Strada Salon & Day Spa. Whomever contributed to that decor definitely has good taste (in the spa area especially). The parking was great, the staff was really friendly and attentive when I came in. Several staff asked if I would like water, coffee or tea etc. Carolann was my therapist. What a pro. She provided one of the best experiences I have ever had. I felt like I was floating most of the time. Everything she did added to one of the best services I have had bar none. I would highly recommend her to men, women, grandmothers, sisters, brothers. I left feeling like a new person. She said very little but I found her to be a kind human being who cares about everyone of her clients from beginning to the end of your time with her.

I got a gift certificate for Strada spa for my birthday and I was super excited, since it was my first time to get a massage. Carrie was sooo great, she really took her time and was very courteous, Suzi gave me a beautiful haircut and was really helpful on techniques I can do at home. Overall this place is wonderful and I will definately be going back.

Best facial and massage anywhere! I found Strada Salon on City Search. I read the reviews and decided to try Carolann because of all her great reviews. I was not disappointed. I had a facial and a massage. I have never been so relaxed and my skin felt and looked fantastic. She uses Dermalogica and is extremely knowledgeable.I would recommend her for either service. It was excellent service and she is a very friendly down to earth person. Experience definitely matters and she certainly has that plus she gives 150 percent.

Carolann is a 3rd Degree Reiki Practicioner who is really in-tune with the energy system of the body. She has a gift for sensing what is out of balance and can focus on the cause of any problems. Her unique ability to scan the body helps pinpoint the areas of focus. I have known and worked with Carolann for over 2 years. Her gifts are truly genuine and her dedicaton to helping others is obvious.

i recently went to visit Carolann a Reiki Master who was referred to me by a friend. I went with a migraine headache and was told Reiki might help. She was very thorough in her consultation and asked me about the history of my headaches. She stated the longer and more chronic a condition is the more difficult it is to be relieved. She made no medical claims and was very informative about her experiences with Reiki. I had an open mind and I was definitely surprized when the minute she placed her hands on my head the pain immediately began to dissipate. I became extremely relaxed and left feeling so much better. She recommended more treatments for chronic conditions and thanked me for trusting her. She stated she was trained by a LVN-RN from Stanford Medical Center and that they were now doing Reiki at the Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital. I found Carolann on another review site. She is a spa therapist and Reiki Master. I had a Reiki session from her due to ongoing chronic pain in my foot. The session was relaxing and beneficial. The pain in my foot subsided the minute she put her hands on my throbbing foot. I was astounded. I had heard she had healing hands but I was truly amazed. Reiki made me so relaxed and I felt a deep sense of tranquitty and peace. Weeks later my foot still does not give me the problems or pain it did before. I purchased a gift certifificate to have a massage from Carolann. She said it was the best massage she ever had. It was thorough, and the hot towels and heating pads were an added unexpected treat as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is one of the nicest caring practiioners I have met in a long time.

When I go to San Jose to Visit, I always make it a point to see Eileen to get the best facial ever. I wish she lived in L.A., which iis where I live. She is so thorough and a pleasure to be with. Strada Salon has a very good massage therapist in Carolann Espino. I have come in once a month over the past year plus, and have received an excellent, very consistent and relaxing massage. She has developed a 90 minute routine that is thorough, but still allows for some detailed work on areas that may need specific attention because of injury or stress.

I was looking for a salon that I could relax in and feel my needs being taken care of. Excellant stylist. My stylist, Heidi, listened to what I wanted and made me feel and look beautiful. Get away from the loud salons and step into Strada.

Eileen at Strada Day Spa is fabulous!!! She really gives an awesome Facial with all the bells and whistles!! Her Facial was very thorough complete with a Hand Neck Shoulder and Face Massage! Carol Ann gave me the best facial I have ever had. It was a peaceful environment and I left relaxed. She has the ability to massage as well and her hands gave my neck and shoulders a much needed treatment. Carolann is the Simply the Best! I have gone to see her for facials and massages and it is an exquisite calming experience. After my facials, my face is simply glowing. I have really sensitive skin and she is very professional about looking at my skin and asking questions to tailor a facial especially for me addressing my skin concerns with warmth and confidence, which really puts me at ease. Actually the minute I step into her room I start to unwind, it is so tranquil and she is accomodating. Recently, I had the most amazing experience at Strada salon. My girlfriend wanted me to get a pedicure, like most guys I was extremely hesitant because it's not cool. Michelle Rosendin was very service oriented, in terms of making me feel relaxed in this unique ordeal. First, she offered me a nice cold beverage, secondly she has this amazing massage chair that puts your entire body and mind at rest. Third, she tells a few jokes that are not very funny, however, I laugh because she is trying. You can never fault someone for effort. Then she proceeded with the pedicure, her hands were very soothing on my toes, she has a certain touch that makes this expierence simply serene. As, she is giving me my pedicure, she asked me if I'm comfortable, and if I need a cold beverage.She focuses on one toe at a time, and as a result my toes looked amazing. The hair salon is chaotic and I felt alot of tension from the employees .. You could cut it with a knife. After viewing the website I expected to walk in and feel very relaxed. It wasnt until I stepped into the spa that I felt any relaxation. The massage from the therapist was good but the noise coming from the room next door kept me from relaxing. I heard muffled talking throughout the treatment and there was no shower facility. I visited previously over a year ago and was not as dissapointed by my previous spa service.

Strada Salon has a wonder and relaxing atmosphere. I have seen both Jan for facials and Jennifer (the owner) for hair, several times, and each has been consistantly wonderful. I had actually stopped having facials quite sometime ago because I was not impressed, THEN I met Jan. When you walk into her room the atmosphere is very soothing which just adds to the experience of the facial, of course most of the time I end up falling asleep at some point because it is so relaxing, but for the times I am awake I throughly enjoy my time there and I get to enjoy the mini foot massage she provides while I have my mask on! If you go to this spa, do NOT ask for a massage from Jan. Or anything from her for that matter. She was snotty and unfriendly during my appointment. She sneered at my skin care regimen, but did not bother to offer any better suggestions, criticized my skin and couldn't make conversation to save her life. And that was just during the facial! She told me I would just love her foot massage, but how could I tell when it lasted all of 3 minutes? She obviously has no formal massage training, or she would know you massage MUSCLE, not bones. Her technique was irratic, going over my biceps 6 times (I counted) but barely addressing my feet (although she made a show of washing them, but then didn't do anything else. I've been to several massage session with Jan and they are simply the best massage experiences I've ever had. The massage room is dimly lit and smells great--like fresh eucalyptus mixed with other fresh scents. She is very gentle when I'm feeling sensitive but can also get into deep massage therapy when I need my muscles to be manipulated. It's not just that she's a great massage therapist; she truly cares about your experience and wants make sure that you're getting what you need out of the experience. She is a very calming person and I always feel relaxed and rejunvenated after a massage. I've also had a few facials from her and highly recommend her for that as well. She is thorough and knowlegeable about all skin types and can recommend a skin treatment for anyone looking to refresh their skin care regimen. Strada is one of the most relaxing salons in ALL of San Jose. I was given a gift certificate to Strada for Mother's Day by my husband. (what a guy!!!) I started with a haircut and deep conditioner from Taylor. Ladies, you know how hard it is to find a GOOD hairstylist!!! Let's just say, she's got a client for life!!!! I was so relieved to find a new salon and day spa!!!! And my facial was amazing!!!!! Jan, my massage therapist, took her time with my facial. SO relaxing. She also recommended I try Dermalogica for some of my skin issues. Starting a new skin care line is always scary for me, but I decided to give it a try. At the time, I had a few acne issues, and was feeling desperate. So with the help of Jan, I chose an acne wash from Dermalogica. After 1 wash, I knew I had found my new line!!!!!!! What a relief!!!!!!!!!! LONG story short, I LOVE STRADA!!!!!!! And MEN: A gift certificate to Strada is a wonderful gift!!!!!

Fantastico! This salon/day spa is like a cruise experience. I feel and look 10 years younger and 20 years more glamorous than when I walked through the door. The exotic upbeat atmosphere....the gorgeous fountain and lush greenery as you step inside, sets the mood for creating a new and improved YOU! If you are in the doldrums or simply need some serious pampering, this is the place for you. I am somewhat discriminating about which salons I patronize and, in my opinion, these people are true artists in their fields. Even though the salon is relatively new, the stylists, estheticians, massage therapists and the manicurist are all highly experienced and raise the bar on over-all quality. My haircut with highlights gave me a new look with pazzazz! My husband agrees and feels equally 'at home' in the Stada salon. Hi my name is Jennifer and I own STRADA SALON AND DAY SPA! So...with that being the case, I have to give my place a five star rating! Believe it or not I think we are well worth it! We have six fabulous stylists, three spa technicians and one manicurist who, in my opinion, are the best in town! For those who have never been to our place we have a relaxing Tuscan themed spa that you'll have to experience first hand to appreciate.
