It is a place for family to go have fun. You can ride AWESOME rides such as The Great White(thrill) and the Steel Eel(thrill). You could get a splash on a water ride such as Journey To Atlantis(water). After all the fun go relax by watching Shamu's shows such as Believe or go watch the jet skii shows(awesome!). You can also celebrate Halloween here. At night they have this cool haunted trail to walk down(It's fun).So don't miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with Shamu!( Oh yeah one more thing... The lines were EXTREMELY short. Most rides didn't even have lines. You just go..choose where in the car you want to be then get on(especially at night). The only ride that had a line was Jouney to Atlantis(The line wasn't even that long on this ride and it was worth the short wait).

We took our 3 children last summer. The plan... see the shows and then go to the waterpark. We went to all the shows, which are fantastic, but it took all day to see the shows. When we were ready to go to the water park , there was a 2 hour waiting line just to get in to the waterpark. I had no idea we would have to wait in line to get into the waterpark. After a full day of walking around the park, there was no way I was standing in line for 2 hours. Also, they are not euipped to handle the crowd. There are not enough places to eat or just get a drink. We stood in line for an hour to get our lunch and another 30 minutes later on in the afternoon just to get a drink. There are not enough bathrooms either. I will not be going back.

One of my dreams has been to swim with the dolphins before I die. I got to do it here, but this security guy with a long hook-thing pulled me out. He made up some lie about the dolphins being "fragile", but they aren't. I've seen them jump and play ball. Hey, security guy! My ticket pays your salary! Don't tell me what to do, HELP me do what I want to do!

If you plan your trip before you go this tip will make your Sea World visit much more cost effective less stressful and more fun. Go to Sea Worlds web site click on purchase tickets. You can get a 2 day ticket for the price of a one day ticket. It is an e-ticket and you must print it of and take it to the park with you. The days do not have to be consecutive but must be used during the 'season' they are purchased. I did this last year and just purchased them again today! If you want to take your time and see everything or have young kids that can't do long days at the park this is perfect. We do one day on exibits and shows and one day in the water park and in the splash zones of the shows we want to see again.

The Appeal The world-famous killer whale won't disappoint, and beyond Shamu is a day full of fun. The latest coaster, the Steel Eel, is the only hypercoaster in the Southwest. Feel your stomach rise to greet your screams as you drop 15 stories into a wooded ravine. Try out the Great White, the inverted steel roller coaster that hurls riders head-over-heels five times at nearly 50 miles per hour. Facts and Figures If you come to Sea World for what's in the water, you won't be disappointed. Whales, sharks, sea lions, dolphins, otters, walruses and humans team up in more than 20 shows and educational exhibits. To get up close and personal, check out the Sea Lion Comedy Show--after Clyde and Seamore finish their performance, you can buy trays of fish to feed them and some of their sidekicks in the rocky coastal habitat they call home.

My family just got back from a trip to Texas, and Sea World was super! The "Shamu Rocks Texas" show was incredible, and the kids loved the "Dining with Shamu" experience. We went on a Monday, and the only wait was about 20 minutes for the refting ride (it was hot). Everything else, including the Steel Eel, was an immediate walk-on.

The first year my family went, we had a blast. The second year we were disappointed. The Shamu show was not very good! They did not do many tricks and the trainers did easy stuff and the show was short. Maybe the new attraction this year will bring us back but I am not too sure. Fiesta Texas, on the other hand, is a park I go back to year after year. Sea World is just too spread out with not enough park benches.

SeaWorld San Antonio has one of the most friendly staffs that I have ever met. They keep their park clean and safe for our kids to play in. I love it there and am a current season pass holder.

My husband and I just returned from San Antonio. Though we enjoyed the whole trip, the best place by far was Sea World. The Viva! show is excellent! The new Shamu Visions was good, too. We also fed sea lions, dolphins, and birds. Feeding the birds is a MUST! You get a cup of nectar and go inside a walk-through aviarium. They land on you and drink from the cup! (The crowds were also minimal on Sunday.)
