When I think about the great Gregory Peck, I think of Atticus Finch. Gregory Peck was a true Hollywood icon who seemed to have an aura of authority and guided principle about him. Not surprisingly, he was respected by most as a master thespian and artist. Yet, in a career rife with many great performances, Peck's Finch was the greatest character hero of them all. Appropriately, no actor could have done a better job. He was, and will always be, Atticus Finch in the hearts and minds of those who adore Harper Lee's great novel.

One of the greatest actors of his era. He was kind of the male counterpart of Audrey Hepburn - he didn't just appear on screen - he graced it. What magnificent chemistry they had in Roman Holiday. His voice was like a warming fire. IMO, there is no actor working today who even comes close to this kind enchanting appeal.

I was saddened by his death. I was not surprised since he was in his 80s and I saw him on something before he died had he was looking pretty frail. I had a lot of respect for him as an actor I really loved him in To Kill A Modkingbird, and Roman Holiday. I saw a documentary on him his daughter made and he seemed like a very nice family man.
