Per the acrna's review, I called while searching for service. Unfortunately, I live in the Med Center and it would have taken Larry too long to come out. After he told me this, he spent time on the phone with me telling me the things that could be and what to look out for. He gave me the name of Dan Lee of SOS who he thought might help. He too was in the same situation but was as equally helpful.

The blower motor in my attic was making all sort of noise. I looked up air conditioning repair on city search and found Airtronics. They were extremely friendly and sent someone out right away. The young man who came was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. Took my husband up in the attic and showed him the motor and said the bearing were going out. My husband agreed. There was a service Charge of 49.99 that we paid. The young man said he would go back to the office and price the motor and call and give us an estimate. The next day he called and said that to replace just the motor it would be a little over $700 dollars. I was home alone and thought that price seemed really high for just a small motor and expressed that. He said it was a special motor and it had to be ordered. He said he could replace the whole unit for 2300 dollars! I said I would have to talk it over with my husband. I called another AC man in our area (Troutman Air Conditioning) and told Mr. Troutman our story. He said that, indeed, that price seemed very high and he would be happy to come give us a 2nd opinion free of charge! He came out and in the same day replaced the blower motor AND blower wheel, sealed air leaks in the furnace and checked and recharged our AC for only $358.00!!! I was thrilled and so very happy that I got a second opinion and not trusted Airtronics! Troutman Air Conditioning and Larry Troutman ROCKS!
