I agree with the wait times being LONG and wondering if, when you were seated in the exam room, that the staff forgot you were there. While their experience base is solid, I found a doctor that also works with the NASA/JSC program and has the same solid experience. I was most upset at my last visit by the aggressive sales approach to buying a monthly vitamin program. After I was put in the exam room, they turned on a TV and had me watch their sales video. Upon checking out, I was again asked if I was ready to start my new vitamin regimen. Very high pressure and very unwanted...

I have been going to Dr. Manuel for many years. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced! When I was in the the Air National Guard @ Ellington, he was there also, he gave the vision exams for all the pilots. When I left there and went to work for a contractor for NASA, he did the vision exams/consulted for the Astronaut Corps. He is very well rounded and intelligent and I highly recommend him and his staff. As some of the others have said, the wait is at times long. But, on the other hand, when it comes to your vision and eyes wouldn't you want the best even if there is a wait?

The wait is rediculous, cheap or not cheap!!! My time is also worth something. Also they are not the only doctors with modern technology. Alot of good doctors out there that do not make you wait. Also the front staff forgets about you. The wait is too long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also they do not follow proper procedures for referrals. They try to beat the system by submitting for referrals without calling your primary care manager. I know... your saying why didn't I call my primary care manager?? Well I should had but the front desk said they would, since they do ask for this information when you come in. Then they try to cheat the sytem by bypassing your primary care manager this is not good. Bottom line is the wait is tooo long. Too many good doctors out there!

I went to Dr. Manuel when I had an odd contact lens problem and he was recommended independently by three people. He solved it. Yes, he's expensive, and I've waited a while at times, but when his attention is on you, it's centered on you. Probably the best in that area. Which is why he consults with NASA'S Johnson Space Center on the astronaut corps.

Confidence in the quality of evaluation and treatment/correction is what takes me to Dr. Manuel every time a family member has an eye problem. Waiting time is not a factor; not when it comes to getting my daughter or wife evaluated by Dr. Manuel. This is not a hair salon, ladies and gentlemen, this is about your health and your eyesight. Too bad, but we have only a handful of those we can call "best". And yes, the unhappy former employee's comments are a shame, but she's right in the title - be patient if the staff and doctors happen to be too busy helping other patients. It is worth the time.

I have worked for Dr. Manuel for many years and the above review is false. We take very good care of our patients. That is why we have so many long term patients. Our doctors are some of the best Optometrist in the United States. We offer excellent patient care, thorough eye examinations, the latest technology in contact lens fittings and a unique collection of the latest fashions in eyewear.

I used to work for them. I've worked with doctors before, but never with one that would make patient wait for as long as 1 hour while he wasn't even in the office. While you are in the waiting room, these doctors sit on the phone in their office. One in particular, on ebay. Not to mention, seriously overpriced. I would never recommend anyone to this office.
