I have an 02 Suzuki Eiger LTF-400F manual 4x4. I thought it was a good ATV. My buddy and I bought 3 total brand new of course. Well he has one with 200 miles on it and the motor sounds like it is coming apart. He brought it back and they took it apart could not find anything and told him to keep driving it till it broke, needless to say it has sat for years now in his garge. Mine has almost 2000 miles on it and it quit running, I took off the side cover which holds yhe electrical. This is what I found ALL THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE COVER ON WERE RUSTED, THE BIG BOLT THAT GOES THROUGH WAS CROSSED THREADED WHEN IT WAS PUT TOGETHER AND NOT BOTTOMED OUT AND THE BIG THING IS THAT THE MAGNETO ROTOR THAT HOLDS THE MAGNETS FOR THE STATOR CAME UNGLUED AND WERE BROKEN INTO MANY PIECES. Of course SUZUKI will not do anything to help me repair it, kind makes you mad that a part failed no fault of your own and Suzuki will not step up to the plate to help fix it.Needless to say the part is $350. When I ... Read more

I purchased a 2007 Suzuki Eiger 400 semi-automatic last year. I am more than pleased with its overall performance an durability. I have since put over 1600 miles on it last summer and have had, not one problem with it. I had put a winch and anor on it.. Its one tough little machine

Just bought an Eiger 400 4x4 automatic the other day. I am more than pleased with the purchase after much research and test riding different atv's. The power is nice for its class and the price is right. The low gear option is also valuable for certain situations. Overall an excellent machine for the price.

Best 4x4 for the money. Good power, low range geared like a workhorse, better than average ground clearance, no fancy digital junk to tear up and cost lots of money to fix. Worst thing about it is reverse is geared too high and doesn't have enough torque under load. Also would be better with locking differential and independent suspension but if these are a must then you're looking at approximately $1000 more to purchase an atv with these features.

Good power, good suspension (although not adjustable), ergonomics are great and with just under 1000 miles I havent had a problem yet. I have 25" MudLite's, DynoJet, Uni Filter and some air box mods....very reliable, comfortable and stable. Highly recomended.

My 04 Eiger has gone through everything I've dealt it and it keeps on going! Has more power and torque and far out performs others in its class. My buddy bought an 05 Honda Rancher AT 4WD and after our first time out he was very disappointed with its performance and two months later he bought an 05 Eiger and gave the Rancher to his wife. Another buddy of mine went and bought an 06 Honda Foreman and my Eiger can hang with it just fine. The Eiger is the very first ATV I've owned and I'm glad I made the right choice! The best advice I can give is to ride all ATVs before you buy one.

2006 Eiger Love the bike. Good value for the money. I put 26" Bear Claws on the front And 26" Wings on the back. Better ground clearence and top speed. BUT Does any one else have a rattle sound in the motor when under a load???????? Sounds like piston slap or piston knock, but it is not. I have even tried octane booster and no change ....... This noise is getting louder each time i go out..... I realy dont think this motor will last!!!! Hope no one else has this issue....

good power for something its size, keeps up with most open class machines in the woods. handles decent. easy to power slide, 4 wheel works great i havent gotten stuck yet and ive been thru some pretty bad stuff. i just dont like how much noise the belt makes, gettin an EPI kit, bear claws, and a quadworks stage 1 kit. should be able to keep up with the big bores when its time to play. :) all in all, i love it. comfy, stable, strong, everything is where u would expect it to be. almost perfect. and definately the best in its class.

Very capable machine. I have nearly 1000 miles on mine and it has performed flawlessly. Very fast for a 400 class! Mine has the auto tranny. Great handling bike.

This has got to be one of the most capable ATV's ever produced. Outstanding handling, very comfortable ride, plenty of power, especially for a 400cc engine. This is the fastest 400cc utility bike produced. All the controls feel like they are of very high quality, and are set up in a smart arrangement. All in all, the best of the best in its class.
