I purchased a 2008 Arctic Cat 500 TRV. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! This is the worst product I have ever bought. It is in the shop more than I ride it. Motor has blown, differential is blown, fanbearing blew, clutch, wire harness, carburator, belt problems. The odometer broke so they just rolled that back to 0!!! It stalls, backfires and bogs out. It is hard to start in the cold. Talked to an Arctic Cat rep and they just give me the run around and try to intimidate me. They will not even provide me with paperwork for the repairs. I have called the better business bureau of Manitoba and I suggest anyone who has had problems do the same. Arctic Cat is a terrible and untrustworthy company and I will never purchase or recommend their products to anyone not even my worst enemy.

Last year I bought a new off the lot.. Arctic Cat 500 foot shift only. I have only had this bike for a year and both rear cv shafts have gone bad on it, this bike has NEVER even been rode hard. I called the dealer and he told me that, dealers are getting letters from arctic cat on the 500cc up to 700cc bikes saying that the back shafts have to much stress on them and over 500 bikes are having this problem. I took mine to my local dealer and they and myself had called arctic cat asking them to repair this since they do know that its a manufacture defect and arctic cat told both of us " we just dont want to" repair my bike.. Never again will I ever buy one of theses bikes again, a company that knows they have bad products out there should repair them or cut a discount on the parts. New shafts are $250 each, so now my bike sits!

My first ATV, I kind of like it. It performs as I expected. I drag huge logs and heavily loaded trailers. Off road, it feels confident and strong. Top speed may be lacking? (I do not know. I am not into top-end-speed; but responds quickly when I stomp my thumb.) 2WD is fast and fun! Flip a switch, and 4WD gets my jobs done. I selected this machine because my neighbor, a lifelong treedropper has one, and he and his chainsaw rule the woods!

'02 400i- super reliable working quad. It has shamed every other quad in our hunting camp. Even with rough treatment, this quad has never let me down or been in the shop.

Ill give my 06 400 manual its due. Low end power would be nicer but hey im not 16 anymore. Plenty of power for work around the property and its fun for joyrides. No motor or drivetrain probs, and wow some ground clearance!

Have a Artic Cat 400. It's at the top of it's class boys. They win alot of off road championships for a reason. The only problem I have is they are a little top heavy, but I think they may have fixed that problem with the new 1000.

Bought my son a 2005 arctic cat 400 brand new its a junker. Constantly having problems with this machine universal joints every 6 months, leaking shocks, bad oil temp sensor, bushings and rear end bearingsand seals, oil cooler fan. 2 years old and its junk in shop more then driven and towed by my 1990 honda 300fwd more then once DONT BY A ARCTIC CAT waste of your earned dollars. Ground clearance is all they have but what good is it if you cant run it????? ARCT CAT needs to go back to the drawing board with the ATV line. The little Chinese machine I bought my 7 year old is a better machine.I have tried to talk with a arctic cat rep refusal to even talk about the problems with this machine. Attorney generals office is next. Any buddy else out there with arctic scrap.

My friend has an Arctic Cat 400 4x4. I cant say anything for the reliability because it only has around 300 miles on it, but as far as power, this bike sucks. I had a honda rancher that made it look sick. You cant really have any fun on the bike because it doesnt have enough low end power to spin the tires from a stop. To be honest, for the money you would spend on one of these machines, you could buy a honda Foreman, and be much more happy with the results. Artic Cat should stick to making sleds because thats what theyre good at. BELT DRIVES SUCK! Hondamatic is the way to go.

PURE JUNK!! I just bought a 2006 400 4x4 auto. The plastic fenders crack as soon as they rub against a tree. The 4WD busted on the second ride, the shaft actually slipped out of the front assembly because the brackets holding the assembly were manufactured 3/4" too high. Had to weld the shaft to the assembly and manually bend the brackets down to make it a fluid transition between 2 and 4wd. When it runs it's an animal, but too many bad habits for a $6000 machine. Should've bought a Kawasaki 360, would've been riding instead of welding!

Great work horse. This quad can get it all done and still go out and play with the boys on the trail. While not a wheelie machine it has plenty of power to get-r-done.

Nice bike. A little low on power untill it gets 500+ miles. It has a great suspension with excellent clearance. Very reliable and a very hard worker.
