I still have memories of my mother sending me to school with SPAM sandwiches. No wonder I grew up so bitter and twisted.....

Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was my group therapy session.

There's enough spam in our regular e-mail. Our RIA inboxes should continue to remain off-limits to these little boogers. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech; spam is a public nuissance that needs to be aggressively taken care of. To allow spamming on RIA defeats the whole purpose of the site, that is to communicate issues without special interests and push politics determining the outcome of ratings.

While irritating, spam is merely that. In other words, spam does not really seem to interfere with the integrity of the lists, ratings and comments, so as long as it doesn't hit same, spam is not that big of a deal to me. Nevertheless, the absence of unwanted messages provides for a more enjoyable website and experience on RateItAll. The bottom line is that the rule against spamming through messaging tools is advisable and wanted, but not a necessity for the integrity of RateItAll as some of the others (eg no multiple accounts).

I agree. Spam is a nuisance on the internet and it does not belong on rateitall.

I am proud to say that I am currently living in spam-free, pop-up free conditions which I would like to keep that way. If someone decides to change this, I'll go apes!@#. This hasn't been a problem so far, so hopefully it'll remain that way.

Sending spam to RateItAll users is a clear case of abuse and doesn't benefit the RIA community in any way. This should obviously be off limits.
