She was one of my favorites and a lot to behold. She would make a great armful!  I always enjoyed women with a little meat on their bones, and I really enjoyed all that chocolate real estate. Image hosted by imageshack.us

I would have loved Uhura if they would have given her more time. But no, they just put her as the communication officer on that ship and be all pretty. She was very important to all afro american people in the sixties. Martin Luther King asked her actually to stay on that show when she wanted to leave.

Uhura was so cool and HOT...loved when she had more to say than just Hailing frequencies open sir! She was a good actress who deserved a more prominent role in the show! Nichelle Nichols as Uhura also represented the struggles of the 1960's by her mere presence as a black woman in a command position. Even if the NBC brass didn't get it, Gene Roddenberry knew what he was doing!

I always admired the practical nature of her uniform.

Loyal, competent and beautiful Lieutenant Nyota Uhura (played by Nichelle Nichols) always kept the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise sharp, colorful and energetic while also keeping the communication lines open to all alien comers. It is unfortunate that she was not a major character on the series; however, Uhura did get the first interracial kiss on television (with Captain Kirk no less) and proved to the world that mankind can overcome racial bigotry in the future. Nyota Uhura was born in 2239 in United States of African Confederation, Earth.

Beautiful, tranquil, sophisticated, intelligent, and strong. The most beautiful woman on Star Trek as well as my favorite character.

Too bad her role was never expanded. She was a classy lady.
