I am having my dress made by the actual designer that works through Sunny's Brides to be. Sunny is very sweet and was very helpful. I saw the dress I wanted at a bridal show on a Saturday, and went in that following Monday to get it. They did not carry the dress I wanted, so I have to order it. Sunny was great in visioning the addition to the dress I want made, and the addition was affordable. I can understand she is busy with so many brides. I put lack of promised followup as a con, but its understandable because she is busy and since I am making an addition to the dress, I want followup to make sure it is done right. I am not getting married until May 2011, but my dress (I was told) would take 5-6 months to complete. I never got a call from her a week after she said she would call, so I ended up going into the location to sign off. I also asked if she could ask the designer to send a rose from the dress so I can start looking for bridesmaid dresses to match. I have yet to hear back... Read more

So far the experience has been great. Still waiting for the end product. But the service is great. I never would have thought I would find a dress when I drove by... but there was a lot to choose from and they were super helpful. I'm waiting for "build up" to be finished to change a strapless into a dress with cap sleeves. I'll re post when it happens.

The owner of Brides to Be is an incredibly kind, knowledgeable person, who should be recognized for her tremendous talent. I approached her with a vision of the wedding gown I'd like to create. She quoted a fair price and then went to work making a custom gown. All along the way, with each fitting, she listened to my requests as we tweaked things here and there. When I put on the gown during the final fitting, I began to cry. She was able to capture exactly what I had described! And best of all, the custom gown cost half the price of the off-the-rack gown I had chosen elsewhere. Brides to Be has a huge selection of wedding gowns, with the best prices I've seen in the Valley, as well as tons of bridesmaids gowns, veils, accessories and shoes. Oh, and her shop is open until 7pm during the week!

I came across this bridal boutique years ago when all of my other friends were getting married. I never thought in a million years that I would be able to purchase my OWN wedding gown! As soon as my mom and I walked in, Sunny met us with a bright smile and listened to me. I expressed what I liked and didn't like. She chose 3 dresses for me and the 3rd one was the charm. My mom and I couldn't have asked for such a wonderful and easy experience. We recently went back to Sunny's shop to purchase my mother's dress. She found something that is beautiful, 'young' and flattering. My bridesmaids and flower girl will be purchasing their dresses from here also. SO MUCH BETTER THAN DAVID'S BRIDAL! Save your money and have a more personal experience.

I was looking for a store near where I live to get some minor alterations for my wedding and bridesmaid dresses. I knew that I needed to have my wedding dress shortened in length and the straps on my bridesmaid dress shortened as well. When I was at the store, they were very helpful and recommended that I also have built-in bra padding added to both dresses, which I agreed would be a good idea. However, I believe there was a miscommunication between the sales associate and seamstress because when I picked up my dresses they forgot to add in the bra padding to the bridesmaid dress ? and to top it off I didn?t notice this until I got home with the dresses! I immediately called the store back and explained that I wanted and paid for padding in both dresses but only ended up with padding in one dress. The sales associate apologized and wanted me to bring the dress back in as soon as I had time. I took the dress back and the seamstress sewed the padding in on the spot! I was slightly... Read more

I first experienced this store about 7 years ago as a bridesmaid. I didn't get my dress from here, but the bride had her bussel and alterations done here, and our bridesmaids' dresses had cups put in for top support. They were VERY affordable and did an excellent job. A few years later, I was in another wedding, and referred other bridesmaids to have their alterations and inserts placed for upper support there. Again, an excellent, affordable job. The ladies that manage the place are friendly and very helpful. A few years after that- My sister was married and they altered her dress , pressed it and re-beaded it beautifully, only 2 months before her wedding. She had a VERY quick engagement. Her dress was simple and elegant, but when they completed it it was even more lavish in its simplicity. My bridesmaid's dress was also altered in a very short time. This time as a bride- I did not purchase my bridal gown there, but am definitely going to have my bridesmaids order from them. It's a sm... Read more
