There is a place in the bottom circle of hell for people like Hitler, those who wield hate as a means to wipe a group of humans entirely from the planet. Genocide is one of the worst things a human can do.

Not only a mass murder but also and idiot. Who goes into Russia in the winter. northern africa? What's the point in that except setting up the allies for the somewhat easy victory we need with early battles.

I can't even listen to his speeches without feeling chills run up and down my spine. For some reason, I fear him almost as much as I hate him. I think the scary part was that he was just a normal guy (who happened to be a crappy painter and a little bit off his rocker) and he rose to power by preying on Germany's vulnerability. He not only had the audacity to kill millions of people in mass genocide, but he also sentenced several of his friends to death. What a nice guy, hey?

Definately the first person to come to my mind as most hated person ever,Hitler personified the worst human charachteristics: prejudice, manipulativeness and murderousness. The scary thing is how successful he was at getting support from his people.(As well as the fact that some sick minded people still admire him.)

The man had gifts for good but sided with evil. I pray that this world never has to deal with such an evil dictator again who murdered millions upon millions of innocent lives.

Hitler would have to take the prize for most hated person in recent history. He systematically slaughtered 13 million innocent people predominantly Jews. He invaded, tyrannized, butchered and destroyed peaceful neighbors to perpetuate his ideal goal of global domination and the creation of a superior Aryan Race. This of course is universally sickening when looked upon in historical contexts. And somewhat embarrassing when certain leaders actions are called to task. His philosophy however was nothing more than many of these half baked secularist theories I see professed on RIA in practice absent any traditional moral restraint. Genocide is evil. The direct killing of innocent human life is evil. And there was no more a grotesque man than Hitler. Most of us would totally agree with that assertion. But the seeds of his monstrous acts are still professed daily. Butchers are still appeased daily. And there are still those who wish to repeat history by putting their heads in the sand i... Shows you what people are capable of. It's in everyone of us given the opportunity. Some can maintain power over it an some are easily succumbed. Intelligence and education without morals is not only dangerous to the world but it is just plain stupid. Sicko

The most universally despised man from the 20th century. He committed genocide, attacked peace-loving sovereign nations in his quest for world dominationand conducted a reign of terror over his own people. He was defeated, finally, at an enormous cost of life and treasure, but should have been stopped long before he was. He was not stopped early because there was a dearth of world leaders with strength of character. Chamberlain, FDR, de Gaulle, go down the list, they all appeased him as he was accumulating the arsenal to carry out his evil plan. Why do we not say anymore about Hitler, never forget! ? UPDATE: Just for giggles, imagine how differently World War II would have ended had Harry Truman been president in the early 40's. Would we have nuanced our way into the war under HST? Would it have taken 3,000 dead Americans at Pearl Harbor to motivate give 'em hell, Harry to crank up the arsenal and slap around that paper-hanging SOB ? UPDATE2: Sarkia points out the error i... This man ranks second, behind Stalin as the most evil man on the planet. As for hatred. I hate his guts, the majority of people hate is guts, but there are still those mindless sacks of crap that support this guy.

I really prefer not to hate anyone, but Hitler is definitely evil personified. All on this list are, and all are despicable. We must be able to recognize evil when and where we find it.

Trite as it is to say, I think he's the one. Chillingly, he was popular in Germany throughout the 1930s and even until close to the end of the war, though it is hard to get Germans to admit this; there was very little resistance to him (the White Rose is the only native group I can think of that rose to oppose him, and that was just a handful of idealistic college students). In comparing him to Stalin, it is wise to remember that there are still a lot of people in the former USSR who long for the old glory days, and edit them in their memories as being oh, not so bad, really.

Obvious choice for top billing and for good reason. Way ahead of such amateurs as Dahmer and Gacy and Bundy. Astonishing to me that there are active political movements who see him as their spiritual mentor. Actually, given my low opinion of the lumpen body-politic, not astonishing at all. Chilling though, damn chilling.

Hitler killed people just because they were allowed to draw breath. Six Million Jews followed by millions of Gypsies and others.

although stalin was probably responsible for more of his own people's deaths, hitler tops the list because in addition to being a mass murderer, he was the most egotistic and paranoid person in history.
