Although, I had to deal with them for a few years I always took great satisifaction knowing that this band was the beginning of the end of that embarrassing era of big hair glam rock bands. It didn't take long for the public to realize, "Hey, wait a minute that Axl Rose is a no-talent prima donna and that Slash is a marginal guitarist at best given to tiresome solos that any fifteen year old kid could bang off on his Sears special." The legacy of any great band is the ability of their music to transcend time.
