He had a lot of good qualities, for instance, he loved the nudie bar and hated Oprah!

Al Bundy is so big and strong and was a great football player in high school.

I love the show and I'm a big fan of Al Bundy: working class hero, champion of the underdog, loyal to his wife. I'm all for a guy like him.

If this weiner had been my father I'd have run away from home at the age of four. Lot's of class - all low.

He was one of the best. Not moral like Ward Cleaver or Cliff Huxtable, but he was an average dad, he did what he wanted, he laid down the law, but he brought home the money, didn't cheat on his wife although he had many opportunities, It seems to me that the rest of the family is what caused him to be so hateful.

Never seemed to be up to the job of being a dad. Perhaps that explains why his kids ragged on him just as much as his wife did. Good for comedic relief, but wouldn't be a good parenting instructor.

Al Bundy certainly should not be a role model or father to anyone. However, Ed O' Neil, along with some funny writers, were able to create a bad luck for life stricken character that is still likable, laughable, and watchable.

I like Al Bundy, despite being a louse he wasn't the worst father. He may have grumbled about being a father but he loved his kids, he never said I love you to his kids because he knew he didn't have too. He clearly had different views on how to raise boys and girls. He raised Bud not to be the loser that he had become, however when it came to treating women he raised him with the same attitude he had. With Kelly it was a different story, he was very protective of her, she was his pumpkin I sometimes thought she was his favorite, his little girl, his first born.
