These people who support this group of crooks must be fake! I am a very objective person and would not complain unless it was absolutely worthy. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RENT!!!! I was quoted from a female on the phone for 100 dollars for 2 days with unlimited mileage. When I showed up to the place they said "no no we cant do that". There was no sympathy for giving false information or anything. Jerks is putting it very lightly. The car was beat up and when it drove straight the wheel was turned 90 degrees to the right. These cars are not safe for anyone. Upon return I was hit with the cleaning fee and the 20% tax/surcharge. 250 dollars for 2 days. This was especially upsetting after expecting less that 100 dollars. I told (Pete) that I was given false information about the car I had reserved and he responded with "We do not have any females working here and we have not had those cars for months." This was ultimately my fault and I take the blame but hopefully these reviews can h... Read more

If you have had a bad experience with this company contact the State Attorney General. Here is a link to the online form. It is very easy to fill out. We have filed a claim and the AG's office is taking action. www.azag.gov/consumer/complaintform.html

Do not under any circumstances rent from Saban's rent a car. They charge your credit card for $$ you didn't authorize. They will cuss and swear at you if you try to get answers from them. Hard to believe these people are in business. Where is the attorney general??? Why are the police not involved. Very shady, scary place.

Ive' dealt with Sabans's on weekly basis. I live local and transportation to and from work are important to me as well as quality time on the weekend in something nice to take short trips. Saban's offers a wide variity of vehicles from cheaper work syle rentals to high end SUV's. The pricing is fair according to what your looking for. I've read some of the negative reveiws about the process of contracting their vehicles. All I can say is ask questions and read your contract stips. before signing. I find the process quite easy and the the rental guys at the counter easy to talk to. Not all of us consumers have the means of credit cards to rent with, so Saban's cash plan works for me. A deposit a short contract process and of you go. Can things happen in cars un expectly why sure, but fair response time locally with tow service is always avilable. Sometimes minor issues can arise that might be easier to handle by the renter and clear reimbursement from Sabans' by a phone call, especi... Read more

don't you love these fake posts from people happy with this company, pretty funny. They quoted me $49/day and when i went in to return the car and complain that the car's driver side wouldn't shut properly and the gear shift was attached via a nut and bolt i was met with rude brushoff - i then warned the people in line to check their car out thoroughly, the fat dude Pete let out an F-bomb in front of this customers (who had a young child) and then told me to get off his property and that i was trespassing, i left and then found out they somehow charged me a total of $93, i feel i got off lucky, canceled my CC they had on file and will chalk this up to being stupid and will always google search any company like this before doing biz with them. If you have a Saban's, you may have to put your life on hoke. Self insured, they don't settle, even if clearly liable. So, expect subpoenas. Your expense to travel to Phx for depositions ( or go tojail). Your expense to stay in town during the trial. AND, if it's your fault ( strange city, don't know the roads etc) be prepared for personal bankruptcy! Sabans is self insured and it's easier for the lawyers to go after your assets....even foreign, than their maze of shell companies.

I was quoted $189 originally for one week 10-3 to 10-10. $300 was charged to debit card, with the balance to be credited back after return of car. I called at 10:52AM ON 10-10 TO 602-269-6419 to rent the car for another day and was advised to call McDowell Road branch (where I rented the car) and talk to them. I called McDowell branch at 602-273-7353, also at 10:52 am, do not know who I spoke with, but it was a male. I asked them how much it would be to extend for one day. I was told $39, so I decided to go ahead and do so. I started to ask if they would just take it out of the $300 and the man told me to just take care of it when I returned the car on Sunday, 10-11. Fast forward to approximately 5:25pm on the same day, 10-10, I was at Glendale arena for hockey game, which I decided to leave. I come out to the car to see a man looking around the exterior and interior of the car. He went back to a maroon Suburban, then came back just as I was approaching the drivers side door. He sai... Even made it easy on me with just a cash deposit down. Sabans you guys really helped me out with that $189 weekly rental.

My son was in phoenix this past week checking out the local colleges that he's intersted in attending, thankfully Sabans rent-a-car would rent to him since he was only 19. He was able to get a car with just a depost and be on his way. The rates were very affordable, and my son said they didnt even give him grief for using just cash. I plan on using them again anytime im in phoenix.

Saban's was very accommodating for my wife and I, we flew into Phoenix to go explore the GrandCanyon, by far they had the cheapest rates. Now sure they did have a little bit of a hefty deposit on the rental, but that was understandable since they were giving me thier car, besides we got the remainder of the balance back once we returned the car. Will deffinently be calling them first anytime we come back to Arizona.

Bad business. Cars are unsafe, dirty and old. The ABS brake indicator light wouldn't turn off and there was practically no brakes. I told them I didn't want to take an unsafe car and they cussed me out. Do yourself a favor and don't go here and certainly don't sign their contract. I didn't take the unsafe car and they charged me anyway and even charged for unknown fees. They are very misleading and intimidating. What should have been $99 ended up being $200 and no car. But at least I didn't hurt anyone, including myself, out on the roadway.

My family and I flew into Phoenix from Colorado for spring break. My wife had reserved a car at Saban's on line prior to our arrival. The total price for six days was $189.00. When we arrived at Saban's we were informed that they were "out of cars". The very brash man behind the counter told us to try their other location where they have "one car left" and they will hold it for us. We arrived at their other location and this is where we met Satan in human form. Words cannot describe how rude and inappropriate this man behaved. I approached the counter and he looked at me as if he wanted to pull my heart out. No hello's.. No good afternoon.. just a very unfriendly "what?". No joke.. that is all he said as he looked up from counting a massive roll of cash. Then, he told us he did not have our reserved car. He had only one car left which we could rent for $489.00 not for the reserved price of $189.00. This was clearly very upsetting so my wife and I claimed bait and switch. Then what happ... Read more

We had a car rented for spring break week 2009. My hubby decided he wanted to economy cars instead of a van. We called Enterprise they had no cars left. We canceled the van thinking no big deal to get a new rental..Were we wrong! It was Cactus league in Phoenix and we landed with no car! Our LaQuinta airport Shuttle driver took us to Saban's and they were great ...we rented a Town and Country for a week ..brakes were squeaky but other then that it was awesome! They help us out of a JAM..as far as the insurance thing goes..I had our insurance Agent fax them confirmation that we had our own and did not need theirs..It wasn't even an issue. Thank you Saban's We will rent from you again

I went to Sabans after being referred by AVIS I am now never going to AVIS and will be taking legal action against Sabans. This is the biggest fraud and ripoff EVER!!! Do not use them!!! I truly beleive the good reviews on here are from them to get business to screw over more people and are lies!!!! The car was a complete peice of junk and broke down on me, I called the 24 hour emergency line and no one called me back at all. I towed the car to their site and when I called the next day since no one callled me back was screamed and cussed at legnth. When I called the manager he wouldn't give his name and wouldn't even speak to me. These people need to be put out of business. Anyone interested please contact me about filing a class action joint suit all together. It will be interesting to see how fast one of he fake "how great Sabans is" reviews post after this one. Phoned these clowns from the airport and was told the rate was $129.00 per week plus 12% tax, period. The first car they gave me, I drove appox 250 yards and did a U-turn back onto their lot. The lifters were so loud that you couldn't hear yourself talk in the car and the front end was completely gone. Then they gave me another car which had over 70,000 miles on the odometer but I think it had probably been around once already. In the second vehicle there wasn't one seat cushion that didn't have cigarette burns on it. The inside smelled like stale smoke. The padded part of the dash had a huge split right across it above the instrument panel and the rest of it looked like someone had had a knife fight in there. The power driver's window wouldn't roll down and the driver's side mirror adjustment was broken off. There was, what turned out to be, a clear gum-like substance dotting the entire windshield. I initially tried to remove it with the windshield washer but of course there was n... Read more
