Yancey Bros installed our home siding. Problem was that they didn't side around the windows to prevent water from leaking in (either no flashing or substandard caulking). When we called them to fix the problem, they never returned our calls, gave us the complete run around. BEWARE when using this company. If you ever run into a problem, once they have your money, they won't call you back.

Yancey hired a subcontractor to do the bathroom remodel in two rooms. He, Eric Leeth, did a terrific job for us. He was well-organized and cleaned up the work area daily before he left. He was immediately responsive to our concerns for certain aspects of the work outcome. I'd hire either Yancey or Eric in a trice.

Our job is not finished yet, but so far we have had a fantastic experience w/ Yancey Company. Robin's design sense, Patricia's flexibility, Tom's speed, accuracy and kindness put us right at ease. Most of our contact, however, has been with Mike King and his crew. Mike and his crew's expertise in all facets of construction, excellent work ethic and affable personalities have been a pleasure to have in our home. Mike, especially, has gone above and beyond on many levels; though we'll be glad to have this job completed, we will miss having him/crew around.

At this point, I am impressed with the excellent communication and long-standing business service to the greater Sacramento area. It is a family-owned business, which I prefer to work with on this kitchen remodel project for countertops. However, I am still in the planning/estimate stages. I have not hired Yancy Company YET...but, most likely will do so. Thanks! RJE-Natomas Park

To start with I have done home repair and house painting myself in the past and have some knowledge of what to expect. Yancey Bros was contracted to paint our house Sept of 06. The original crew was recalled 5 times to get a simple paint job done. The paint crew said they could not sand and prime the house as it was painted with lead based paint. I folded without reseach. Lead base paint was stopped in 1965 and this house was painted in 1974. Do the math. The paint peeled upon sprinkler contact and it took multiple threats for a return visit with some relief. It has happened again and once again I have been getting the run around. Today I am filing a complaint with the CSLB and am going to follow this through until it is done correctly. You do not tell a customer that you will come out and take care of your mistake for a fee or "you will have to sign off on your contract".

I recently received great customer service from Yancey Bros. when my roof leaked during the January Storm. They were quick to reply to my call and came to my house the same day to cover my roof with plastic to avoid further water damage to my home. I received not only wonderful customer service, but also responded quickly and fixed the leak the following day. Steve and his crew were not only very considerate of my needs, but also explained why my roof was leaking to myself and my insurance agent. Yancey Bros also provided my home owner's insurance with all the necessary information so the damages were covered under my policy. I not only recommend Yancey Bros for all of your roofing needs, but also the wonderful customer service I received. As an elderly widow, it is hard to find an honest contractor that is not only going to fix the problem, but also that will not charge me an arm and a leg. The only complaint I have was when I attempted to call Yancey Bros, I could not get a r... Read more

I had a sun room installed about 3 years ago and had problems with a leaky roof and gutter seam. I've had them out several times to do rework since the installation. The initial job was done hastily and one of the workers didn't even do basic steps, like caulking in screw holes. As of Jan 08, I have a call into them from 2 months ago now for a new leak and one that hasn't been fixed right. (supposed to be warrantied for 5 years). Slow to respond to rework, constant followup required. Would not recommend.

Would not recommend The Yancey Brothers. My newly replaced garage roof already cracked just after they left the site and had so many air bubbles. They removed my central A/C unit and replaced the board underneath it but just taped the unit and its parts back together - no water proof sealer applied. Didn't smooth the sealer they made on my siding above my garage roof. It looked like bird shited all over that siding. No foreman or supervisor on site. All workers did not speak English. They torn all my board underneath my roof without my permission. Hard to get a hold of foreman. He never answered his phone even when you left so many messages. Timeliness--NO!!!! Not recommending this contractor but if you really have to, please get a lawyer. That's what I had to do.
