06/12/2006 | This name simply means holly ie the plant we see at Christmas. This sounds like a cheerful but innocent name to me. There is something innocent about this name and a lot of Hollies Ive met or heard seem to be nice people. Put it this way, I see nothing wrong with this name.

09/25/2004 | This sweet name gives me vivid memories of Holly Hobbie, the little girl with the big blue bonnet popular in the '70s and '80s (I liked the doll, too). It's also a good Christmas name.

03/17/2004 | Personally, the name Holly sounds a bit dated now. Holly does sound Christmasy, but that just makes the name sound older to me. I have not met that many women named Holly.
