This past Christmas my husband went into this store and purchase three diamond jewelry items. On Christmas morning, when opened, two of the three items were defective! One gold bracelet had a clasp that was too small and would not close properly so it fell off when worn. It cost me $45 to take to a reputable jeweler to repair. He also purchased a diamond necklace and it had the same problem. The clasp was too small for the item and would not close securely and the item fell off when first worn. Another $45 repair! This store is a RIP OFF! Not only do they sell substandard items but they do so knowingly! So don't waste your time or your money and get knowingly cheated!! I felt so bad for my husband who was doing such a wonderful and kind thing and got sh*t upon by some real con artists! SO BEWARE!!

I just wanted to say how dissappointed I was with this store. They advertise that they buy silver coins and other old money and antique items. In their ad they say we will pay 13 times the value of coins if they are silver coins(pre 1935 or 1965). I thought that sounded pretty good. So, I took my things up there to be sold. You know what I got in return? I will tell you, I only got $50.00 dollars. I had alot of coins and things that was worth more than that. But they would not give me my stuff back. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They like to rip innocent people off. I can tell you this that they lost me as a customer and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. They are nothing but bad crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling one of these reviews was written by an owner or employee- it is not accurate. They are out to make a buck and not customer service. (as are most jewerly stores) They will do their best to take advantage of people who have no idea what the value of a piece should be, both buying and selling. Use great caution and shop around, so you can be informed.

International Diamond Jewelers has been open for 28 years and i have been using this store for all of my jewelry needs for close to 20 years. I have been around business all my life and they are a well handeled company that has great service and even better prices. I have never left this store un happy or felt like i had been ripped off like the women before had clearly stated. I am a dedicated customer at IDJ that would never shop anywhere else. I have always used IDJ for all my diamond needs with my wife through out our 15 year marraige and now that they are paying above normal prices due to the gold rush for broken or unwanted jewelery i can simply sell my unwanted or old jewelry for cash or i could double the cash value for in store credit so you cant lose either way. dont get me wrong i am a man of business and i like to recieve the best prices i can for what i am trying to sell so i went into a few competitors around the area and i was unpleased with the service. one store i fond... I asked my husband to go to this store and check out what they would pay for many fine pieces of jewelry. After receiving a phone call from my husband about what they would pay, I asked him to simply decline their offer and bring the jewelry back home. Instead, they took the jewelry, put it in a pile with other jewelry, gave my husband this small amount of money. I called them and asked that they please return my jewelry to my husband and he would return their money. They refused, and said it was too late, that my husband was an adult, he signed a paper and they had my jewelry. I asked to speak to the sales associate that my husband talked to, and the manager told me I was "not allowed" to speak to him--it was simply too late. This all took place in less than 30 minutes! I have sold scrap gold to other stores, and NEVER experienced anything like this. The bottom line is that I feel they took total advantage of my husband (who has had a stroke). Their tactics are one thing, but... Read more
