Teon (DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW)

To all... On international standards, DVD-Rs has the highest rate. There are more DVD players compatible with them then DVD+Rs. Also, Check your specs on both your DVD burner and Player for media capability and compatibility. I highly recommend using DVDFab Beta for all your ripping, and DVD Shrink (both free download)for all your size refine (the more you refine, the worst the quality; buy DVD DL Dual Layer with 8.5GB for movies). However, you can still rip & burn movies using a 4.7gb disc, but it will probably be just the main movie(something under 4.5GB). One more thing, with burning your DVDs no matter what burner your using, always burn at the lowest speed (yeah, it takes longer; but better quality). Lastly, it doesn't matter what media you get, you will have casualties (coaster, at lease 1%). Hopes this helps people... Lynx

I've used hundreds of the DVD-R disks and never had a single one go bad. I use Ulead to creat an ISO file of my photos and never had any problem with then playing on my computer or my DVD players

worst product ever!!! 100% failure, not one worked. I backed up about 60GB of data with no errors, refortmatted my system and within hours using the same hardware I can not resatore any of the data, all the disks are bad. never purchase from this company!

When I was burning them, I though everything was OK. Later I found out half of them were unreadable. Couldn't recover them. Junk. P.S. Used LiteOn and NEC dvd-burners.

I bought 2 spindles of 40 DVD-R from Staples. They burn fine, but they can only be read on the computer they burned on, regardless of what format is used. I wasted more than half a spindle making home video dvds for family and friends, and none of them work for them. I took the unopened spindle back to Staples, and they told me they get that complaint a lot. Yes, I did finalize them. I did the same with the Teon discs as I always have with other disc brands that seem to work perfectly.

I must have burned at lest 100 Teon DVD-Rs. None have failed yet. Gaucho -- Did you finalize the disks before giveing them away? I have had no problems with DVDs I've made for use by others.

Crap! Just opened a 40 pack. 1st burned O.K., next 3 won't even format on CyberHome DVD Recorder. Will never buy again.

crap, crap, crap. Bought them on clearance at Staples. $14 for 40. Will not work with Sony DW-R56A

I have tried them all... It all boils down to compatibility issues, the burner vs the type of media. I am presently using a Memorex 8X burner with Teon 8X DVD-R blanks. I've had about 2 out of a hundred that became coasters... the rest are perfect copies!

got these at staples also. had only 1 burn out of 10 tries. problems with inferior ink.

Bought 100 of these. burned 6, none played completely. Total crap and a waste of time burning. Buy American.

I bought the 20 pack of Teorn DVD+r 8x they say RW on them. They were only $4 and so far the first three i'v used have errors before it get to 15% burned. They are the only DVDs that i'v used that my DVD RW dl drive can't burn.

Used 20 of these and they work great. Had some software issues at first, but got that figured out and now these never fail to burn right.

I bought the DVD-R 40 pack at Staples over the Thanksgiving break. Total cost after rebate $3.00. Only burned 5 disc so far but no errors. They only burn at 2X speed on my 4X burner but at 8 cents per disc how can you go wrong? They're on sale again at Staples 20 for $5. I'll pick up another 40.

Not bad if you buy them for $5 for 20-pack (after rebate at Staples). No errors writing to them (DVD+R) but very bad on playing - not all players see them.

I had a major production of 65 DVD's to fullfill a delivery order. I bought the TEON DVD-R at Staples. Tried the first twenty pack and found tem to be flawless. So, I immediately went back to Staples and bought them out. I had excellent results using the TEON DVD-R disc. And what a deal at $14.94 per twenty pack. I went back to Staples one week later and the price jumped to $39.97 per twenty pack. Too bad, as I would have bought them out again at the $14.94 price.

I recently purchased these discs at Staples, they are crap, out of 20, 6 errored out, with visible spots on the disc when errored thru Nero. Some errored rather fast, others near the end. My opinion, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...
