I am a huge Texans fan and I believe their uni's and color scheme are very good, but not great. I believe they need an alternate logo. One that can go on the sleeve on both sides of the jersey. Then they can move the numbers on the sleeve to the top of the shoulder pads. The original logo is one of the best in the NFL. But I believe we should have on of a complete bull as well. That would sell alot more merchandise for the organization. Then all they would have to do is start winning like a good organization should!.

Nice uniform. The pattern could be a little less busy but the colors are good and the logo is sharp.

I do think they took a fairly conservative approach, but the tradition of the red, white, and blue, and the pickup of the lone star on the helmet is all TX. The problem I have is that the name Texans doesn't lend itself to a lot of creativity - now the Oilers logo was cool and the name even better - who could forget Earl Campbell running over people like a diesel train...

Houston, you have all the right pieces, now let's see some action. I don't care how new you guys are, knock it off. Let's go. My prediction for next year will be Houston at or above .500 Sound unreasonable? Tough. All my instinct says this team can go further than most expansion teams have. Just get your heads in the game and let's go.

Not bad home jerseys. The road uniform is the best in the NFL. They don't wear all white. I would like to see them use their red jerseys as their main home uniform and wear blue pants with them.

I am not impressed with these uniforms. They err on the side of plainess and I don't like the color choice. Why pick such a dark color for a southern city like Houston? Also, quit wearing white at home in the early part of the season!! If its too hot, close the roof and turn on the air conditioning.

Pleasantly surprised for expansion uni's. Great logo. BUT, they should have named the team the Houston Oilers and resurrected the amazing powder blue uni's and derrick (sp?) logo. Cleveland kept the Browns after they left to become the Ravens.

Remarkably conservative for an expansion team; like the Eagles', this uniform would look great with traditional block numerals. I'm not completely sold on the metallic-navy helmet shells, only because they tend to blend with the slightly-oversized decal.

excellent for an expansion team. no sleeve logos. almost enough to bring tears to my eyes. numbers a bit goofy looking though.

Good Uniform for an expansion team for sure....Originally I think they were going to go with a White helmet with ther cool LOGO and that would have been even better..ther are too many look alikes with the new teams(Falcons, Jags, Chargers,)all helmets kind of look alike.

All future expansion teams should take a look at the Texans and see what a classy uniform should look like. This team's unis look classic from day one. From emblem to colors they are perfect!

Perfect blend of being classy and modern.Home unifomrs are very nice, even the red is not too bad. When they wear all white eventually, it'll look good.

WIth the boys & the aint's in such close prox to H-town. I think the colors are perfect for the Texans. It would have been a sad day in texas had they resurected the boo blue from yesteryear.

Midnight blue - somewhat predictable. Royal blue- which is apparently out of fashion in the NFL would have been more appropriate. I did like their alternate red jersey much better.

Terrible team with a loser head coach, will lose for next decade

During this season they have a few more playmakers (Andre Johnson and Dominack Davis) and are gaining some confidence. Carr just got hurt, but it wasn't from getting sacked to much, and they are getting him some more time in the pocket. He should pass for over 2,500 yards, and they will possibly manage to slide in a respectable (for a second-year team) 7-9 record. They will finish third, above the sorry Jags, BUT they are cocky and pesky enough to beat any team on any given night. Next year they could be a playoff contender.

Glassman-are you talking about the Texans? Their uni's this season are the same ones they wore last year (their 1st season). Uninspired....? I too like the Texans sticking with a traditional approach with their uni's. The only thing different with the Texans look was when they wore a red jersey for the first, and so far only, time at home. What would you expect them to do? Something ridiculous like the Seahawks or Bills currently wear? The Broncos when they wear all solid blue? Please!

what are u kidding. the first year unis were uninspired and the new ones look like old denver unis from the 70's ugh!

For an expansion team, I admire how they went with a traditional look. They didn't give in to the marketing appeal of throwing black or teal into their color scheme as some teams have done with their uni's or uniform changes throughout the last decade. They are red, white, and blue-the state colors of Texas-and that is appropriate.

The Texans are bad compared to other teams, but don't forget that they are an expansion team. Give them time to work out what they need to do with the team, and they will someday be just as good as any other team in the league! Oh yeah, give a couple in-yo-face laughs at the guys who predicted 1-15 and 0-16. I'm not a big texan fan, but I wish them good luck with the new franchise.

a great new uniform to a city who has wanted a team since the oilers. will be a great defensive team that will go to the playoffs in two years under head coach dom capers.oh and with the people predicting 1-15, 0-16. hah you were wrong. next season will be 6-10, and after that 9-7

If it were the military, the offense would be court marshalled for desertion. Some games they showed up, some they didn't. Stacey Mack from the Jags is an immediate upgrade, but he'll never carry the franchise. A solid reciever is a must, and the offensive line must gel, or David Carr won't last through the season. It's a miracle he survived the 70+ sacks given up last season. I don't look for them to pull a Jacksonville/Carolina year 2, but they'll win some games and upset a couple of cocky teams.

Espansion teams always start out terrible, and Houston has at least a couple more years of toil ahead of them. However, the Bucs started 0-26 during their first two seasons, and won it all this year, so don't give up Texans fans!
