The new uni's beginning in 06 have way to much going on! While I agreed that the vikes needed to change from their old plain dudes, these new dudes just have too many colors going too many places overlapping each other.

Another year, another annoying player gone (only this time it's Culpepper and not Moss) and Mike Tice is gone. Brad Childress will probably really help to change this franchise. Not only did he get rid of Culpepper, he signed Tony Richardson, arguably the best fullback in the game and a really great locker room guy. It just makes it clear to me that he's turning this team into one built around the team, and not a few players. Signing Steve Hutchinson was pretty big too. They are a little thin at reciever at the moment, but I think their depth at runningback is fantastic, so their offense should do just peachy and they have been improving on defense. Could be a team to watch for.

I love the horns on the helmet. And all decked out on our all white road uniform. Looks like Nike swoosh signs

Great uniform, unique and classic. I find the road uniforms a little odd with the gold and purple band around the armpits but otherwise a solid uniform.

The purple jersey/helmet combo is great. Love the logo and the toughness of the mascot/name. The white jersey and pants is a little much and doesn't work like purple jersey does. Cool that they are still the only predominately purple team in the NFL - too much black is working its way into the unis now - glad they have not gone down that path.

Let's look at some facts. Randy Moss is considered one of the greatest recievers of all time. What's that? He doesn't play for the Vikes anymore? HA! Everything you've heard is true. Did you ever wonder what it would be like if they lost Randy Moss? Here it is Ladies and Gentleman, one of the worst teams in the NFL. What were you thinking Randy? I don't hear your name anymore. I know that's what you want Randy, media attention. I could care less if you like your team or not, but frankly, I think leaving was a bad idea. You lost a lot of fans bud. Way to go, have a great night, see you on your retirement day.

Horrible team chemstry even if they dumped Randy they still have the ticking bomb in Culpepper and who really believes in Mike Tice as a serious coach. NFL players should be aid less and playu harder, have you every heard of a viking taking a pay-cut. Or even a viking who is known for hard work.

What would you expect from me...look at my name. The 70's were GREAT, but the future is bright. Yaeh, we need an owner and a coach and a stadium...the stadium for the fans, perhaps the Twinky-Wagon for the other two!

Change helmet color to silver with gold stripe (like a real viking helmet) change yellow accents to gold and add silver as an additional accent color

The helmets are great, but the uniforms need to change. Two different styles of jerseys is unique and the Vikings should just come up with a whole new look - consistent home and road and keep the helmets.

The road whites look dumb right now with the small numbers high on the shoulder above the already high shoulder stripes. They had it right with the older style. On the home jerseys, they should bring back the three-stripe sleeves. It was the Vikings tradition. Get rid of the Norseman logo on the sleeve. Overdone. The old uniforms were stylish, but no-nonsense, just as they played. The helmets are perfect the way they are. That part should never change.

Great helmets. The new (since '02) metallic style makes them shine more than ever before. There are only two problems with the uniform's appearance; the purple never looks good in the dome (ie: GET A NEW STADIUM, FOOTBALL IN MINNESOTA SHOULDN'T BE PLAYED IN A 68 DEGREE ENVIRONMENT!), and I am one who believes purple pants should be worn on the road (*sigh* if only Detroit hadn't worn white that fateful day). The purple helps the Vikes stand out (which they never seem to, anyone agree?), and when they play road games in all white they look just like many other teams.

GREAT EMBLEM, LOVE THE HORNS ON THE HELMET. But it takes a real man to wear purple. Unfortunately, there aren't any on this team that plays indoors. I never minded their colors when they played outside in minus 4 degree weather all muddy as hell. Heck everybodys hands and feet were purple at negative 4. Maybe they should lose the preple for navy blue?

I am from Minnesota (thank god for the 1987, 1991 Twins. The Vikings every year do this (find a new way to lose). Losing on the final pass last year. In 1998 have the best regular season than any team in history and can't even get to the Super Bowl. I want to see a Super Bowl win for the Vikings, but the odds are better right now of finding a spaceship in my back yard.

What makes the Vikings fan exceptional is that the Vikings fan continues to support this team despite their history of very poor luck and post season play. The Packers fans adorn themselves with the glory days and rediculous, sanctimonious crap. The Vikings do have a great deal of talent, if only the coaching staff could properly harness it. Conversely, the fudge packers consist of extraordinarily fat, overweight (even by NFL standrads), slow slobs. Favre, albeit dwindling in his skill set, is what makes them tick. If the Vikes can replace Culpepper with someone who can consistently throw to someone with the same color jersey, they will dominate, even with poor coachiing calls.

The Vikings uniforms aren't bad, but I'm kind of getting sick of the same ol' thing. What they should do is lose the yellow trim on the numbers on both home and away jerseys, and should alternate their pants once in a while like other teams are now doing. Like they should try out purple pants once in a while on both away and home uniforms.

Pro football is a flashy game which means I generally prefer the flashier uniforms. As a result the uniforms worn by the Minnesota Vikings rise towards the top of my preference list. The deep purple and white just seems to fit Minnesota (and its native artist formally known as Prince as well). The Viking horns on the helmets are both effective and natural. One can only hope that the politically correct police do not come to the rescue of the oppressed Norsemen and make the team change its name and mascot.

Great look - the modifications they made several years ago were needed (gold trim on numbers and Viking head logo on the sleeve) and gave the look a more modern feel - but at the same time the same scheme was kept. One note - they are the only team to go from sleeve stripes to shoulder strips on thier home and away uniforms.

Unfortunately there is no rating below 1 star. What a bunch of whining preschoolers! There is a reason so many teams passed on Moss, he is a morally bankrupt delinquent(however talented he may be)that no one needs in the locker room or on the playing field. I play when I want to? What kind of Barbara Streisand is that? No one on that team has the class or work ethic of a Rice, Favre, Elway... I could think of a hundred examples. Anyway I'm not going to waste any more words on the lamest team in professional football. Oh, maybe one more word. CHOKE!

If any team in the league could suffer from a second-half choke... it ain't the Vikings. They are in a pretty bad division, and their number-one foe (the Packers) shouldn't challenge them for the division crown. BUT, the Vikings will lose in the first round. Mike Tice has done a good job of getting Randy Moss focused and playing hard, for a change, and Culpepper is playing as well as he can. The running attack is improved, too. I think 11-5 is the future for the 'Vikes' this year, and they will make a little noise before going out fighting.
