Okay so all the comments about Jeff are most likely true. He's extremely rude and condescending. However, I've lived in my apartment for almost a year now and never had any issues. The secret is to not deal with him at all. His wife (I have no idea how) is perfectly nice and helpful. If Jeff ever picks up the phone, I just hang up and try to call when I can speak to her. All the repairs I've requested have been fixed in a timely manner, my apartment is fine, and the super (who really takes care of all the problems, anyway) is awesome. Maybe they own buildings that are in bad condition and they are a living hell, but the building where I live seems to be just fine. It's old but the apartments are big and very reasonably priced for the area. I had an absolutely horrible property management company before I moved here that never fixed anything, and it's possibly that experience has also influenced my view of how bad it is. Looking at these reviews I wish I'd had the foresight to look at reviews before I decided to rent from these people. My first indication should have been when I was treated like a total moron over lease issues. Why oh why didn't I run away screaming at that minute? Jeff Tessler is the rudest, most disrespectful, hateful man I have ever met in my life. I feel worse off for even knowing him. He treats everyone like total Sh*t. Seriously he is a grade-A a**hole. And his wife and business partner is equally awful. Karma is a biitch and I seriously hope that they're going to get theirs sometime soon. If you do rent from them be prepared to live with anything that breaks b/c it is going to be your fault and most likely not get fixed. Also kiss your security deposit goodbye. They're crooks and WILL find a way to keep it. Also consider a lawyer b/c they have a lot of bogus threats about eviction, lawsuits, etc. I could go on and on and never do Bari Mgmt proper justice. All the reviews tell the 100% truth, this place doesn't deserve a single star. I have never been so disrespected or spoken to so condescendingly the way this a**hole spoke to me. From the minute he answered the phone, he was a complete d*ck and all he did was yell and ask me to pay two security deposits. He proceeded to call me an idiot after I expressed my shock and anger at his demeanor and money-hungry demands. F*** you Jeff Tessler. I hope the economy brings you down and eats you alive. If you support low-life scumbags, this is the management company for you. If you ever see this dbag, tell him I said hi and that he can go screw himself, since he clearly is not worth getting screwed by anyone else.

Jeff Tessler is a p r i c k and an idiot. Don't use him if you enjoy having working appliances, cause if they break he won't fix them. Also, he talks down to all his tenants as if he's better than them. Everybody I've talked to in all his buildings hates him as well. Make sure if you rent with him to call him out on his b u l l s h i t or else he will continually take advantage of you. And don't be scared if he tries to threaten you with a ten day notice cause he is full of s h i t and all talk. I highly recommend staying away from this smarmy p r i c k.

I rent from this Moron! He is the rudest, meanest and inconsiderate Human Being on the face of this planet! He has been described as a Hitler! He berates you, talks over you and screams at you as well as threatens you. You cant get a word in edge wise. He also uses The Blank forms for WI and IL to scare you for Eviction notices. If he sees a weakness in you he will stick it to you! Im talking about rasing your rent up a lot more then the other prevailing rents of the same Occupancy levels and ammendments in the same building. Stay far away from this charachter! He's nothing but trouble!

I HATE JEFF TESSLER. HE THE MEANEST PERSON EVER AND IS SO RUDE!!!!!! Every time I call, he belittles me, yells at me, and takes days to fix the problem. I have never in my life had to deal with someone who is so unpleasant. Stay away from him.

I would just like to give a fair warning to anyone who has to deal with Jeff Tessler. I have never met someone has inconsiderate, rude, heartless and just plain evil. He has no respect for anything you have to say and takes everything as an insult. Dont worry if anything major like a pipe breaks in your apartment because he won't have it fixed for at least 4 days. Unless you are looking to live a miserable life during your lease terms go elsewhere. The man is the devil reincarnated and what kills me is he probably looks at this and enjoys them because he is such a sick person. I feel for his family and anyone that has to come into contact with him on a day or even monthly basis. Find some place better because there are a million other places out there.

I read all these reviews not too long ago and thought "How awful can it be"? I mean, can a management company really impact your life that much? The answer is YES. Jeff Tessler is the most miserable person I've ever come in contact with. He WILL make your life a living hell. Heed the warnings...do NOT rent from this clown.

Nasty, unprofessional, lazy, poor customer service and all around the worst developer I've ever met. They make the home buying process a complete nightmare. Do nothing with Bari Management and please tell any future renters/buyers to NOT buy/rent from them, no matter how good the location. They are rude, insensitive and can make your life hell.

Recommend avoiding this management company at ALL costs. They are completely unprofessional in their actions toward renters and buyers. The developer's way of treating clients is through threats and bullying until he gets his way. Buyers and Renters BEWARE!!!

This company tries to blame their tenents for all the problems with their old buildings and don't return security deposits making a BS list of damages. I strongly reccomend you stay away!
