I have enjoyed learning how to dance at QCB. The instructors are very knowledgeable with all the different styles of dances. The teachers are great and have a lot patience when you don’t get something the first or second time around.

The staff is friendly and makes learning to dance fun for even those with two left feet. A great environment and a great place to make new friends.

When I first enrolled for a series of dance lessons, I thought that it would be great exercise and lots of fun. Two years later it is still great exercise and lots of fun! However, now there is and added element... there is a mind, body challenge - a stepping outside of my comfort zone. Tony is the best teacher! He is always patient but, at the same time challenging me to continue to learn something new. It also helps that he is real cute and a great guy! Claire

I have only been a student here for a short time. From the first time I started my classes, my instructor, Tony Prado, has made me feel at ease. He is very encouraging and the whole staff has made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Love dancing in the open space! The socials are always fun and the instructors keep the dance floor moving. They offer classes for all ages and dance levels, social and competitve, group or private. When my lesson is over I can't wait to get to the next one!

I started dancing five months ago at Queen City Ballroom; a very lovely woman gave me dance lesson as a christmas present, something she knew I always wanted to do. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went for the first time but now I can't imagine dancing not being part of my life. Dana, tony and all the instructors have created the perfect atmosphere for which to dance, a lovely studio, beautiful music and a warm smile that greets you when you enter. They have given me a reason to smile. Many Thanks

I came to Queen City Ballroom as an adult with absolutely no dance background, but with a love of music and of watching performing arts. I enjoyed dance and music as a spectator so much that it was like I could feel my heart dancing, but my body had never been taught what to do! Many instructors at Queen City Ballroom compete at international levels, receiving their training from industry famous coaches and choreographers around the world. Surprisingly, the instructors are not intimidating but very approachable and fun-loving, making it easy to feel comfortable, regardless of a student’s skill level. They couple their impeccable knowledge, experience and passion for dance with an ability to meet me where I am, building on my strengths and helping me to set goals and to develop as a dancer. Because of my instructors and a bit of determination on my part, I have confidence in social dancing for the first time in my life, and I LOVE it. The owners, staff and fellow students are encou... I began dancing a year ago at Queen City Ballroom. If I could be in the studio every day, I would. I love the instructors, the warm friendly atmosphere, terrific music, and the ever present desire from the instructors to help people learn how to dance. The instruction is excellent. They teach with patience and understanding. They gently push you to do things you never thought you'd be able to do and always pepper your lessons with humor. I danced as a young girl but never did ballroom, but my instructor is so good that he was able to have me ready for a competition last fall where I won the Top Newcomer Award! I had no idea I had acquired that much technique in that short period of time. My 14 year old daughter also dances and what it has done for her is absolutely amazing! She has transformed herself from a gawky pre-teen to a beautiful and graceful young dancer. She loves the people, her instructor, the Friday night parties - she'd also be at the studio every day if she c... Read more

We took a lesson for our wedding with Alina. She was great to work with and we had such a great experience with her. If you need a lesson definitely book her. We did have to cancel one day but we were promptly refunded our money.

Queen City Ballroom is excellent! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting to quickly improve their dancing ability. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and excellent teachers. They take dancing very seriously. Whatever your desire may be--from just dancing socially to reaching gold competitive level, they can take you there!! I just started dancing this past fall but have become absolutely hooked, have improved so much, and love it!

I want you folks to know what a good dance instructor and fine person you have in Anik Laforest. Anik is a born teacher and would probably be as good teaching math as dancing, although it would be a shame to put a blackboard in front of her rather than a dance floor. Here's how good she is: I'm an old guy, see. I made a wishfull comment about tap dancing, without the slightest intention of doing what was necessary to take tap lessons. the, last week, swallowing one hell of a lot of pride, I walked into the Dance Bag to buy a pair of tap shoes! In the back corner of the store almost hidden by racks of women's and children's dance costumes was the shoe department - full of customers. the oldest was 4. Not being in tutu, I felt out of place. Thankfully, I was not in tutu. the very young sales person advised me that tap shoes came only in women's sizes -- another gulp. I got out with a 12 1/2. Some women have very large feet. A little shaky, but feeling good about conquering p... Read more

QCBR offers the best in ballroom dance instruction. The instructors are polite and dedicated and the studio management makes sure that the students get what they pay for.

What can I say about Queen City Ballroom? They saved my life. Six years ago, I was taking lessons there and I told my instructor that I had Breast Cancer. My instructor worked with me, motivated me and gave me hope to continue. He gave me a reason to keep working and something to look forward to. He said that because I was a dancer and had to develop my muscles, I didn't have time to be sick. He helped me to get over the surgery and now, I am six years cancer free. I spent my 85th birthday in Vienna Austria and have had the joy of being the oldest person to dance in the World Ballroom Dance Championships. Now that's what I call dancing with the stars!!

I'm not familiar with how QCB does business, but I'm not surprised the reviewer had a negative experience there with Ms. Glandon. I know of her outside of the dance studio, and she has a reputation of being rather difficult. But from what I understand, she is only one of the owners there...the other co-owner, Tony Prado (also an instructor there), is much more courteous and I'm sure he would not have allowed this to happen.
