Random thoughts. Define disease. Recall Magic Johnson never looked better. Life expectancy has increased from 30-35 in 1700, to 80+ in 2000. You want it when?

Prevention of these diseases lies primarily in lifestyle changes and cleaning up the environment. While I don't doubt medical and pharmaceutical industry motivation to promote disease in order to sell their cures, there's more than one side to the story. Suggested reading: http://tiny.cc/A5bza

Cures for cancer and hundreds of other diseases have already been found....and suppressed. http://www.rense.com/health/rife.htm http://www.rife.org/ http://www.rife.de/ http://www.rifewiki.org/wiki/Main_Page http://www.rifeforum.com/ http://ridgesplace.blogspot.com/2008/06/perhaps-historys-most-evil-man.html Royal Rife audio: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=48150225066 08833849 Dr Royal Raymond Rife was a great man and a prolific scientist. Millions of people have...and are suffering and dieing because his work was suppressed by the American Medical Association. I give this listing a poor rating, because his work has been falsely labeled as quackery by the medical establishment and the current disease industry has too much momentum to stop.

By the sound of it it seems the list maker refers to finding the cure of every physical abnormalty that can kill a human. If that's the case, then the only way we could die assuming no natural disaster or accident occured in our lives would be aging, which is not a disease. So imagine that we would first stop running, then stop climing stairs, then stop walking, then stop sitting up, then stop swallowing solid food - all are natural stages of the weakening of muscles due to aging. The very last thing that stops is our heart beat, which probably feels just like falling asleep. This whole process would probably take 40 years or more from the time we stop running. I'm not sure this is a better way to go.

I hope that this happens, too.

Who wouldn't want to see a cure for all these rotten diseases? That should be a hope that everybody would want for the future.

It would definitely be nice to cure people of whatever they are dealing with. Luckily, most countries pump billions into research, so I think it's only a matter of time.

Yes, yes, and yes! People should live happy and healthy lives and die from the old age as per the internal resources of our human bodies.

I think medicine is on their way to coming up with treatments that in effect cure some of these major diseases, even if these treatments aren't technically cures. There are already ways of treating AIDS that doesn't actually cure it, but does allow the person to live a more or less normal life. The only problem is you have to be able to afford it (Magic Johnson, for example).  An outright cure for cancer is also something that I don't really see being accomplished, but I do think it will be possible to develop better methods of detecting it early, and better methods of treating it that most cancer patients will be able to continue on with their lives.

A most worthy and admirable hope that you can't fault. The problem is, even if you could eradicate all known diseases, God only knows what new dreadful ones are lurking in Christophino and Binnie waiting to be unleashed.

This is the best thing.People`s family members are dead now because we can not work fast enough to fight it.Most people either die from old age or cancer and its just sad that we can not find a simple cure for cancer when millions of people die every second.Just think in a couple hundred or thousand years from now how many people are going to be on this earth if we can not find a cure.Tahnks for reading this.Bye

I truly believe that the cure for a lot of fatal deseases already exists, but if you really think about it , why would " certain people" cure deseases if it means losing profits in millions and millions dollars, and remember that for some people it's all bout money.

Other than someone debating population growth due to this happening; why would you rate this under a 5 star? *notice it's been rated lower*

The only permanent cure for all diseases is death. More power to everyone to stall it as long as possible but it will always be the final answer.

Cancer, AIDS, and Ebola should be cured. And while we're at it, We need to prevent brain hemmorages. (So we don't have another death like Kami's.)

Definitely a goal that we should strive for as a society. With the unlocking of DNA and the huge advances we are making in bio-medical engineering, it wouldn't surprise me that we could put an end to these horrible diseases by the end of this century at the least. Already cancer and AIDS can be controlled through drugs.

One of the most noble things on this list. People worldwide have been affected by these diseases, and yet, we still have not found a cure for them. Millions of children have been affected by AIDS, espescially in Africa. Wives have lost husbands, husbands have lost wives, children have lost mothers and fathers, and many of us have lost dear friends. Every ounce of human conscience should be dedicated to eliminating these diseases.
