    I totally agree about the staff's unprofessional attitude. I liked both their furniture and prices but decided not to buy due to their salesman's rudeness. First, I was followed around the store relentlessly... I then asked for a pen to write down the names/prices of items I was interested in because I wanted to think it over and come back the next day. The salesman told me he didn't have a pin but he could write it up for me (smugly meaning he would create a purchase order for me). When I told him I wasn't ready to buy today... he told me he had to go and to come back when I was ready to buy something. I thought this was extremely rude!!! No one lays out thousands of dollars on the first furniture set they see. lol. Personally, I felt if he was this rude while I was looking... I couldn't image what the follow-up service would be like after I made a purchase. I decided to give my money to a respectful company with decent customer service. That was a huge red flag.     I call the North Randall location 1/20/2011 5:15pm I told the man that answered the phone that I received a sales papers and I wanted to know price of the futon mattresses. He told my that he did not know and that I could leave my phone number and he mite call me back. I told him that I did not do business that that. shockingly he told me that he did not either and hung up the phone. I then call the downtown location I asked the same question about the cost of the futon mattresses she gave me a price range and in the same breath she told me that they were not allowed to give out the sale prices over the phone. I thank her for being professional I understood the reasons why she could not ( i figured it was a way to get potential customers to come in the store) but I begun to tell her about the north Randall local she apologized for what was not her doing.     Daniels Furniture is the worst company ever. They have horrible services, John Blackman who is the regional Manager at the Northfield location. He Is Terrible! Absolutely terrible! He is a big Liar, and very dishonest! Oct 2009 I paid $20.00 to hold a laway. The Next month I had a fire in my kitchen, We had to live with out our a kitchen for 4 months, finally when our Kitchen was completed and we was able to put things back in order, I found my layaway slip and went to Daniels to pay off the balance, they accepted my money and I was told I could pick up my layaway next week. When I came to pick up my layaway I was told it was not available until next week. Then I call next week, still not Here, John Finally told me The Lamp I had in layaway there was not enough order so I had to wait until a few more people order the lamp then he would place an order (Waiting another 2-3 weeks) this made me really upset!     I just brought some furniture on Friday Jan the 15 and returned it the the same day They didnt delivery it. I was told that they will not refund my money for 30 days and now they have my back account tied up. I spoke with the General Manager John Blackman and he is of no help refusing to help. All i need is a letter from him stating that I canceled the order but he is refusing to do that . I would not recommend that anybody buy anything from that store at all Feed up . This ia not good customer service at ALL buyers beware.

    I also had the same experience when I purchased a dinette set. I too purchased a rental truck and went through the same experience in the same way with the very same woman she is HORRIBLE! I still love my dinette, but hate the behavior of the woman.

    Absolutely horrible. I bought a living room set at the Northfield store on layaway..Rather than pay $100 delivery charge i rented a truck.. i made payments at Northfield store and was told last payment could not be check otherwise could not pick up until check cleared. I was told needed to pick up at downtown Cleveland location. I went there to make final payment and pick up furniture and was told payment had to be made at store where i purchased furniture from. I was never told this prior. Rather than work with me, i had cash for final payment, i had to drive to other location with rented truck i was paying mileage on. Its all the same company and they would not take my money at downtown store, The lady there, who said she was Ms. Daniels was very rude, instead of finding a way to work this out, she said when you own your own company, you make the rules.
