UPDATE: Though the show had a respectable run it unfortunately started to unravel fairly badly toward the end. I have no complaint about the various episodes which remained consistent in overall entertainment value. However, the powers that be apparently in a desperate effort to mutilate the schedule and lose viewership, experimented mercilessly with erratic time changes - finally ending their spree by switching the show to an entirely different network. It got to the point that fans of the show needed to have psychic powers as well (or consult someone who possessed them) in order to discover just when, where and if this show was ever going to return. The final stupid move was the apparently slapped together final episode featuring the death of one of the most likeable characters in the show - Allison’s husband Joe Dubois. Personally I found this final development to be both an unnecessary and somewhat disturbing way to wind up the show. And for that reason, they forfeit one star... Read more

I really like the show Medium. They've made some really good solid episodes and some really bad ones, but the solid episodes definitely outweigh the weaker ones. I think to make a super-natural show like this one you need strong characters and definitely a clear sense of atmopsphere. I've seen "Ghost Whisperer" and that show seems to be lacking the very things that makes "Medium" good. I've seen a picture of the real Alison Dubois and I can honestly say the Casting Directors at the studio got it right as Patricia Arquette truly does look like her.

I love this show, but it requires intelligent viewers with the ability to conj- ure up some suspension of disbelief. Without that, cartoons may be your preference. Normal working wife & mom Alison DuBois dreams about upcoming crime(sometimes requiring tricky interpretation)and brings perpetrators to justice while resolving dreadful situations. In some ways repetitive, writers manage it keep it fresh and hold on to the viewers' interest. Stupidly, recently dumped by CBS, fans of the show were relieved when NBC stepped in and saved the day with a quick pick-up. Odd but true, this show is a wishful portrait of an United States family where everyone loves everyone else despite the more than usual moments of extreme stress. Jake Webber, as husband Joe, overcomes his skepticism with deep love, & displays incredible acting range. The kids are great and the middle one is a star-in-the-making. I'll see this in my dreams.

Good show and most of the actors on it are good. I think her husband is a pain in the butt though and I don't like the actor playing him. This is based on a real person who does work with police to solve crimes.

Good show with quality production values. Good stories and an excellent cast. The husband gets a bit tiresome the way he reacts to Allisons visions even though he knows she can't stop them. The kids are excellent and should be featured more IMO.

Very well done -- the episode where "I Will Survive" kept playing in Allison's head was brilliant

I started watching Medium late in the season and was really surprised at how good it is. I think the presentation is unique and every episode is done differently. It is creative, but I love all the characters as well. Great interaction with the family and coworkers. I really like the husband Joe and don't get the neg. comments.

an interesting show about Allison who is a medium. she works for the district attorneys office { I think} and helps them solve cases. only her family and a couple co workers know about her being a medium. she helps and solve cases. she usually gets clues from the dreams she has that helps her find out who a potential "bad guy" is. Patricia Arquette is good as Allison. some of the episodes are better than others.

I never understood the concept behind this show, or why it's so popular. I watched an episode once to check it out, and it didn't interest me at all.

I love this show. I think it is very realistic in the way that it portrays Alison and her family. I like the way she isn't a glossy medium. Her family life is the most important thing to her but her visions are a part of her and she can't avoid them. I never miss an episode.

This show actually surprised me, I didn't think I would like it, but it was pretty interesting. I seldom miss an episode. In the beginning I thought the husband was overacting but that's been toned down and I'm really happy with this show.

Best show on television today! Our family watches it together. We laugh and enjoy the relationship of the family. In our opinion, the most realistic show of aworking couple with kids and their life....although I think the husband does more child caring than most these days! :) This is not a show to take seriously because if you read the book by Allison Dubois (yes, she wrote an autobiography) she does not dream about dead people in the way the t.v. show does. I don't necessarily believe what happens in the show but it is fun to think it could happen this way!

What is really sad is that many people actually believe that this is a crime-solving tool.

It's a shame that NBC couldn't have found an lead actor for this new series who could actually act. The storylines are supposedly taken from real events. That might make a good book, but the presentation of this program is dreadful.

I really enjoy this show. It's not typical in any way, which is refreshing. I get sick of seeing the same storylines and charcter types on television.

This show is the best show of the mid season! I never miss an episode. It's different from the shows on today. Great acting, great story lines, every thing about this show is great! I'm glad it's doing well in the ratings, and I hope it's on for a long time. I agree with Castlebee, it is an engaging drama.
