I use to love Slinky's, I still remember the theme song. I use to try to make it walk down the stairs and do whatever I saw the kids doing on the commercials. I loved the different colors too but its easy for them to get tangled. My son tore his up in one day but he had fun.

it has about 2 minutes of entertainment value but they do come in handy when you've locked your keys in the car.

I find that Slinkys' are like people. There not good for much, but they are sure fun to watch when you shove them down the stairs!

give three stars since they are still affordable. had one when I was a child and so did my kids. bad thing is It was rare for them to actually go all the way down the stairs. eventually they end up twisted like a string of christmas lights. awful quick to lose interest in.

especially down a huge flight of stairs, see if you could line it up just right, so it would crawl all the way down :D

Cute ads- but c'mon. . .who else thought this one was wildly overrated? It was a toy we were 'supposed' to have and after 30 minutes we moved on to something else- the bike, the football, dad's collection of underage Swedish porn. . .

Some people are like a slinky. They serve no real purpose, but they sure bring a smile to your face when someone pushes them down a flight of stairs.I love that joke.

Cool at first, but somehow they'd find a way to break. It would confuse me how they'd consistently get tangled up - you know, how a couple rings would get crooked and then the thing wouldn't go down the stairs right. Then you'd call your Dad over to bend it back but at that point the only thing you could do was buy another one.

Mine were always tangled up within days. By the time I was old enough to play with them responsibly, I found them boring.

slinky was boring. what fun is it to watch a spring walk down the stairs? the newness of that toy lasted about half a second.

When I was little (er, LITTLER) my sister's boyfriend got my slinky in a knot. I never forgave him for that!

Slinkys were a big deal for awhile when I was a kid. Once you did the down the stairs thing it was pretty much all over. Eventually, they will twist the wrong direction, become warped and spend the rest of their toy life laying in the back of a closet or bottom of a toy box. That is until your mother decides to toss it out.

One time, when my physics teacher was out of the classroom. We builte a giant staircase out of books and chairs and raced slinkies down it. Great fun.

The simplest, pointless toys of them all. I had alot of fun with mine. I spent a good half hour on the stair with it.

I thought these were pretty fun as a kid, but looking back, I now realize these things only lasted like 5 minutes before being all tangled up.
