I am a couple of months past my operation at Park Avenue. I went to have both distance and reading improved. I can drive, both day and night, my vision is 20/15. I can read most of the time without reading glasses. Only late at night when my eyes are tired do I use cheap 4 dollar reading glasses. Dr. Chynn and his Fellows tell me that will keep improving. LASEK is more expensive than LASIK, but these are your EYES, you can't even correct for reading with LASIK.‎

You may wonder why this doctor has so many positive feedbacks where as other LASIK/LASEK doctors don't and are far from even having 4 out of 5. Is he really that incredible? He must be the best LASEK doctor in New York if he has so many great reviews. Personally I was a bit put off by their desperateness for business and I feel it is only right to inform people that their office pays people to put up reviews and videos of their experience. For $100 per review I can see many people willing to do that and most would put up a positive review for the money. I am not saying Dr. Chynn is a terrible doctor or not experienced but their office is a bit too business like for my taste. Their main goal is to reel you in, get you started on tests before you are even sure about wanting LASEK. They are very good at persuading clients and offer many ways to reduce the cost, mostly in the form of drawing in more business. The information and seminars they provide are very helpful though and they are ... Read more

I have played baseball for many years and have been told to try out professionally. Every time I would try out for some big team, my eyes would always be the problem. I usually wear contacts when I play, which easily fall out at times, costing me big errors. Since the league prohibits players from wearing glasses on the field, I have to wear these big nasty goggles, which are very ugly looking and annoying. I finally considered LASIK. I decided to go to 3 places before making my decision. Park avenue Lasik has to be the worste place out of the 3 places I went to. The staff was rude, very unorganized, and their main goal was to make you book for surgery or lose their jobs! The Doctor seems to be controlling too many things at the same time. More business oriented then medical. He even claims he has a MBA degree. There is not much technology here. They offered LASEK only. I was looking for things other places had like the Intralase, the Wavelight Allegretto CUSTOM wavefront, etc. They d... Read more

I can understand why there are so many positive reviews about Park Avenue Laser Vision. So let’s add another to the list. Before my surgery I needed my glasses and contact lenses for everything, but now, thanks to Park Avenue Laser Vision, I can do everything without them. My vision is clear and crisp, thanks to Dr. Chynn and Park Avenue Laser Vision in Manhattan. It was a true pleasure going through the surgery and the results were absolutely amazing. Kissing my glasses goodbye and welcoming 20/20 vision was totally cool. I’m still amazed when I wake up each morning and can see everything so clearly. The procedure is very easy and the staff and Doctors are extremely professional throughout the entire process. They use the most advanced laser vision correction equipment in the world today, and the results are incredible. It’s very relieving knowing that I do not have to go out and purchase eyeglasses or contact lenses anymore. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best... Read more

I had my Epi-LASEK surgery the Wednesday before Memorial Day (5/20/09) so I could heal during the long weekend, and be back at work that Tuesday. It was done at Park Avenue Laser Vision (www[dot]parkavenuelaser[dot]com) to correct my Rx of OS -3.25 and OD -3.75. I posted a YouTube video (username: "herbrock17") The POV shown was not the DVD Dr. Chynn provides you of your surgery from the camera attached to the laser. My DVD was accidentally ejected by one of the receptionists...I'm actually glad my wife was with me in the O.R. recording everything with our camcorder...from being prepped for surgery, everything in between, to the end. I like this better actually!! How did I come to choose having my surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision, you ask?? I did a TON of research prior to selecting Dr Chynn. First was the no cutting, no flap LASEK procedure (different from LASIK). Second was Dr Chynn's credentials (Dartmouth, Columbia, Harvard, Emory, NYU...and he's a member of MENSA)!! Third is... I had LASEK eye surgery about 1 month ago by Dr. Emil Chynn from Park Avenue Laser. The experience was great and I am very happy to say after one week, I was 20/30 already! My original prescription of my contacts was - 8.50 while my glasses were - 10.00. It is truly amazing how I can wake up and see everything in my room in the morning! I can now even save time getting ready without putting contacts on! I'm going to Costa Rica next week for a surfing trip and I get to see surf and swim hassle free! The surgery was pretty quick. There are pre-op tests done before hand but the whole procedure under the laser was 60 secs per eye! Dr. Chynn lets your bring your favorite CD or iPod in to play in the background to make you more relaxed. I even have a video of my surgery if you guys want to see it =) My prescription is pretty high compare to the average person. Dr. Chynn says after one month, you will have good vision and after 3 months, you will have your best vision. Since I am younger ... Read more

had my eyes lasered at Park Avenue Laser Vision three months ago, and now I see 20/20. My prescription was moderate (around -4.50 in both eyes). I chose LASEK so that I don’t have to worry about flap complications during and after surgery, and Dr. Chynn is the only surgeon in NYC that offers LASEK. I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure. My eyes were dry for a couple of weeks but that is normal after surgery. The doctors are great. They answered all of my questions and did not charge me for the punctual plugs. It has been a wonderful experience for me to be able to see without glasses. If you decide to get lasered at Park Avenue Laser Vision take the advantage to ask questions and the doctors are more than willing to answer all questions.

I had my no cut lasek done 3/13 (Yes, Friday the 13th!) and it was absolutely successful ♥ The staff were so helpful, especially with the fact that they, themselves, had the procedure done as well so I didn't hesitate to ask them questions about what goes on, how it went for them or anything. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the procedure took less than a minute per eye! Not only the staff but the doctors are helpful as well. Dr. Chynn's office participates in helping Fellows learn the procedure so there's no nurses or technicians. Only doctors seeing you and getting to know you. I'm so grateful to everyone there and to Dr. Chynn for making this possible for me. I have a fairly strong prescription and spent so much money on glasses (at least $200 for lenses alone!) and you can forget about contacts. I can't even wear them b/c my eyes would get so irritated D: It's exactly 1 week since I've had the contact bandages removed and I'm doing great!

After a friend got the Lasek surgery, I was happy to go for my free consultation. I have worn glasses since the third grade, and contacts since seventh so after 20+ years of putting up with glasses and contacts and being extremely frustrated while skiing, swimming, boating or fishing I was thrilled to learn that I was in fact a candidate. Drs. Alameda and Puri were very very helpful throughout all the consultations, carefully explaining the entire process, all of the medications, and the ancillary treatments such as the importance of using a cool mist humidifier, punctal plugs, and the re-wetting drops. When I met Dr. Chynn, I was very impressed with his attention to detail in regard to my previous eye exams, and for the care and concern he places in all of his patients. On the day of the surgery, everyone on staff was very accommodating and made me feel very relaxed. Believe it or not, the surgery was over in a virtual instant, and I cannot explain the joy I felt upon sitting up t... Read more

Choosing to do Lasek Surgery was the best decision of my life. I could not stand wearing my glasses and I was afraid at the idea of getting Lasek, especially since I am a photographer and my eyes are what keeps my bills paid, but Dr. Chynn?s staff was extremely professional and friendly, and assured me that this was the best decision for me. I managed to have my consultation on Monday and my surgery on Tuesday. No problems or complications at all. It has been two months since my surgery and I can see perfectly fine. I recommend Park Avenue Laser to everyone.

park avenue laser is great! the procedure is very fast and dr. chynn and his staff does everything to make sure you achieve the best results! one thing that they do is they make sure that you study your prescriptions that way you heal quickly and see 20/20 in no time. the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. they will answer all of your questions. they also remind you via email that you have appointments coming up. i had a moderate prescription with a very high astigmatism which meant i would heal very slowly. my post up checkup, i was at 20/30 vision, after 1 month i was at 20/25, my 3 month post op i'm at 20/20 and still getting better! next month will be my 4 month post op and i'm extremely happy with the results. if you follow the instructions carefully, it's worth it! i work as a professional trader from home so its very important to get up and go but now i dont have to worry about wasting time putting in my contacts. i think having dr. chynn perform my lasek was the bes... I had a prescription of -5.00 in one eye and -5.75 in the other with slight astigmatism. I had been wearing glasses for 21 years and contacts for 18 years. I couldn't see anything or do anything without my contacts or glasses. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I didn't feel anything or experience any pain during surgery. Surgery was very quick. Vision for the first few days was a bit blurry but by the about the 4th day everything starts to become clearer. During the first 4 days post-op I didn't experience any pain and there was hardly any period of being uncomfortable for me. It is now a little over a week and my vision is much better and continues to improve daily. I still can't believe I don't have contacts in and can SEE!!! I'll be able to Snowboard, go to the gym, and do all sorts of physical activity without the hassle of contacts. Thanks!!!

I had my surgery with Dr. Emil Chynn several months ago so I feel obligated to offer my opinion and share experience with his Park Avenue Laser center. My vision is still not where I want it or expected it to be at this point. Having talked to other surgeons, I was irresponsibly not informed by Dr. Emil Chynn and the staff about all the options I had for laser surgery, specifically the Visx Custom Lasik with Intralase option (I believe it is called iLasik with Wavefront) which is the current best standard. In addition, Dr. Chynn had the nerve to claim that his LASEK was the only one to avoid dry eye after surgery, which I found out was also not true! Not only do I have terrible dryness in my eyes several months out, he had the nerve to suggest further surgery to address my dry eyes? I feel so deceived! The Visx custom with Intralase procedure requires special machinery that does cost more money and takes more effort. I can see from a business standpoint why the Center only performs LAS... I had thought about getting laser eye surgery for a long time, but was always put off by the cost and the risk. Park Avenue Laser Vision helped me come up with ways to reduce costs, and introduced me to LASEK, a procedure that does NOT involve any cutting at all, and which Dr. Chynn performs exclusively in New York. I was visiting family in New York when I went to Dr. Chynn’s office and saw how easy and painless it was, and since the recovery time was short, I was able to have surgery before flying home. Once I was in California, I had post-operative visits with an ophthalmologist here, and he communicated with Dr. Chynn’s office to ensure I had the best results possible. I don't have 20/20 vision only because my vision was horrid to begin with, and some regression is normal. However, I'm still happy, since I don't need glasses or contacts at all.

I am currently doing a voluntary fellowship in Refractive Surgery with Dr Emil Chynn at Park Avenue Laser Vision and therefore, I can share my experience as a fellow here because I am not an employee. This is my second fellowship as I did my residency in Ophthalmology and fellowship in Retina from India and practiced there for about 8 years. I am really fortunate to be trained by Dr Chynn who is an outstanding surgeon and a great mentor with excellent credentials. It is one year of training in LASEK, a no cut, no flap procedure, which in the present times, is the most advanced techniques of laser vision correction. Dr Chynn is a perfectionist and a hard task master. He is an expert in ?Patient Management?. He trains his staff well to provide a high standard of care for all his patients, which, I believe is in the best interest of the patients. My training is really intense and rigorous as there is no room for error in this field. Our patients are all smart and educated people who res... Read more

I?m more than happy to share my exciting news with you. I had LASEK surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision (Nov. 19th ?08) and I am thrilled to know that I now see the world without the hassles of contacts and glasses. I am a 20 year old college student. I was on the high side of astigmatism. My Rx was (-4.75, -3.00 x180). Therefore, contacts lenses were very uneasy on my eyes and only wore them for very special occasions. My daily life is busy like any New Yorker I suppose. From studying intensively, working with children, to boxing, swimming, belly dancing and last but not least cooking; Life is less hectic without glasses getting muggy, or braking into pieces. LASEK is completely flapless, greatly reducing possibility of complications. If you are thinking about laser vision for yourself, Park Avenue Laser Vision provides free consultations and conducts monthly live laser seminars. You can personally witness the case and painlessness of LASEK surgery just like I attended and w... Read more

I am extremely happy to report that my recent surgery on October 8 was a huge success. My vision started deteriorating at age 6 at which point I started where glasses, then contacts at age 12. Before the surgery my prescription was an extremely high -8.50. NOW, at age 28, after following ALL of Dr. Chynn's post-operation instructions to the last detail, to my AMAZEMENT I am seeing 20/20 as of about 3 weeks ago. My prescription was so high that I more than likely would NOT have qualified as a candidate for the old-fashioned, cutting LASIK procedure... The no-cutting, no-flap LASEK procedure is much safer and my result is proof of that. I can also say that the Laser Simulator that I created for Park Avenue Laser Vision was VERY helpful in getting me to relax during the surgery. Having LASEK was no doubt the best decision I've ever made, and I will be forever grateful to Dr. Chynn for the miracle he has given me. I have two words for anyone considering LASEK... DO IT!!!

After years of contemplation of laser eye surgery, and half my life wearing glasses and contact lenses, I finally listened to my best friend?s urging to get laser eye surgery. My sister had had it, as well as many friends and clients, all successfully and she activated me from ?thinking about it? to actually doing it. My whole experience at Park Avenue Laser was warm and professional. I felt completely safe with their committed doctors and state of the art technology. The preparation and procedure itself were as smooth as silk. I actually enjoyed the 4 days of recovery with my eyes shut. It was a great chance to rest, be taken care of by a roster of friends and listen to podcasts. Three months later, my vision is 20:20 and it feels like a dream. I?ve gone from being the one among my friends who couldn?t quite make out the details in the distance to being the one who points out every detail. Seeing well feels like a luxury, especially when I go to bed at night and don?t have to deal ... Read more

I contemplated Lasek for years, but was just too nervous to do it. I met Dr. Chynn at an animal rescue benefit, and seeing the real person behind the doctor helped me to put my mind at ease. I finally did it, and I could not be happier! It's been a year and half since my right eye had Lasek, and I am just wondering why I never had it done before! The amount of time saved with contact lens fumbling has been a gift to my busy lifestyle. I couln't even read the E on the eyechart before, and now my vision in the eye Dr Chynn performed Lasek on is perfect. Thank you!!! - Holly I got Botox there - and WOW! I was thrilled with the results. I referred two friends and got referral bonuses, meaning my next treatment was already half paid for. I was really surprised at how quick and easy it was, and it took away those crows feet.

I had my Lasek surgery done about a month ago by Dr. Chynn at Park Avenue Laser Vision. It was a great experience. When I arrived for my consultation I was very nervous. Dr. Chynn answered all of my questions throughly and honestly, not just telling me what I wanted to hear. I had a very high prescription, I was a +6.25 in the right eye, and + 7.50 on the left (yeah I was blind). He asked me a few personal questions, and ran a few tests. Not long after we decided what procedure would be best for me. By the end of my consultation, I felt so comfortable that I actually scheduled my surgery for the next day. Sugery went great it was absolutely painless, I even got to listen to my favorite cd while the procedure was being done. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. Now only a month after surgery and I am already seeing 20/25 in both eyes, and is expecting it to be even better. Thank You Dr. Chynn.

I had my surgery on Thursday, June 26th late in the afternoon. I was nervous at first, but my friend was a great coach. I highly recommend having someone extremely patient who will talk you through your fears and comfort you. Needless to say, the procedure was quick and painless, and when I sat up I could see perfectly! I literally lost it and cried tears of joy. I felt like the family in Extreme Home Makeover when they move the bus. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Dr. Chynn and the rest of the staff were all very supportive and friendly and were great at answering questions and putting my mind at ease. A month later, my life is completely changed for the better. For a while I had to stop myself from wanting to ?take my contacts? out before bed and got excited every time I realized they weren?t there anymore! I highly recommend the wonderful staff at Park Avenue.

Absolutely painfree and best decision I have ever made. Yes Lasek is a big investment, but I can honestly say being as blind as a bat, for my entire life and finally going through with eye surgery was worth every penny. Park Laser is extremely professional and makes sure you are comfortable from beginning of your consultation to the end. They don't pressure you or try to sell you anything. The entire laser procedure literally takes just about few minutes and they ask you to bring your own music so they can play it for you during surgery. Plan your schedule well, however, as you need to keep your eyes closed for about 3 days after surgery. I did mine during July 4th weekend, and I was bored out of my mind but at least I can finally see now! The staff and service is extremely friendly, they truly make you feel at home. They also provide great discounts and offer different services according to your personal needs.

UPDATE: It has now been seven weeks since my LASEK and epi-LASEK surgery, and I think it's safe to say my eyes are just about all the way healed. Because my prescription was so high, it has been gradually getting a little better as the days pass and my eyes continue to heal on a microscopic level. I visited the retinal specialist for a checkup and she said my eyes healed beautifully and everything looked great. When I went for my 4 week check-up, Dr. Chynn said I was somewhere between 20/25 and 20/20, which is really great. I can tell the difference though between which eye had LASEK and which has that added high-definition crispness ? and while I can see and read great with both eyes, when I close my left eye, everything with my right eye only is much cleaner and crisper than with my left eye alone or both eyes together. It was actually the opposite of that first week, when the eye with epi-LASEK was still healing and therefore was blurrier and tougher to focus than my left ey... Read more

Before surgery I couldn?t see anything clearly without glasses. Even worse, all outdoor activities were a strain. Needless to say I couldn?t score many points playing basketball. At work I wasn?t able to use a computer for more than an hour before I started getting head aches. This not only affected my performance but also my attitude. Now that I?ve had the surgery I finally have a full field of vision during every waking hour. Being able to walk outside with no glasses or contacts and seeing everything is amazing. I highly recommend LASEK surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision. It's safer than LASIK over long run, and not painful. They run free monthly seminars open to the public at their practice. You can email call (212) 741-8628 to register for the next seminar. Don?t miss out on the chance of a life time.

My name is Liliya Sakovich. I am a Physician Assistant and I have known Dr. Chynn for four years. In addition to being a happy patient, I use to work for Dr. Chynn for over a year. By working for Dr.Chynn, I can personally tell you that the medical treatment is top of the line. Every patient is seen by an M.D. or a Physician Assistant and we treat everyone like family. It is the Parkavenue laser vision motto to give individual attention to each and every patient. When I first came to Dr.Chynn, I was seeing 20/400, and now four months after the surgery I am better then 20/20. My vision is wonderful and the only thing I question now is why didn?t I do it sooner. Dr. Chynn is a top lasik surgeon. He received his degrees from Columbia and Harvard. Since a lot was expected from Dr. Chynn at these great institutions, Dr. Chynn demands a lot from his staff. I can assure you, having worked for him, that he provides the best care to his patients.

I can honestly say that the LASEK surgery was the best eye care decision I ever made due to the fact that I don?t ever have to wear glasses again. Every weekend, I race my motorcycle at race tracks all over the country. I am not only a motorcycle rider but I race every weekend. It is great that speeding at 180 miles an hour in a quarter mile I have no fear that my glasses will fall off or contacts will pop out. This makes my ride so much more pleasurable.

I was terrified for days beforehand. I was the worst patient ever. But once they gave me a Valium before the surgery I felt gooood. :) Then, during the surgery, I literally felt nothing. Everything just looked blurry. I focused on the light and breathed. And then it was over. There was no pain at all during the surgery. The second and third days were kind of painful, like a bad eye infection (that's when I went into terrible patient mode--I called the doctor at 6 AM, I called Dr. Chynn at 8 AM, was into the office at 9:30 on Saturday morning-- there was nothing wrong, just me being scared. Dr Chynn called back my cell a few hours after..) The fourth day I woke up and said, wow, I'm better. And now I'm running around with a backpack, sunglasses, and a baseball cap playing tourist all around NY.. exactly one week after. I was VERY GOOD about eye hydration beforehand, I must say! He and his office made the procedure go smoothly and told me everything I would expect to experience before the procedure and after. Everything is great now! I don't have to worry about having foggy glasses during the summer or while working out anymore.

hi! I had my Lasek with Custom View done here at Dr. Chynn's office almost a year ago, and I am fully greatfull for the benefits of having the Custom View during the procedure. I am better than 20/20 now actually 20/15 wich means that if you were born with perfect vision I see a little better than you now! Why that?...because I can see in High Definition after the surgery , my perception of color , depth and reality it's enhanced. Two months after the surgery , on a beautiful autumn day, I was hiking upstate NY and got truly amazed with the diversity of colors and tones I was seing...nothing like ever seen before even though I had glasses or contacts with up to date prescription! Don't think twice , just call Dr. Chynn for an appointment , get your Lasek with Custom View done and see what I see...for the rest of your life ! Truly AMAZING!

Everything from the girls at the front desk to the doctors was great about my visit to Park Avenue Laser. They were really patient with me and took all the time needed to explain the procedure in detail to me and explore different payment options. Their operating room is all glass so you can watch other patients get their surgery, and also watch it up close on a big flat screen tv in the waiting room. It made me much less anxious after seeing other people get it done, and see how easy and fast it was. If you're thinking of getting laser eye surgery, I highly recommend coming here!

When I decided to finally go ahead with laser vision correction I knew I wanted to find the best place possible. Like any good patient I did my research and went to a few other centers before deciding on Park Avenue Laser. They were extremely informative and even let me go in the operating room during a surgery so Dr. Chynn as well as the other doctor's could walk me through the process. My various testing took no time at all and within 3 weeks of my initial visit I had my surgery!! I know have 20/15 vision and can't explain the joy waking up everyone morning and be able to see perfectly! I recently flew internationally and was overjoyed with the experience of not having dry eyes and my contacts bothering me on the plane! Park Ave Laser was extremely helpful, informative and gave me one of the greatest gifts possible.

I am originally an ophthalmologist from Colombia. I have several years of clinical experience in refractive surgery. I have performed more than 5,000 radial keratotomies, 4,000 laser eye surgeries and more than 200 Corneal Transplants. I have been training under Dr. Chynn as his refractive fellow. I have acquired more knowledge from Dr. Chynn in the last year than I had learned in the 20 years working as an ophthalmologist. I am finishing my fellowship. I decided to get my eyes corrected for monovision. I totally trust Dr. Chynn with my visual acuity. I will be lasered by Dr. Chynn on June 27, 2008. After assisting him with hundreds of surgeries and knowing that Dr. Chynn has extremely high standards, I have complete confidence that Dr. Chynn will give me the best surgery results. You are welcome to come and see my Live Laser Surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision. Please call (212) 741-8628 to RSVP.

I am one of those people who started wearing glasses and contact lenses by the time I was 13 years old. People with high myopia can sympathize with me because I could only see hand motion without contact lenses or glasses. I have been thinking about the procedure since 2001. Every time when I heard that a relative or friend had LASIK, I would research about the procedure. But I was a ?scaredy cat? and afraid of getting my cornea cut. After years of struggling with contact lenses, I had the epi-LASEK procedure performed on my eyes by Dr. Emil Chynn on April 30, 2008. I finally took the plunge based on the thoroughness of Dr. Chynn?s evaluations after years of indecisiveness. I was very impressed by Dr. Chynn?s credentials. He is a Columbia and Harvard-trained physician who also elected to further his formal education with a one-year refractive surgery and corneal fellowship at Emory University, where he studied under Dr. George Warning MD, one of the world?s leading authorities ... Park Avenue Laser Vision leaves no loose-end, even when it comes to the technology being used, using only the best equipment, such as the VISX Star S4 Laser. Not all laser surgery centers are equipped with the newest and best equipment, thus not ensuring the best possible laser surgery outcome. I have learned much from him about laser eye surgery, and as well as becoming a great doctor. He truly puts patient care at the forefront, making sure patients receive adequate care and attention, following up on patients from their initial consultation to after their surgery. For those interested in getting laser eye surgery, Park Ave Laser is the place to go. Unlike other center, only medical doctors examine your eyes and assist as laser technicians in the surgery room, making sure you get the best care from free consultation, pre-operative workup to post-operative care. Working for 3 years at the practice, all of the patients I have witnessed were satisfied with outcome of their surge... Read more

Before surgery my eyes were around -7.0, -8.0, high astigmatism. My surgery was in March, and now in 2 months (May) it's reached 20/20, and still improving. I highly recommend LASEK surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision. It's safer than LASIK over long run, and not painful. They run free monthly seminar open to the public at their practice. You can call 212-741-8628 to register. for the next seminar.

I had my laser eye surgery from Park Ave Laser Vision and now I finally have freedom from wearing contacts and glasses after twenty years! My visions are just incredible I actually see better than before. Because I had Customevue done surgery as well I absolutely get no glares at night and feel like I can see thru them. Even I noticed in day time it is less bothersome with sun when I play tennis. I also had monovision done so that I don't have to bother with reading glasses when I get older. The staff there were very helpful made me feel at ease during the whole time I was there. Not to mention the whole surgery took less than a minute and I felt it was very safe procedule absolutely no pain involved! I highly recommend Park Ave Laser Vision to anyone who is thinking about getting a laser eye surgery!

I'm in my 40's and was getting to the age where reading glasses were looming. I had a prescription of OD -3.75 and OS -3.50 with mild astigmatism. I had consultations with a couple of Lasik eye doctors, visited Dr. Chynn's office, and did my due diligence with research on the internet. I decided to go for the Lasek procedure at Park Avenue Laser Vision even though Lasik would have been totally fine. FIrst of all, the staff at Park Avenue Laser Vision is excellent. All of them are thoroughly knowledgeable (one's even a pediatrician by training) and all spent as much time as I needed answering questions and allaying any concerns I had. I met with Dr. Chynn a couple of times and emailed him when I had additional questions; he always responded in a timely fashion. Dr. Chynn, his staff, and the literature he provides does a good job explaining the risks, so his patients can make an informed decision about what they are getting into. As for the the offices, they are, in comparison to... Read more

Having Lasek surgery performed at Park Avenue Laser Vision improved my life in ways I wouldn't have thought possible and opened up opportunities I wouldn't have had, specifically within the Aviation industry, without corrected vision. They worked with me for the best results. It was quick , professional and I've since left a life of fumbling for glasses and contacts and entered into one of having perfect 20/20 vision. There are some days I even forget about how bad my vision used to be.
