We have been wanting to try out this place for a while now. This past Saturday we finally did. I was actually mad at myself for not having gone there earlier! Their pizza is to die for, definitely the best in DFW and probably among my top 5 overall (including but not limited to pizzas in L.A., NY, Chicago, France, Germany, ITALY etc.): great crust, amazing cheese, not too much sauce, great (and generous) toppings.... We actually ordered way more than we could eat that night, so we had the leftovers for dinner the next day. EVEN AS REHEATED LEFTOVERS THIS PIZZA EASILY BEAT ANY OTHER PLACE HERE IN DALLAS!!!

Hey people! Dont waste you time reading the not so nice reviews, cause they aren't true! Besa's Italian food is literally some of the best Italian that you can get outside of ITALY and/or NYC! This family-owned restaurant is full of some of the most lovely, honest, respectful hard working, people i have ever met...and you can taste it in the food! They have perfected all of their menu items, and the fast and friendly waitstaff really have it down pat! Besa's is perfect for a cozy date-night or for a family get-together. I always leave happy, satisfied, full, and with pleanty of leftovers to hold me off till i have to come back for MORE! :)

I try to frequent small independently owned restaurants to support small businesses and find them usually customer oriented, polite, friendly, etc. and happened on Besa's almost 5 years ago. I even suggested it as a first date with my now gf. We have been ordering delivery and dining in now for almost 5 years. In this time, I have never once complained about service, the food itself or anything. Until today. We ordered 2 pizzas for the evening (1 mushroom & 1 sausage). When we got the pizza in the door and opened the box, we noted the sausage pizza smelled funny...like b.o. or dirty socks. We continued on thinking it may have been the dough cuz sometimes pizza dough gives off a weird smell at times..... so we started to eat and found there to be something wrong with the taste of the sausage pizza. We immediately stopped eating and talked about it. We both felt that they should be notified and we called to inform them of the situation. When we called the employee immediately put th... Pizza is amazing, the Italian dishes remind me of those from Bronx's Little Italy. Try the Baked Ziti I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.

found while walking toward hobby lobby...and decided to stop in for a quick lunch upon ordering the very nice server told me about the lunch special...and I placed my order spaghetti w/ meatballs and it comes with free bread, salad, and a soft drink with refills wow...what a deal and the portion was huge I had to take some home. their meatball was very tender and flavorful, and the spaghetti was cooked just right, wasn't under or over cooked. the salad had a very full tasting house vinagerette dressing with banana pepper (which i love) and a huge cup for soft drinks which I didn't need any refills at all. it was a very good experience I would give it a 5 star but the deco is very fast food ish and family styled but the food was fantastic and the people/server there were wonderfully nice and helpful to me I'd definitely go back there again

I'm originally from Boston so I'm accustomed to real pizza. Besa's is the best I've had in Dallas, and I've looked around a lot. My wife and I have been eating there for two years now, and we've never had a problem. The pizza is consistently awesome, but only order seafood if the owner is there. He makes sure everything is fresh and that the sauces are made correctly. The only times we've experienced less-than-stellar food was when he wasn't there, but it was still good. Quality is so much better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill, and prices are lower. Delivery service has always been very timely and in good condition too. The only downside is that they close at 10pm. If they stayed open until 11pm we'd probably eat there more often.

Wish they were open later too. * Overall user rating: Highly Recommended

I used to order Besas delivery often. Then I took a bite of pizza and bit into a plastic piece. I have no idea what the plastic piece was from but I do know it chipped my tooth. I figured it was a fluke so I ordered from them again. I got halfway through the baked ziti before I looked at my fork and saw a short curly black hair. This was the last time I ate there. The food is great, but I am not that excited about finding surprises in the middle of my meal.

Allow me to start by saying that, I have never written a restaurant review, or any review for that matter. My wife loves Besa's. She's eaten there off and on for years. Long story short, they delivered my pizza folded in half. I called back, and asked for a manager. When I explained the situation, I was told that's what they always do. If a customer orders a medium they give the next size up at no extra charge. All of their customers love it, and they've never received a complaint. I found that hard to believe. If you're gonna give someone a larger pizza, wouldn't you give it in a larger box? I assume someone made the order wrong and smushed the pizza into a smaller box to cover up what would have been a simple mistake. Instead of admitting that someone made a mistake, the manager tells me "You got a bigger pizza than you paid for. You should be happy, instead you complain." When I ask him to send the driver back, he tells me I'm going to be added to the No-Service list. Now I know B... Read more

I ate here about 3 weeks ago. I left so mad at my experience I felt I must write. The food here is pretty good and plentiful. The service is just horrific. They bring you rolls with your order (sometimes hot, sometimes cold). Just be prepared to not get any additional rolls unless you pay for them. We asked our waiter FOUR times for more rolls and did not get any until I turned nasty. They have kids waiting on you so that could explain a lot. I have eaten here about once per month for a year. The service and food seem to be taking a turn for the worse. I plan on going to Amore in Richardson from now on.

Hunger for great non-chain pizza one night lead me to this place. I walked and became ravenous by the delicious smells. My dining companion and I were seated promptly on arrival and drink orders were taken then. We decided on the veggie pizza and when it was brought to us it was pleasently covered with various vegetables. The crust was not greasy at all and the sauce was light as well as the cheese. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to enjoy our meal with out the constant interruptions of most places. We enjoyed it so much that after classes on Mondays for 3 months straight I swung by and picked one up for dinner.

This place is great. My wife and I moved here about a year ago and realized that the area has TONS of restaurants. We don't like to go to the same restaurant over and over since there is so much to choose from, but Besa is our exception. We eat there about once a week. Remember that when you read these reviews, anyone could have written them. The last girl that says it is a horrible place just because she found a hair needs to get a head check.

My boyfriend and I moved to the Carrollton area and were looking for a new place to eat which we dont often do. We found this little pasta and pizza place and it looked cozy so we went in. At first it took them 20 mins to even come up to us and it wasnt even busy. So we get our food and the food is really good we finish and i ask for more rolls. I open my roll up to put butter on it and there is a hair in my roll i was totally disgusted. I asked for the manager he came up and asked what the problem was I showed him my roll and he said ok I'll compensate the rolls for you, I replied the rolls come with the meal and you know that and he responded very rudley to what I said and said he has been here for 5 years and nothing like that has ever happened before, then he accused me of tainting to roll!! I was very upseted by this so I just decided to leave and never come back to this restaurant ever again. All in all it was very rude of him to accuse a paying customer of tainting food and ... This place is friendly, warm, and inviting. Like a big happy family environment. What's more, the pizza is incredible. Try the white cheese pizza. Add garlic and eggplant, and it's the best tasting pie on the planet. The regular pizzas are great. The pasta dishes are also delicious. It's OK to bring your own wine. Highly recommended!

Besa's is awesome! I get take-out from here on a regular basis, and have never been let-down. The quality is consistent and the value is unbeatable. Every time that I call in an order, the staff is friendly and competent (which is sadly a rare quality.). I am a huge fan of their baked ziti, which is large enough to split over a few meals, and even maintains its wonderful taste after having been microwaved. Ultimate comfort food spot!

Such a cozy and relaxed atmosphere - Love it!

I miss my Chicago style pizza but, this is very good and close to the comfort food I like. Not sure if this Besa's is the same as on Jupiter (north of Arapaho on the East side of the street) but I go there for lunch often. 2 huge thin slices, salad, and drink for $6...can't beat it. Service is great and nice little Italain feel to it. Can't beat it and highly recommended!

Definitely the best pizza I've had in Dallas, but everything else is great too. I've had several pasta dishes, the lasagna, salads, and a few sandwiches and it's all outstanding. The service is friendly and attentive, and you can bring your own booze. You really can't go wrong.

I can't believe the amount of food you get for the price, and quality is superb! I love the BYOB policy, as it's in the part of town where they can't sell wine or beer, but bringing your own is better, because you don't have to pay restaurant prices. Great quality, dependable, consistent service.

I ate there for the very first time yesterday. It was fast, inexpensive, delicious, hot and there was plenty of it. What a deal, especially for the price! It's a no-frills place, but that means you get what you pay for - not for the overhead. The service was fast, the people friendly and the food was terrific. Not only will I go back - but I am adding Besa's to my catering list at the office!

I have been eating at Besas for about three years or so and I completely love every single thing I have tried and Ive had practically the whole menu! I try to go as often as I can and I feel like part of the family because Im there so much. They have a very friendly staff, prompt seating, HUGE portions, and prices you wont believe (you're set with less than $10 for dinner). I love the creamy pink vodka sauce so I recommend the baked ziti and the stuffed mushrooms in pink sauce (and off-the-menu gem). Besa's Pizza & Pasta has definitley spoiled me and has set the standard very very very high for good food and good restaurants. No other place even compares.

I love Besa's Pizza and Pasta, i probably eat there 3 times a week!!! The food is great, the service is the best i've seen in a long time (ask for Fjolla I.), and i highly recommend the Baked Ziti with meatsauce (it's in a pink vodka creeaaammyy sauce- family secret), Chicken Marsala (its delicious in a mushroom sauce), or the SEAFOOD A LA DAJA (with mussels, clams, A LOT of salmon, and shrimp in linguini pasta in a lemon butter sauce)- these are just some of my favorites, but then again EVERYTHING there is DELICIOUS!!! Anyone out there looking for some good, cheap food go to Besa's! Portions are more then generous and it's a place where you can even alone and have a good time with all of its wonderful people. If you have kids, not a problem! Take them with you and order some of the delicious food from the KIDS menu. It's a great place where you can have a great time with your family while enjoying scrumptious, mouth-watering FOOD!!! Again in a scale of one to ten i RATE BESA'S a 20!!!... Read more

In Short Plastic blinds, burgundy vinyl tablecloths and metal paper napkin holders mean people come here to chow, not dine. Patrons order by the slice or pie, thin or thick crust. The Everything Slice feeds the most voracious appetite, topped with pepperoni, hamburger, sausage, ham and three veggies. Generous ladling creates stew-like lasagna, with ribbons of pasta swimming through meaty, chewy cheese sauce. The menu also offers fish, veal and cold or hot subs.

I found this great italian place a month ago hidden away in a dallas strip mall and i fell in love with it ever since then. The pizza is to die for and the toppings are more then generous. They have the greatest lunch specials where one can get any slice of pizza, tossed salad and a drink for 5 bucks!!!! Dinner is quieter and they have table service... all around a wonder full place that serves the freshest food in everything they make. like i said im hooked and if you try it once you will be in the same boat. go try it!

If you know what real pizza is then you will love Besa's Pizza and Pasta. I have been a Besa's customer for well over a year now. Every time I have ordered from there, usually takeout, the food has been excellent. The value is unbeatable and the food is very authentic. The pizza here is great. It's authentic and flavorful. The only other thing I have tried is the ravioli. Also, very good. I only wish the portions were larger. One order of ravioli won't fill you up. But the pizza? It will fill you up and make you come back here again and again. Service has improved from when they first opened to the point that it is VERY good. Ambience is more like a diner than a pizza place, but that's okay. It's still comfortable. And they always keep that soda machine in top condition, because the fountain drinks are pure, clean, and ice cold. Check into this place. You'll love their pizza!

on and off for five years I spent in Dallas, the discovery of Besa's was enlighting. Coming from the east coast I hardly expected the quality of darn good italian food in the Dallas area. the first few years I treated myself several times a week to the Philly cheese steak (wit out wiz) and enjoyed the best pizza outside of New York, but it couldn't be beat in the land of salsa!. the other italian fare was well worth the trips to the diner. Pasta and meat dishes were flavorful and alway consistent, the staff readily recognized me when I entered I only mentioned that I wanted the 'regular'....

Besa's does not deserve to be ranked so low on this list. The pizza is some of the best I've tasted. Service is very friendly, food arrives promptly and very reasonably priced. If you like Carmine's you will love Besas. I now order from them about once a week.

Ate at Besas and ordered lasanga. They took a frozen chunk of lasanga and put it in the oven for a few mins. When it got to my table, the inner part of it was still cold. I went back again to give the place another chance. This time I ordered a plate of fetuccine. It was cooked fully but tasted so so bland I didn't even finish half of it. A third visit proved my last. Nothing I've ever ordered here tastes good. The place is clean, but it is not cozy or romantic, and the food is terrible. Expect frozen-reheated dishes. Eat here at your own risk, and if you don't believe me... try it and then come back to tell everyone I am right. After you eat here you'll wish you ate somewhere else. Anywhere else.

This is the ultimate place for people like me who like relaxed places that don't demand much from their patrons. The food is awesome and best of all, I can afford it! The service is very friendly, and after a few visits you start to feel like you know the staff. I highly recommend the Stromboli - the meat sauce that is served on the side for dipping is amazing. Their special itialian salad dressing is the best I've ever had, once my wife asked to buy some to take home!
