This is quite possibly my favorite place to work out! Not only are the instructors positively wonderful and the work out painfully awesome, but it's such a cheerful place to walk into when you may not be excited to work out. Every teacher I have ever taken, Whitney, Laura and Katherine has been beyond fabulous! Definitely check it out!

I discovered 5focus through my job at lululemon athletica back in November 2008 and it changed my life...literally. Something you need to understand: I am a core person - it's my "vanity spot". I've kicked its ass for years and tried every "core exercise" in the book. The Kinesis Wall takes core to a whole new level. I left my first class feeling core muscles that I didn't even know existed...and from that moment on, I was addicted. I've been an athlete my whole life and Kinesis meets all my fitness needs - improving my cardio endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. The workouts are never the same and keep my body guessing. Besides the amazing workout, they also have massage, fascial stretch therapy and nutrition consultations. All facets in one place to nourish your mind, body and spirit. Now that's something worth looking into, people.

The Kinesis classes at 5Focus are some of the best exercise I have ever had. The instructors are helpful, and they know their stuff. It's got great music, and over in the blink of an eye! LOVE IT! cynthiaroman

Everyone is so friendly, the white chicken chili is amazing, and the pastries are great (especially the bran muffins). It's off the beaten path, so it isn't overcrowded. Always clean, great music, free wi-fi! Check it out!

Looking for an alternative approach to back or neck stiffness, try the facial stretch therapy. There is a reason why professional athletes get stretched by a physical trainer before they compete

I have tried a variety of work out types over the years and Kinesis is the best, most efficient work out. It's fun, fast and you see results immediatly; you'll notice how much taller you sit at your desk and that your abs, those muscles that are so hard to work out, feel stronger. 5Focus is a facility that is about whole body health. You leave feeling more aware of what your body needs. There's somethgn for everyone and I would recommend it to anyone.

I see Laura Robinson for a combination of Stretching and Physical Therapy. The Stretching Methodology comes out of the Stretch to Win School in Arizona, something quite unique. Combined with her PT skills, she has helped me more in four months than many others have in 10 years. They also have excellent exercise facilities, massage, and a great cafe serving excellent organic coffee and eats.

I go here for Kinesis classes and really enjoy it. The classes last 45 minutes and are a seriously efficient work out. You transition between the "Kinesis Wall" (you'll have to see it) and floor exercises every few minutes, keeping it dynamic and interested. Class sizes are usually small with no more than 4 or 5 people and the instructors are all really competent and encouraging. I love it. Oh another plus -- they don't do memberships, you can either drop-in or buy packages... but no contracts, no monthly fees. The facillities are clean, bright and uplifting... like a studio/spa. It's a super convenient location for anyone living and/or working in or around SLU and THERE'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE PARKING. It is metered, but the cheaper 10 hour kind... not the 2 hour parking you find a few blocks up. Any of my fellow urbanites will certainly recognize this as a major perk. My experience overall has been very positive and I'm looking forward to trying out some of their other class... Read more
